Profitability and Financial Performance in Islamic Commercial Banks: Testing the Role of Good Corporate Governance as a Moderating Variable
This study examines the impact of profitability on financial performance in Islamic Commercial Banks and the moderating role of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) from 2019 to 2023. Using purposive sampling, 15 banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) were analyzed based on annual reports, though data limitations due to missing or incomplete reports posed challenges. Financial performance was measured by Return on Assets (ROA), while profitability was assessed through Net Profit Margin (NPM). GCG variables included the Independent Board of Commissioners, Board of Directors, Institutional Ownership, Sharia Supervisory Board, and Audit Committee, selected for their role in maintaining financial stability and ensuring compliance with Sharia principles. The results, analyzed using multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA), indicate that profitability significantly influences financial performance. However, the Independent Board of Commissioners, Board of Directors, and Institutional Ownership did not strengthen this relationship, likely due to their advisory rather than managerial roles. In contrast, the Sharia Supervisory Board and Audit Committee enhanced the relationship, highlighting the importance of Sharia compliance and financial oversight. The study is limited by sample size and data constraints, impacting result generalizability. Future research should expand the sample and explore additional governance mechanisms unique to Islamic banking to provide deeper insights into financial performance determinants
The The Influence of Perceived Convenience and Service Quality on Customer Loyalty (A Study at the Brilink Agent Bio Energy 2 Sidoarjo)
Banks are business entities that collect funds from the public in the form of savings and then distribute them to the public in the form of credit and/or other forms to improve people's living standards. The development of the digital world means that the banking world does not want to lose promising business opportunities. In short, work competence, workload, and adversity intelligence had a significant effect on employees’ performance at KSP KOPDIT Mitan Gita, with work motivation as an important mediator.
Prohibition of Sexual Marriage in Batak Toba Samosir Traditions Perspective of Islamic Law
Regulations regarding mahram and the prohibition of intermarriage in Samosir Batak society are some of the important aspects that influence social life and marriage. The clan in the Samosir Batak tradition has a very central position, so the prohibition on intermarriage within the clan is regulated to maintain the purity of the lineage and social harmony. In Islamic law, the prohibition on intermarriage can be analogous to the prohibition against mahram, namely people who are forbidden to marry because of blood or marriage relations. This research aims to examine the relationship between mahram in Islamic law and the prohibition of intermarriage in Samosir Batak custom, as well as explore the similarities and differences between the two. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a normative approach. The research results show that there are similar goals between the two systems in protecting offspring and family honor. However, there are differences in determining which parties are considered mahram and semarga. This research suggests that there should be a deeper understanding of these two systems to create a balance between religious and customary law in Samosir Batak society. Even though there are differences in determining who is considered a mahram in Islamic law and who is considered a clan in Samosir Batak custom, these two systems have the same goals of maintaining family honor, protecting legitimate descendants, and preventing marriage within a close lineage. Socialization and Education require more intensive outreach efforts regarding the differences and similarities between mahram in Islamic law and the prohibition on intermarriage in Samosir Batak custom. This is important to provide a clear understanding to the community, especially the younger generation so that they can live their religious and traditional lives in harmony

A Comparison of Islamic Capital Market Supervision in Indonesia and Malaysia
This research provides a comparative analysis, namely a comparison of Islamic capital market regulations in Indonesia and Malaysia. This study highlights the role of Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK), which has largely been discussed in the existing literature, but has not had a comprehensive review of the effectiveness of the Islamic Capital Market. This research builds on previous research, emphasizing the role of the OJK in market regulation, This study uses a library research approach combined with a comparative approach to analyze the comparative governance framework and regulatory practices in the two countries. The survey results show that as of April 2019, Indonesia had 629 issuers on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), of which Islamic stocks accounted for 65% of the total shares, while Malaysia had 911 issuers in 2018, and Islamic stocks accounted for 76%. This shows a significant difference in the development and acceptance of the Islamic capital market between the two countries. Furthermore, this study highlights the importance of a coordinated, independent and accountable OJK to improve the effectiveness of sharia compliance in the Indonesian capital market. Overall, both indicate that Shariah supervision and compliance in capital markets in Indonesia and Malaysia have been well implemented, but there is still room for improvement. In addition, there is a strong commitment to improving market integrity and transparency, but challenges in terms of supervision, financial literacy, and fatwa consistency need to be overcome to achieve maximum implementation

Analysis of the Effect of Working Capital, Liquidity, Solvency, and Activity on Profitability in Pharmaceutical Sector Companies Listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange
This study investigates the impact of working capital, liquidity, solvency, and activity on profitability, with a specific focus on pharmaceutical companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2019 to 2023—a sector chosen due to its distinctive financial dynamics, including high research and development expenditures, prolonged product cycles, and heightened relevance in the post-pandemic period. Utilizing a quantitative approach with panel data regression, the study incorporates model selection tests (Chow, Hausman, and Lagrange Multiplier) and classical assumption tests to validate the model, addressing potential issues such as multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation. The analysis is based on secondary data from a defined sample of pharmaceutical firms, with operationalization of variables such as “activity” measured through asset turnover ratios. Findings reveal that while liquidity exerts a significant positive influence on profitability, suggesting the importance of effective cash management and short-term asset optimization, working capital and solvency display negative yet statistically insignificant effects, possibly reflecting the sector's dependence on long-term investments and leveraged capital structures. The study underscores the need for pharmaceutical firms to balance liquidity with strategic allocation of capital in light of industry-specific constraints
Sustainable Beauty in Indonesia: The Role of Attitude in Mediating the Impact of Environmental Knowledge and Perceived Eco-Friendly Quality on Purchase Intention
This study examines the impact of environmental knowledge, green perceived quality, and brand image on purchase intention toward environmentally friendly beauty products, with attitude as a mediating variable. Central Java was selected due to its growing interest in sustainable products and rising environmental awareness, making it a relevant context for green consumer behavior research in Indonesia. Using a quantitative method, data were collected from 185 respondents via an online survey, though self-selection bias may limit generalizability. Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was employed for analysis. Results show that environmental knowledge and brand image significantly influence purchase intention, while green perceived quality affects purchase intention indirectly through attitude, indicating a potential lack of consumer clarity on green product quality. Attitude serves as a key mediator, underscoring the importance of positive consumer perceptions. These findings suggest that effective marketing strategies should focus on environmental education, brand strengthening, and clearer communication of product sustainability to boost consumer confidence and intention to purchase green beauty products
