Use of Online Social Networks and Mental Health at maturity during the Covid-19 pandemic
The aim of this study was to analyze the impact of the use and non-use of online social networks on the mental health of Brazilians aged 50 years and over during the emergence of the Covid-19 polydemic in Brazil. 571 people participated, aged between 50 and 88 years (M=58.83; SD=6.74), 78.5% of whom were female. = 237) was composed of elderly people (over 60 years old). Regarding the use of online social networks (RSO), 93% of the participants stated that they used these tools. As instruments, we used a sociodemographic questionnaire, the Self-Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ-20), the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HAD) and the Perceived Social Support Scale (EPSS). Regarding anxiety, depression, CMD and Perceived Social Support scores, no differences were found between people who use OSR and non-users of OSR
Sustainable development and environmental education in the Dessana Indian village, Tupé/Manaus/ AM.
This research has the theme sustainable development throughout environmental education, in the Dessana indian village, based in the Tupé community, in Manaus, Amazonas State. The aims were all focused on developing pedagogical proposals so that the Dessana Tupé-AM community indians get to know the theme of sustainable development and environmental education. It has been used, as methodology, on-site field research which showed the Dessana community inserted in a economic system, that determined social context amendments in this people, making possible service offering, such as turistics visits in village na on their territory, cultural presentations in resorts and in other turísticas spaces, craft selling, with the goal of preserve the culture, the traditional knowledge and sustainability. However, when it comes to environment preservation it is possible noticing that the indian village have not gain yet actions that inform about the existance of material that do not decompose naturally, as the organic products, something learnt with their ancestors experiences. Therefore, it urges Environmental Educational actions to avoid enviromental impacts. From this contexto on, it has been designed a pedagogical proposal with the insertion of a booklet that aims to demonstrate the enviroment education journey and development that intends to contribute with a learning process in a more significant way, for their own contextualization and recognition on the environment they are

Implementation of a filter for active noise cancellation in earmuffs for agricultural tractor operations
The implementation of agricultural mechanization is of paramount importance in modern agriculture, providing the replacement of manual and animal work with the aid of modern machines, contributing to an increase in productivity in crops of increasingly larger areas. However, the use of these technologies can bring some inconvenient factors from an ergonomic point of view. Machine operators, for example, are exposed to high noise levels from tractors. Its harmful effects on health are not limited to hearing alone, but can also cause emotional, cardiovascular and fatigue disorders. There are two methods for noise attenuation: The passive method, which consists only of a physical barrier between the listener\u27s ear canal and the external environment, and the active method, which is based on electronic equipment capable of generating a signal that the phenomenon of destructive wave interference. Agricultural operators often use passive noise mufflers which have the disadvantage of attenuating all sounds indiscriminately, thus limiting the operator\u27s auditory perception. In this context, this work proposes an implementation of active noise cancellation that cancels only noise, allowing other ambient sounds to be heard normally. The work developed is of an experimental nature, where a noise source in an agricultural operation was analyzed, which was used as an input signal for the construction of the filter and simulation. The filter was able to perform active noise cancellation using the LMS and NLMS algorithms, but the NLMS presented better results
The Analysis of the degree of risk of R&DI projects using fuzzy logic to identify technical feasibility
Currently, business structures are increasingly focused on pursuit of continuous improvement in their processes so that organizations can remain competitive in the market, since customers require more and more products or services with high quality levels. With the reference this scenario, this work brings a methodology of analysis of the risk of R&DI (Research, Development and Innovation) projects, using the fuzzy mathematical model, developed in an organization whose core business is the research and development of new technologies. This analysis occurs through the development of linguistic variables (input), with the aim of identifying measure the degree of risk in projects. After the determination of the guidelines to be followed, it was possible to obtain results that demonstrate that the developed fuzzy model can assist in the identification and prioritization of the variables that increase the degree of risk of technologies development projects
The Effect of Software Instruction on EFL Students Pronunciation Skills
