Granger causality of Carbon allowances and Carbon offsets in the Korean carbon market.
In the Korean carbon market system, KAU is the most representative Carbon allowance, and KOC is an external project allowance that can be exchanged for offset allowance. In the carbon market, these two are traded at 1KAU = 1KOC, but the values of the two products do not match due to various factors. In this study, the stability of the two prices was tested and the cointegration relationship was investigated. While measuring the Granger causality of the two variables, it was found that there was a change in the causality of the two variables in the first and second transition periods of the Korean carbon market. This appears to be due to the difference between the first and second operating periods for the upper limit of the use of offsetting allowances for proof of compliance
Covid-19 and pulmonary thromboembolism: a case report
COVID-19 is an acute viral infection caused by SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. This pandemic disease stands out for the marked variation in the clinical characteristics of patients, ranging from asymptomatic cases to severe organ dysfunction and death. Serious complications occur in the late phase of the disease or even after viral infection, and thrombotic events are one of these complications. In this context, this study aimed to report a case of an obese, young adult female patient with a complication of pulmonary thromboembolism after infection by COVID-19
Study of the Application of User Security Techniques in the Network
Mapping user behavior on the network is one of the fundamental points for the development of security measures against intrusions, however, despite a large number of platforms and programs adopting protection standards, users are still poorly understood about their security, so, this article sought to study user security techniques on the network as a way of identifying to what extent their actions may constitute a risk or protection for their security. of a data collection questionnaire, which was prepared online and later collected responses from 222 users in Manaus-AM. From the data, a certain balance in the behavior of users can be highlighted, indicating that he is more aware of the risks, but performing actions that leave him exposed, it can be seen that through the data obtained, his behavior brings surprises to some people. situations. The main conclusion of the study reveals a certain balance of user actions regarding their security while in the network environment, so the contribution of the research is in the description and presentation of the user\u27s security actions while in the online environment, an area little explored by the academic research. Finally, a proposal for a future research agenda on this topic is also presented
Nursing care in combating and preventing the risks of hospital infection
The aim of this study was to understand the factors predisposing to the development of hospital infections, as well as to explain the risks of contracting hospital infections to which patients and professionals are exposed in hospitals. The study was conducted through a narrative review research, with the collection of data in books, official publications of the health area and, mainly, published articles. Through this study it was possible to conclude that there are numerous biological risks to which nurses, other health professionals and patients are exposed, which predisposes them to the development of hospital infections. Therefore, it is necessary that nurses receive instructions and training on the biological risks to which they are exposed, as well as on the need for the use of personal protective equipment and other precautionary measures. Here is the warning about the importance of adopting biosecurity measures to avoid exposure to these risks
Blood alcohol level and toxicologic test in drivers killed in road traffic accidents in the coal region of Santa Catarina State, Brazil
To investigate the epidemiological profile and the toxicological analysis among drivers fatally injured in road traffic accidents (RTAs). Methods: Retrospective observational study with 185 fatalities occurred in the coal region of Santa Catarina State during the period 2011-2017. Results: Mean age was 37,34 ± 15,08 years and male gender was the most frequent (92,4%). The most prevalent city was Criciúma (25,4%). The majority presented negative blood alcohol level (49,7%) and negative toxicologic test (61,6%). Among positive toxicologic tests (18,9%), the most frequent drugs were benzodiazepines and cocaine (both with 5,4%). Conclusion: It is important to emphasize the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or other substances. We also suggest the implementation of toxicologic tests in police blitz and the improvement in these exams to diminish undetermined results
Autonomy In the Choice of Childbirth in The Primiparous: Understanding Reality
Every pregnant woman has the right to care during childbirth and postpartum, and that this is performed in a humane and safe way. To ensure autonomy, it is necessary to put the woman in control of labor and birth, providing the necessary knowledge that allows her to make decisions about her own body. The study aimed to know the autonomy and knowledge of primiparous women in choosing the type of delivery. This is a qualitative field research. The participants were primiparous women, who agreed to participate in the research by signing the Informed Consent Form. The interviews were conducted after approval by the Research Ethics Committee under protocol n. CPEA 31364620.8.0000.5428, opinion n. 4,300,350. In view of the results, the following themes emerged: Reception and neglected bond between health units and pregnant women, revealed by reports of negative and frustrated experiences in the parturition process. Factors that prevent the autonomy of the choice of delivery in pregnant women and negative experiences and frustrated expectations regarding the moment of delivery, in which the reports indicated a lack of explanation of the procedures, lack of communication and prejudiced decision of the physician in relation to the delivery. It was concluded that the study showed the need for actions aimed at women’s health in the pregnancy-puerperal period, which enable conditions for female empowerment in decision-making about the body itself
