    There are presented the historical and modern aspects of civic-ethical education in Mexican technical middle schools through a documentary-bibliographic study. It was found out, that the historical development of civic-ethical education in Mexico has a long account, beginning in the 16th century at the time of the conquest when it depended on religious education and catechism, going through the periods of Enlightenment and liberalism in New Spain when it became a compulsory subject in the educational system, and consolidating in the 20th century. Th e main objective of the modern civic-ethical education as a part of the community-oriented training in Mexican technical middle (secondary) schools, is the promotion of activities through which adolescents, in different areas of training (school, family, community, etc.), learn to become able and responsible citizens and to assume a set of attitudes to function as such.Przedstawiono historyczne i współczesne aspekty edukacji obywatelsko-etycznej w meksykańskich szkołach technicznych poprzez studium dokumentalno-bibliograficzne. Odkryto, że historyczny rozwój edukacji obywatelsko-etycznej w Meksyku ma długą historię, począwszy od XVI wieku w czasach podboju, kiedy opierała się na edukacji religijnej i katechizacji, przechodząc przez okresy oświecenia i liberalizmu w Nowej Hiszpanii, kiedy stała się obowiązkowym przedmiotem w systemie edukacyjnym i konsolidując się w XX wieku.     Methodological directives of analytic theology in light of the postulates of the Cracow Circle

    Analytic theology is a theology in which the methods of analytic philosophy are employed. A similar description is used to refer to another contemporary analytic trend, namely analytical Thomism. Analytic theology is characterized by methodological directives regarding language and ways of justifying propositions. A natural question is to what extent this new solution in theology is really new if we take into account, for instance, the program of the Cracow Circle, whose members were active in the 1930s. That program was also methodological in nature and concerned the theology and philosophy of God. In this paper, we wish to determine the relationship between the postulates of the Cracow Circle and the methodological directives of analytic theology. Thanks to this, the members of the Circle can be perceived as its precursors as well as indirectly of analytical Thomism

    The Role of Omega-3 Fatty Acids in Cognitive Health: From Development to Aging and Neurodegenerative Protection

    Introduction and Purpose Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), particularly docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), are essential for brain structure and function across all life stages. DHA supports synaptic plasticity, neurogenesis, and neurotransmission, while EPA modulates inflammation and cerebral blood flow. This review evaluates the impact of Omega-3 PUFAs on cognitive development, maintenance, and neuroprotection, synthesizing findings from clinical trials, observational studies, and meta-analyses.   Materials and Methods A systematic review of randomized controlled trials, cohort studies, and meta-analyses was conducted. Studies on maternal Omega-3 intake and infant cognition, adult supplementation and cognitive function, and Omega-3s in aging and neurodegeneration were included. Biomarkers such as plasma DHA/EPA levels, cognitive function tests, and neuroimaging data were analyzed. Safety and tolerability were also assessed.   ResultsMaternal DHA intake supports infant cognitive development, particularly in problem-solving and language skills, though findings vary. In adulthood, Omega-3s contribute to memory, executive function, and mood regulation, but evidence remains mixed. Higher intake is linked to slower cognitive decline and lower dementia risk, primarily via neuroinflammation reduction. Omega-3s show promise in early cognitive decline by reducing oxidative stress and β-amyloid accumulation, but their role in advanced Alzheimer’s remains unclear. Supplementation is safe, with minor side effects at high doses. ConclusionOmega-3s support cognitive function and neuroprotection, particularly in early-life development and aging. Their strongest role is in reducing neuroinflammation and slowing cognitive decline. However, benefits in healthy adults and late-stage dementia remain inconclusive. Future research should explore personalized nutrition, optimal dosage, and genetic interactionsc

Unfortunately, as they are diagnosed more frequently, the health problems that result from the appearance of such lesions are becoming more and more common. Fortunately, there are a number of treatments for bone metastases that improve quality of life and prolong patient survival. These include classic methods, such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgical approaches, but doctors can also offer an increasing number of modern treatments, such as minimally invasive surgical methods and drugs that target bone directly.     Introduction: Creatine is a naturally occurring compound that plays a primary role in energy metabolism, particularly within muscle cells. Its main sites of synthesis include the liver, kidneys, and pancreas [1,2]. This compound is crucial for muscle recovery following exercise. Creatine's ability to rapidly replenish ATP stores reduces fatigue and muscle soreness, thereby accelerating the recovery process. By increasing the availability of phosphocreatine in muscle cells, creatine significantly enhances the capacity to perform both short-duration and high-intensity exercises [4,8]. This allows athletes to complete more repetitions per set and recover faster between sets. Consequently, creatine supplementation has gained increasing popularity, particularly among athletes and physically active individuals. Additionally, creatine's influence on muscle protein synthesis is also linked to its ability to improve muscle cell hydration [15]. Aim of the Study: The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of creatine supplementation on physical performance and muscle recovery, as well as to review its efficacy, safety, and potential side effects. Material and Methods: A review and analysis of randomized clinical trials and clinical studies from 2010 to 2025 available in PubMed and Google Scholar. Conclusions: Research findings indicate that long-term creatine use does not cause significant adverse side effects. Individuals supplementing with creatine have shown an increase in lean body mass without any undesirable effects on liver and kidney function. By improving muscle strength and endurance, creatine helps stabilize joints, thereby reducing the risk of musculoskeletal injuries [13]. From a practical perspective, these findings provide valuable insights for athletes, coaches, and physically active individuals striving to enhance both short-term and long-term training outcomes through creatine supplementation

    Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a chronic inflammatory joint disease presenting a heterogeneous clinical picture. It is characterized by both skin and joint symptoms, which significantly affects the quality of life of patients. In recent years, there have been rapid developments in the treatment of SD. Modern treatments include the use of classic disease-modifying drugs, as well as biologic drugs and ianus kinase inhibitors. An important component of treatment that is often underestimated is physical activity. Regular exercise has a proven effect on improving joint function, reducing pain and improving overall physical condition in patients with SD. Physical activity can help reduce the severity of disease symptoms, improve joint range of motion, and increase cardiovascular fitness. The purpose of this article is to present modern therapies for SD, taking into account the role of physical activity in the comprehensive treatment of this disease. Both pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapeutic approaches will be discussed

    Periodontal Diseases as a Risk Factor for Severe Course and Mortality in COVID-19 – An Interdisciplinary Analysis in Light of Available Studies

    Introduction: COVID-19 can progress to life-threatening illness in some patients, and identifying modifiable risk factors for severe outcomes is crucial. Periodontal diseases cause systemic inflammation and share risk factors with conditions linked to worse COVID-19 outcomes [7]. Recent studies worldwide have suggested that periodontitis may independently aggravate COVID-19 severity [5]. This interdisciplinary analysis aims to examine current evidence on whether periodontal disease is a risk factor for severe COVID-19 progression and mortality. Materials and methods: A literature review was conducted using the databases such as Pubmed and Google Scholar. Summary of Current Knowledge: An emerging body of global research indicates a significant association between poor periodontal health and adverse COVID-19 outcomes. Multiple studies report that COVID-19 patients with periodontitis experience higher rates of severe complications, including need for intensive care, mechanical ventilation, and death [1, 2].  Conclusion: Current evidence suggests periodontal disease is a plausible and potentially modifiable risk factor for severe COVID-19. Interdisciplinary efforts in dentistry and medicine are warranted to further clarify this relationship and to integrate oral health into risk assessment and management of systemic diseases like COVID-19

    Negative Pressure Wound Therapy in Surgical Wound Management: Mechanisms, Clinical Outcomes, and Comparative Analysis of Modern NPWT Systems

    Introduction: Surgical wounds that fail to heal or that develop complications such as infection or dehiscence are challenging problem that health care has to deal with everyday. Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) has emerged as an important tool for managing complex wounds. This review aims to summarize the mechanisms by which NPWT supports wound healing, estimate the clinical efficacy of NPWT in surgical wounds and compare available NPWT systems. Materials and methods: A literature review was conducted using the databases such as Pubmed and Google Scholar. State of Knowledge: NPWT involves a sealed dressing attached to a suction pump that applies subatmospheric pressure to the wound. There are four major mechanisms that lead straight to the effect: microdeformation [14]; macrodeformation [13], fluid removal [15]; stabilization of wound environment [11]. Clinically, NPWT has demonstrated improved healing rates in chronic wounds (e.g., diabetic foot ulcers) [5, 6] and decreased surgical site infection and seroma in high-risk surgical incisions [7, 8]. Conclusions: NPWT upgrades healing by stabilizing environment of wound, enhancing granulation and closing wound faster. Evidence confirms its efficacy in reducing wound complications in both open and closed surgical wounds. NPWT has become an invaluable tool in surgical wound management, however it is still important to use it in selected group of patients

    Hair Loss: Pathogenesis and Prevention: A Literature Review

    Introduction and purpose: Hair loss, clinically referred to as alopecia, represents a significant dermatological challenge that impacts millions of people worldwide. This disorder can lead to significant psychosocial distress, affecting self-esteem and quality of life across different age groups and genders. Its multifactorial etiology involves genetic predispositions, hormonal imbalances, immune-mediated mechanisms, and environmental influences. This literature review focuses on the latest reports on the pathogenesis of hair loss and summarizes current strategies for its prevention. State of knowledge:  Hair loss occurs when the normal hair growth cycle is disrupted, leading to premature shedding. Genetic predisposition, especially in androgenetic alopecia, increases follicle sensitivity to hormonal changes. Androgens shorten the growth phase and thin hair, while estrogen decline in women can worsen hair loss. Other hormones such as growth hormone, prolactin, melatonin, cortisol, and thyroid hormones also play key roles in hair maintenance. Stress elevates cortisol, which can push hair into its resting phase earlier than normal. Immune responses in conditions like alopecia areata result in the body attacking its own hair follicles. Environmental pollutants and nutritional deficiencies further compromise hair structure. Preventive measures- such as balanced nutrition, stress management, and topical treatments- can help maintain healthier hair.   Conclusion: By deepening our understanding of the pathogenesis of hair loss, we can enhance our ability to diagnose the condition and identify its underlying causes. Given the diverse etiologies, each patient should be evaluated individually, with treatment tailored to the specific findings of their examination