The main purpose of the research aims to explore the effectiveness of students using software to learn English pronunciation skills in particular. Nowadays, English has become a bridge of communication around the world. Whether in work or society, good language skills can further expand social and communicative abilities. In recent years, the ability to communicate in English has been regarded as an important part of life, and many channels and methods have been used in learning to improve English ability, using software to learn independently, and learning easily without pressure. The researcher in this study adopted MyET, a professional listening and speaking training software, to explore the impact on students\u27 English pronunciation. MyET can score oral ability, analyze and provide diagnosis toward pronunciation, intonation, fluency, etc. MyET allows students to learn English on the one hand, and on the other hand, students can continue to learn independently when they are out of the classroom. In order to better understand the effect of MyET on students’ English pronunciation, SPSS was conducted through pre- and post-test results to achieve statistical analysis. The result reflects that our assumption is established that software instructions employed in authentic classroom improves students’ willingness and effectiveness in English learning
Temporal dynamics of size spectrum of a fish population in neotropical reservoirs
Studies on the size spectrum allow indirect inferences of how the energy flows from one organism to another. Assuming that the bottom-up is more intense than the top-down mechanism along the cascade of reservoirs, which limits the growth and development of individuals, we investigated the effect of a cascade of reservoirs in a neotropical basin on the stock and distribution of the population of Oligosarcus longirostris, a species at the top of the food chain. Samples were conducted quarterly in five reservoirs, from March 2004 to December 2008. Stock size was estimated by catch per unit effort (CPUE); to establish the size spectra slopes of fish, we used Pareto I model, and data was analyzed using univariate analysis of variance followed by Tukey\u27s test. There was a higher proportion of smaller individuals in the first reservoir of the cascade, with a decline in this proportion along the succession of reservoirs in the cascade. It can be concluded that there is an effect of the reservoir cascade on the abundance and size of individuals of Oligosarcus longirostris
Primary care and vaccination: challenges and contributions for the Brazilian population
The present research delimited as objective to carry out an investigation on the challenges encountered by Primary Health Care and its Contributions with regard to vaccination for the control and immunization of the population. It is essential to consider contemporary narratives - national and international - that orbit around the central axis “Primary care and vaccination”, which consisted of: immunization; population management; quality of life; contributions; challenges and vaccine coverage, in a timeline from 2019 to 2022. As challenges, we deal with disinformation, or even fake news, which confuse the population, leading them to disbelieve in the vaccine potential. Finally, we analyze what have been the main contributions of primary care to improve the implementation of vaccine management. We resort to portals such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the Ministry of Health of Brazil and articles from the Vitrual Health Library to strengthen that, in Primary Health Care, vaccination services offer important evaluation indicators, which have been demonstrating, as over time, the contribution of vaccination actions to the health sector, characterizing them as one of the most rewarding, in view of the impact on disease control
Educational interventions in relation to the level of physical activities for police officers: a systematic literature review
To systematically review literature in relation to the effects of health education interventions on the level of physical activities for police officers. A systematic review of controlled clinical trials, real-life experiences, quasi-experimental and observational studies investigating the effects of health education interventions in relation to the level of physical activities for police officers. The following electronic data-bases were adopted: Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, PubMed, Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde, Education Resources Information Center and Plataforma Rede Nacional de Atenção Integral à Saúde do Trabalhador. Data collection was carried out in accordance with the main items for systematic reviews. Five articles were selected (N=1302 participants). Improvements to primary and secondary outcomes in the interventions performed in groups or individually, in person and with long-term monitoring, were observed. With reference to the outcomes, educational interventions enabled the improvement, in a statistically significant manner, of the level of physical activities (60% of the studies), reduce body mass index (60% of the studies) and reduce arterial blood pressure (20% of the studies). Educational interventions are capable of improving the level of physical activities, body mass index and arterial blood pressure for police officers