The use of the Problem Based Learning and podcast in the learning of the curricular component philosophy in high school
The issue that guided the development of this study was: Does the utilization of Problem Based Learning (PBL), involving the resolution of everyday problems and philosophical themes, presented in podcast format, potentialize the learning of Philosophy for high school students? Based on this research issue, the general objective was drawn: to analyze the potential of PBL and podcast media for the meaningful learning of the Philosophy component in High School. The instruments used for data collection were: a preliminary questionnaire with students, records made through Google docs, during the application of the seven steps of PBL, production and recording of podcasts and comments made to t hem. In addition, a self-assessment and peer assessment were carried out with the students, culminating in a round of conversation. An interview with the teacher was also carried out to analyze the process experienced. Data analysis was performed from two categories that emerged from the theoretical framework and data obtained. It was evidenced that, in the application of PBL combined with the construction of a podcast, in the discipline of Philosophy, in High School, students exercised their protagonism and learned to work collaboratively with their peers
ISP - IFRO SLICE PROTEIN: automatizing the process of protein fragments extraction
Macromolecules are proteins formed by amino acids joined by peptide bonds, and can be described in different structural levels: primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary. It’s possible to extract a small part of the three dimensional structure of the protein to be used as a ligand. However, the extraction of fragments by experimental methods is expensive and time-consuming. In this context, the development of a web service to extract fragments of three-dimensional proteins makes the process more assertive and less costly. The methods used for the development of the protein slicer web service were the Python programming language, and the Javascript, PHP and HTML languages are being used. And for the testing of the system, three-dimensional structures of proteins present in the RCSB Protein Data Bank (RCSB PDB) were used
Cyber-Pedagogy: Human Instrumentalization and Machine Mastery
The use of virtual and digital technological resources is a phenomenon that crosses humanity in such an intense way that it often interferes with the existential naturalness of individuals and allows to launch to the world, even if in a subtle and gradual way, a relationship of mastery of the machine with the mankind. The work aims to make the reader aware of the problem of the human-machine relationship and bring paths and reflections based on a perspective of studies and debates in the field of Philosophy, about this functioning in which it can generate a subservient behavior of the human as the creator of digital functions. but that loses this domain due to the self-development of the machine. The study\u27s methodology is bibliographic research, as well as references to films and series such as Akira (1988); Neon Genenis Evangelion (1995) and Ghost In The Shell (1995) that address this issue and serve as a basis for analyzing the facts raised as problematic. The main result of the research was the discussions based on the term Cyber-pedagogy, which is replaced and empowered from a neologistic perspective that attributes this term to a pedagogical operation in which the autopoietic machine educates the individual and can subject him/her to a process of human instrumentalization, of which the human would be an instrument for the use of the machine and digital resources by losing its essence as the creator of the virtual digital resource
Economic indicators in the cultivation of passion fruit (passilora edulis) in the central region of Rondônia – Western Amazon
Brazil is the world\u27s largest producer of passion fruit, with an average annual production of 700,000 tons. Although the production of the fruit is concentrated in the northeast region of the country, the states of the Amazon region have a significant production, especially in Amazonas, Pará and Rondônia. Even though there are several studies on passion fruit, there are still few works that address the economic aspects of the activity. Thus, the present study aimed to measure and analyze the main economic indicators of passion fruit cultivation in the Central Region of Rondônia, Western Amazon/Brazil. To reach the objectives, this descriptive and exploratory research, used the bibliographical research and the field study, promoting the collection of data through interviews applied to passion fruit producers established in three municipalities contained in the Western Amazon / Brazil - specifically in the central region of the state of Rondônia, and the information collected was treated qualitatively and quantitatively. Thus, it was especially found that the average monthly Return on Investment (ROI) of the activity was 3.98%, the average profitability was 10.86%, while the average profit was BRL 8,853.28 (US$ 2,425.56) per hectare grown from the fruit. Furthermore, through Pearson\u27s correlation analysis, it was found that most economic indicators were highly dependent on the “production” variables
