Investigating Respect in Learning as Character Education: A Review of al-Zarnūjī’s Ta‘līm al-Muta‘allim
Respect has been shown to provide psychological, social, and academic advantages; nevertheless, most academics have not given it enough credit in terms of encouraging students’ character development. Al-Zarnūjī’s idea, a classical Muslim scholar, as a point of reference for his esteemed work on the concept of Ta‘līm al-Muta‘allim has been one of the references in learning and teaching guidelines among pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) in Indonesia. This article aims to critically explore respect as a moral concept and explain how respect can contribute to current discussions in developing character education from the perspective of al-Zarnūjī’s Ta‘līm al-Muta‘allim. A critical analysis of books and journals that were cited was done concerning the contributions made in the field of character education. The study’s findings have led to three major disputes. The first is deference to knowledge as a source of illumination. Secondly, it is deference to the instructor as the foremost exemplar and facilitator of information exchange; and thirdly, it is honoring the colleague as a fellow participant in the educational journey. Respect in all of its dimensions should thus guide the process of teaching and learning
Development of Virtual Field Trip-Based Learning Model as A Strengthening of Madrasah Student Digital Literacy
This article aims to determine how the development, feasibility, effectiveness, and practicality of virtual field trip (VFT)-based learning models strengthen students’ digital literacy. The research was conducted in three Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) areas of South Jakarta, Bogor (West Java), and Kediri (East Java). The trial was conducted for students (sixth-grade students) in each school in one class. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with research and development (R&D) methods, according to Borg & Gall. Research data on the application of the model were obtained through observation, tests, and questionnaires, while data analysis was carried out through average and percent scores. This development research obtained a model design from VFT-based learning steps. Based on the results of the trial revealed that (1) the model met the Feasible criteria shown by the assessment of experts and practitioners with an excellent category; (2) the model met the Effective criteria shown by the average results of strengthening digital literacy with an excellent category, and the average results of positive responses to the implementation of learning with Agree/Happy criteria, as well as the achievement of student learning outcomes from the three trial classes obtained a percentage increase above 5%; (3) the model met the Practical criteria shown by the implementation of learning through VFT and the teacher’s ability to manage the learning with an excellent category. The research results briefly state that the VFT-based learning model developed can reinforce students’ digital literacy

Analyzing the characteristics of millennial employees, work culture, and personal job fit towards lecturer competence. 2. Analyzing millennial employees, work culture, and personal job fit on lecturer performance 3. Analyzing lecturer competency on lecturer performance 4. Analyzing the extent to which the role of lecturer competence mediates the characteristics of millennial employees, work culture, and personal job fit on lecturer performance. This research method uses quantitative research with an explanatory research approach. The number of samples in this study was 105 selected using the census method. To test the hypothesis in this study, structural equation model analysis techniques were used. The results of this research show that the findings show that efforts to increase Employee Engagement through millennial employee characteristics, work culture, and personal job Fit have the potential to make a positive contribution to improving employee performance. The following recommendations are for teachers to increase employee engagement, so teachers need to be focused and stimulated to encourage teachers to be more innovative in their work so they can improve teacher performance and for future researchers to evaluate the variables of this research on different populations and increase the population size
Challenges and Opportunities in Early Childhood Religious and Moral Education: A Perspective from the Evaluation of Logical Models
This study is an evaluation that aims to analyze the development of religious and moral values aspects of early childhood. The method used is a qualitative method, where data are collected through in-depth discussions with a logical model evaluation analysis in early childhood religious and moral values (NAM) development programs. The results of the study found three important things, namely first, so far value-based learning for early childhood is done through understanding religious symbols, daily routine worship practices, and daily prayers, while moral strengthening is done through fairy tales containing good values. Understanding and strengthening religious moral values in early childhood is implemented variably according to the needs of each school. This study also identified some weaknesses in the cultivation of religious and moral values in early childhood, namely routine activities that can obscure children's understanding and children's lack of enthusiasm due to mistakes in approaches that are not adapted to psychological development. Variations in teaching methods that are not appropriate for children's psychology can cause a distorted understanding of religious and moral values to become shallow. A holistic and diverse approach that takes into account the needs and characteristics of each child is needed to ensure that the cultivation of religious and moral values is effective and sustainable
Analysis of Long and Short Vowel Mispronunciations by Arabic Education Students at Makassar State University
Purpose - This study aims to analyze the errors in pronouncing long and short vowels made by second-semester students of the Arabic Language Education Study Program at Makassar State University when reading Arabic texts.
Design/methodology/approach - The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with linguistic error analysis based on Corder's methodology. The data consists of voice recordings of students reading dialogues and texts from the 13th lesson in the al-Mumtaz textbook. Data were collected through documentation and direct observation to ensure a comprehensive identification of errors.
Findings/results – The findings reveal that pronunciation errors occur at various positions within words: 5.71% after the first letter, 71.42% after the second-to-last letter, and 31.42% at the final letter when followed by the next word. Additionally, 48.57% of errors involve mispronouncing long vowels as short vowels, highlighting a significant challenge in reading Arabic texts. The primary causes of these errors include phonetic differences between Arabic and Indonesian, as well as non-linguistic factors such as students’ motivation, attention, and learning environment.
Originality/value - This study recommends strengthening students' confidence in reading through sustained support. The use of interactive activities, educational games, and targeted exercises is suggested to improve understanding of long and short vowels. Furthermore, emphasizing sound recognition prior to reading is considered effective in enhancing students' reading skills.

