Village fund Village Fund Usage Improvement Strategy in the Effort to Reduce Poverty in Bogor District

    No full text
The primary objective of the Village Fund (Dana Desa) is to enhance village autonomy through community development and empowerment, aiming to alleviate poverty. Nationally, the allocation of the Village Fund reached IDR 538.94 trillion during 2015–2023. However, this increase has not had a significant impact on poverty reduction in Bogor Regency. Expenditures relevant to poverty alleviation, as stipulated in Minister of Home Affairs Regulation No. 20 of 2018, primarily fall under the community empowerment sector, as they directly relate to human capital development and village infrastructure. This research aims to (1) analyze the utilization of the Village Fund in poverty reduction efforts in Bogor Regency and (2) formulate strategies for its improvement. The data utilized includes primary data from 20 respondents and secondary data from the BPKP SISKEUDES system, encompassing all planning and realization data for the Village Fund across 416 villages during the 2019–2023 period. Analytical methods employed include simple regression, descriptive analysis, SWOT analysis, and QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix). The research findings indicate that expenditures in the community empowerment sector have not significantly impacted poverty reduction. This is attributed to their persistently low proportion (12.09%) and the suboptimal management of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUM Desa), which contribute, on average, only 10.50% to the village's original revenue (PAD). Furthermore, a significant majority of villages (approximately 71%) that provided capital to BUM Desa have yet to generate any PAD. Therefore, strategies to enhance Village Fund utilization include synergistic oversight through joint audits, optimizing human resources and technology, and strengthening information systems in Village Fund management to support effective village development. &nbsp

This research aims to analyze the influence of inflation and efficiency on the performance of sharia banking in Indonesia, as measured by Return on Assets (ROA). The data used is monthly time series data from 2014 to 2023 obtained from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and Bank Indonesia (BI). The analysis method used is the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) to identify short-term and long-term relationships between variables. The research results show that inflation has a significant influence on sharia banking profitability in the short term, but does not have a significant impact in the long term. In contrast, operational efficiency, as measured by the ratio of Operating Costs to Operating Income (BOPO), has a greater impact on Islamic banking profitability than inflation. These findings confirm that increasing operational efficiency is the main factor in maintaining the positive performance of Islamic banking amidst economic fluctuations

With profitability serving as a mediator, this research seeks to examine the impact of Good Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility on business value. Managerial ownership, institutional ownership, and independent commissioners are the proxies of good corporate governance. The GRI is what's known as "Corporate Social Responsibility" in the business world. Return on Assets (ROA) is a measure of profitability, while Price to Book worth (PBV) is a method for calculating a company's worth. The 23 consumer products businesses listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2019 to 2023 made up the population in this research. Utilizing inferential statistical analysis tools and a purposive sample procedure, this research quantifies its findings via statistical analysis. For the purpose of calculating each variable, data is retrieved utilizing documentation approaches by obtaining sustainability reports and annual reports from the Indonesia Stock Exchange's official website. This research found that good corporate governance has an effect on company value and profitability. Firm value is unaffected by corporate social responsibility, on the other hand. Firm value is influenced by profitability, which is an independent variable. Good corporate governance may increase a company's value, although profitability might mitigate this benefit. The impact of CSR on company value cannot be moderated by profitability as a mediator variable. This research has many limitations that make it unsuitable for use as a comprehensive reference for enterprises outside of the consumer products industry. It is recommended that future studies include firms from other sectors and include additional elements that contribute to the growth of company value
