The Role of Sumba Women Weavers in Family Economic Empowerment: A Case Study of Ikat Weaving Preservation in Sumba, NTT

    Get PDF
This study examines the role of Sumba women weavers in empowering the family economy through the preservation of the ikat weaving culture in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). Using a qualitative approach, this study explores the socio-economic dynamics of weavers' families, women's strategies in managing the ikat weaving business, and its impact on family welfare. The results showed that weaving activities not only functioned as a means of cultural preservation but also became a significant alternative source of income for families. Women weavers play a dual role as custodians of cultural heritage and supporters of the family economy, often making weaving work a 'lifeline' when the family's economic conditions are unstable. However, they still face challenges such as limited access to capital, training, and wider markets. Identified empowerment efforts include improving business management skills, facilitating access to productive resources, and developing marketing networks. This research highlights the importance of integrated support from various stakeholders to optimize the potential of Sumba ikat weaving as an instrument of family economic empowerment while preserving valuable cultural heritage

Understanding Customer Perception of Airline Service Quality and Brand Image: A Pathway to Loyalty and Repurchase Intentions

    Get PDF
This study investigates how customer perceptions of service quality and airline brand image affect customer loyalty and intentions to repurchase. By employing a systematic literature review (SLR) method in line with the PRISMA protocol, the research examines 50 articles indexed in Scopus that pertain to customer perceptions in the airline sector. The results indicate that favorable perceptions of service quality significantly impact brand image, thereby promoting customer loyalty and repurchase intentions. Mediating factors such as "brand love," "passenger loyalty," and "positive word of mouth" are essential in reinforcing these connections. Additionally, the study presents a conceptual framework for airlines to develop more effective strategies aimed at improving customer loyalty. This research not only addresses theoretical gaps but also provides practical insights for enhancing airline service strategies that yield long-term benefits for customer loyalty

The Effect of Capital Intensity, Audit Quality, Thin Capitalization, and Gender Diversity on Tax Aggressiveness

    Get PDF
This study aims to analyze the effects of capital intensity, audit quality, thin capitalization, and gender diversity on tax aggressiveness in state-owned enterprises (SOEs) listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2020 to 2023. This research adopts a quantitative approach with an associative method, and the sample is selected using purposive sampling based on criteria such as SOEs listed on IDX, financial reports expressed in Indonesian Rupiah, and excluding the banking sector. The dependent variable is tax aggressiveness, measured using the Effective Tax Rate (ETR), while the independent variables are capital intensity, audit quality, thin capitalization, and gender diversity. Data analysis is performed using multiple linear regression and classical assumption tests to ensure the validity of the regression model. The findings indicate that capital intensity, audit quality, thin capitalization, and gender diversity significantly affect tax aggressiveness. This research has limitations, such as the restriction to SOEs and a three-year observation period. Future research is suggested to expand the scope by using the IDX-IC classification and extending the study period, as well as considering additional variables such as firm size and ownership structure

This study found that the principal's transformative leadership had a considerable positive direct effect on teacher performance (coefficient 0.208, t-count 1.660, a standard deviation 0.126, p-value 0.045 < 0.05). It demonstrates that transformational principle leadership has a substantial impact on teacher performance. The principal's transformational leadership has a considerable direct and beneficial effect on teachers’ motivation (coefficient 0.675, t-count 12.979, a standard deviation 0.05, p-value 0.000 < 0.05. It indicates a significant effect of transformative leadership on teacher motivation. Next, there was a considerable beneficial direct influence of teachers' motivation on teacher performance (coefficient 0.634, t-count 5.574, a standard deviation 0.114, p-value 0.000 < 0.05). It indicates a statistically significant influence of teacher motivation on performance. Last, motivation can operate as a mediator (coefficient 0.428, standard deviation 0.087, t-count 4.888, p-value 0.000 < 0.05). motivation mediates transformational leadership to teacher performance. So, the school principal was encouraged to have more intellectual stimulation, care, and inspire teachers, as well as other indicators of transformational leadership, to boost teacher motivation and performance

This study aims to analyze the paradigm shift and the direction of the hadith study objectives at Ma'had Aly HasyimAs-sari Jombang used the perspective of Muhammad Abid Al-Jabiriy's Arabic reasoning.  This study used a descriptive curative approach. Technical Data Analysis Using Miles and Huberman Theory with three steps: data collection, data reduction, third data presentation, verification, and data conclusions. Primary and secondary data were used in this study. Secondary data were obtained from secondary sources, such as tabloids, magazines, bulletins, and online opinions, while primary data were obtained from primary sources, such as interviews and observations. This study found that first, the Islamic Boarding School, especially Ma'had Aly Hasyim Asaraiy, in essence has long used irfani and bayani reasoning in the form of hadith studies as a counter to the extreme burhani reasoning of Western civilization as a counterweight. However, lately, Islamic boarding school education with its Ma'had Aly begin to be carried away by the strandarization of such education. Second, Ma'had Aly education has a purpose as a response to global changes in the world of education which requires formality as an authority for recognizing the knowledge of its graduates, but has a big consequence that one day the boarding school will lose its irfanical reasoning characteristics by sinking into extreme burhani reasoning in the national education system implemented by the government

    Get PDF
Mathematical knowledge and computational thinking train students' ability to reason, and this is needed to be able to compete in the digital era in the future. This study aims to construct a mathematical cognitive test instrument using the computational thinking (CT) model that meets the validity, reliability, and good item criteria and provides new insights into how to apply computational thinking in Islamic education (madrasah). This research includes development research consisting of design and implementation stages with a sample of 160 madrasah aliyah students in the Sleman district. Instrument validity was conducted by proving content validity. Reliability was estimated using the separation reliability coefficient, and the quality of the instrument was analyzed using the Rasch model. The instrument was declared reliable (separation reliability coefficient of 0.8059), classified as a good fit for the model, with a p-value of 0.64 > 0.05), and effective in measuring mathematics skills with a percentage of 99.85%. The instrument developed opens the insight that the subject matter in madrasah can be integrated with computational thinking skills and can be used as an alternative for diagnostic, formative, and summative tests