Influence of Return on Equity (ROE) and Debt Equity Ratio (DER) On Company Value and Share Prices
This study aimed to examine and analyze the effect of Return On Equity (ROE) and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) on firm value and the stock price in Real Estate and Property; through annual financial statements and the company's performance that were listed on the Investment Gallery of Indonesia Stock Exchange, STIESIA. Besides, it aims to examine and analyze the effect of Return On Equity and Debt to Equity Ratio on stock prices either directly or indirectly, through firm value. Since firm value was a mediating variable, it could measure the company's performance that was reflected in stock price. Furthermore, the population was 49 companies that were listed on the Gallery of Indonesia Stock Exchange, STIESIA during 2015-2021. The data collection technique used purposive sampling. In line with that, there were 11 Real Estate and Property companies as the sample. Additionally, the data analysis technique used multiple linear regression with path analysis and causal step, as well as SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions). As a result, it is concluded that ROE and DER have a significant effect on firm value. Likewise, the firm value had a significant effect on the stock price. Both ROE and DER have an insignificant effect on the stock price. While DER could increase the risk for stakeholders. In other words, the higher the DER was, the lower the stock price (undervalued) would be. As a result, the stock won't interest the stakeholders. On the other hand, the firm value may not be the mediating variable of ROE on the stock price. However, the firm value could mediate DER on stock price (full mediation). In conclusion, Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) could encourage the stakeholders to invest their stocks in Real and Property companies

Implementation of Elimination of Heavily Damaged Area Property at the DIY Education and Training Agency. This research aims to determine the implementation of the elimination of heavily damaged BMD at the DIY Education and Training Agency based on Ministry of Home Affairs Regulation No. 19 of 2016. The process for eliminating BMD is based on Permendagri No. 19 of 2016 changed the mechanism when compared to the previous regulation. Based on research results, it shows that the process of eliminating BMD is seriously damaged at the DIY Education and Training Agency, its implementation is still focused on the DIY Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) as the leading sector for BMD management. The main obstacles that become obstacles are the incomplete documentation and the physical obscurity of the goods proposed for disposal. This was caused by several things, namely the grant process in the past which was not accompanied by documentation, inadequate supervision of heavily damaged BMD, inadequate Human Resources (HR), and the absence of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) regarding the removal of BMD
