Get PDF本稿は『劇場版ポケットモンスターミュウツーの逆襲』（湯山邦彦監督、1998年）をアニマル・スタディーズならびにキャラクター論の二つの観点から検討する。『ミュウツーの逆襲』はアニマル・スタディーズにおける問題意識や論点と呼応するテクストであり、他者としてのポケモンは人間と自然との媒介として機能し自発的に人間に服従することで人間の自然の利用を正当化する動物の形象として機能している。さらにアニメ・マンガ研究におけるキャラクター論から考えると、同作におけるアニマル・スタディーズ的問題系が、図像的キャラの複製性という前提のもとで「主権者」としての単一性を上演しようとするものだと解釈できる。人間かポケモンかを問わず図像的キャラがメディア・フランチャイズの中に拡散することで、作品の主題として提起されるポケモンと人間の対等な関係の可能性についての問いが、単にギミックとして使われていることが明らかになる。This paper examines Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back! (dir. Kunihiko Yuyama 1998) from two perspectives: animal studies and character theory. Pokemon fictional creatures in the media franchise function as mediators between humans and nature and as animal figures that endorse the use of nature by humans by voluntarily subordinating to humans in the film that corresponds to issues and debates in animal studies. From the perspective of character theory in anime and manga studies the issues related to animal studies in the film can be interpreted as an impossible act of staging a "sovereign" subject under the premise of the iconographic kyara (character) replicability. This paper revealed that the proliferation of iconographic kyara whether human or Pokemon makes the question of the possi bility of an equal relationship between Pokemon and humans merely a gimmick that is repeated in the media franchise.departmental bulletin pape
<Research Notes>Characteristics and Challenges of Japanese Youth Generation’s Participation in Climate Change Deliberations: The Ice Tradition Omiwatari as a Case Study
Get PDF本稿は日本の気候変動の熟議への若者世代の参加の課題を究明する。このために、長野県諏訪地域の氷の文化「御神渡り」の気候変動対策を題材に、高校生とシニア世代のフォーカスグループによる熟議フォーラムを実施した。ここでは、異世代との議論での若者世代の発言回数と参加態度、議論の経験に対する満足度に着目した。この結果、女子高校生の発言回数が顕著に少なかった。また、高校生は比較的受動的な参加だったが、シニア大学生からの情報提供に驚きや恐れの感情を抱いた。また、議論の経験に比較的満足していることが示された。This study investigates the challenges of engaging the youth generation in climate change deliberations in Japan. A deliberation forum with focus groups of high school students and senior citizens was conducted on the topic of the climate change countermeasures in the ice tradition called omiwatari in Suwa Nagano Prefecture. The research focused on the frequency of youth engagement their attitude toward participation and their satisfaction with the discussion Results indicated notably lower participation among female high school students.
