Architecture of IT-enabled Capabilities and Multidimensional DataAnalysis Methods: The Role of Cooperative Capabilities in local Markets
International audienceWhat components constitute IT-enabled dynamic capabilities that drive a firm’s activities? How do firms adapt their IT-enabled dynamic capabilities to accommodate turbulent and deglobalizing environments? To answer these questions, this study empirically investigates the relationship between IT-enabled dynamic capabilities and cooperative capabilities in enhancing market performance. The paper scrutinizes the roles of dynamic and collaborative capabilities, as well as information systems (IS), in organizations and how these factors relate to firm activities. Following a literature review, hypotheses are formulated and tested using survey data from 1,448 firms. The study’s implications are then discussed. As firms operate in increasingly complex environments, it is imperative to understand how internal capabilities can be arranged to maximize performance. In the theoretical literature, dynamic capabilities are recognized as activity drivers, especially in the effective use of IS. However, this is often done without accounting for organizational diversity. In this paper, we adopt the IT-enabled dynamic capabilities view. Our contributions are twofold: Firstly, we reveal heterogeneity among companies, contrasting local firms with strong collaborative capabilities against internationally influential companies that exhibit a high level of dynamic capabilities. Secondly, we demonstrate that local firms build performance not by relying on IS, but rather through mobilizing collaborative capabilities. Multidimensional data analysis methods are used to develop a typology of companies based on their performance. Four performance profiles are proposed and then elucidated using a discriminant model with dynamic capabilities, IS, and collaborative capabilities as explanatory variables

Vaison-la-Romaine : premier état des lieux et nouvelles données sur le secteur des thermes du Nord durant l’Antiquité tardive
International audienceResearch carried out at Vaison-la-Romaine in the area around the cathedral and, more recently, in the forum, led to an initial examination of urban topography and the transformation of the ancient monumental heritage, against a backdrop of the Christianisation of the landscape. These data revealed a city that appeared to have shrunk to the river’s edge, between the old monumental centre and the cathedral, with the monuments appearing to polarise occupation. The study of a nucleus of occupation identified in the 1990s to the north of the town, in the continuation of the Northern Baths, allows us to take a fresh look at urban dynamics during Late Antiquity, nuancing them to the point of questioning the hypothesis/perspective of a polynuclear town. The excavation that took place in 2022 in the Northern Baths area provided an opportunity to reflect on the future of the margins of the town of Vaison-la-Romaine during this period: the remains unearthed and those identified in previous years suggest that occupation remained dynamic during the 4th-7th centuries AD. The kind of buildings erected at the time is unclear, and the evidence gathered points to domestic, craft and agricultural activities. Examination of the evolution of the road network to the north and west of the Northern Baths also shows that the streets were maintained in the same locations throughout Antiquity, albeit varying in width. These results shed further light on late antique Vaison.
Do I Eat Healthy, Consciously, and Sustainably? A Preliminary Study on Food-Centric Relationships
International audienceThis preliminary study investigates the relationship between cooking skills ‘CS’ (ability to prepare food), food skills ‘FS’ (educational level about food and nutrition), sociodemographic factors (age, gender, height, weight, physical activity levels, and predefined diets), psychological behaviour (how mood states influence food intake), interest in a healthy sustainable lifestyle, and other food-centric factors. Using self-reported data from a total of 126 participants from 2 distinct surveys, the results mainly show a positive correlation between food-related scores like CS and FS, and differences in external factors (eg, social environment) that influence eating habits. While some relationships between self-reported behaviour and actual nutrition are limited due to the studies design and scope, the findings highlight the critical role of CS and FS in promoting sustainable eating habits, weight management, and cooking skills. The study emphasises the need for further research and the development of educational strategies to improve dietary behaviour and overall well-being. Another contribution is the publication of all developed tools and apps for free use to promote future research
Thermal percepts are multifactorial: a cross analysis of thermal monitoring data and qualitative surveys on elderly women in a French metropolis during heatwaves
International audiencePopulations are more exposed to heat as heatwaves become more frequent, more severe and longer. Urban areas are particularly vulnerable to heat, given urban density, microclimates and the concentration of aged population. Since thermal percepts determine behaviours and adaptive capacities, understanding percepts appears key for assessing heat vulnerability and adapting prevention strategies. However, thermal percepts involves more than just thermal sensation. They encompass the processing and cognitive integration of all sensory stimuli that allow individuals to evaluate their thermal environment. Hence, the present contribution discusses the relationship between climatic parameters and thermal percepts, and highlights the factors influencing them. This work focuses on elderly women, which are particularly vulnerable to heat.A field survey was carried out during the summer of 2023. The interdisciplinary survey included a thermal monitoring of dwellings, daily follow-up through diaries, and several semi-structured interviews with six women over 70 years old. On this basis, Spearman correlation coefficients were calculated between daily thermal percepts marks and the dwellings temperature and humidity, as well as with weather data from a peri-urban weather station, aggregated daily (mean, maximum, and minimum values). Correlations were then analysed in light of the recorded detailed interviews. Results highlight no single correlation between thermal percepts and climatic parameters. Rather, significant differences are observed between individuals and between overheating periods. In relation to semi-structured interviews, these differences can be particularly explained by the perceived vulnerability and experienced physical symptoms. Various other factors were also highlighted as impacting on thermal percepts: time of day, sensory experiences of the place, activities performed, mental representations, expectations and overall well-being. Therefore, the multisensory and multifactorial nature of thermal percepts should be considered when assessing individuals' vulnerability to heat and designing prevention strategies
