Finansowanie edukacji ekologicznej – zagadnienia administracyjnoprawne
The financing of environmental education is an important sphere of state activity in terms of raising the state of public environmental awareness. The inclusion of environmental education in public funding confirms the thesis that it is a public task. Institutionally, this financing is based on the structures of environmental protection and water management funds, the purpose of which is to guarantee the distribution of funds, obtained, inter alia, in connection with payment for the use of environmental resources, for investments and other undertakings in the field of environmental protection. In addition to the environmental protection funds, tasks in the field of environmental protection financing, including, inter alia, environmental education, fall within the scope of activity of communes and districts, as units of local self-government, and also, under separate regulations, include other public administration entities.

Experiencing studying in a phenomenographic analysis of the utterances of young adults from Z-Generation
The aim of this article is to present the results of an analysis of indepth phenomenographic interviews conducted with young adults studying the humanities and social sciences in the Polish higher education system. The authors conducted twenty interviews in 2022 and 2023 with individuals who represented the next generation of university students in their families, focusing on their experiences of studying. The authors conceptualise these experiences from the perspective of representatives of Generation Z in the following ways: (a) as a transition to the next stage in the formal education system, leading to the acquisition of higher qualifications; (b) as a learning process for acquiring and deepening knowledge; (c) as a life stage characterised by the absence of parental care; (d) as the assumption of the student role associated with belonging to an institution such as a university; and (e) as building relationships within and outside university. The authors interpret the identified categories of description as follows: as a consequence of the popularisation of the educational process and its normalisation in everyday life; as a result of students’ intrinsic motivation, derived from cultural capital and aligned with the perception of knowledge acquisition as a developmental process; as an outcome of limited opportunities to practice social competencies in earlier stages of schooling; and as an effect of rapid civilisaCelem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie wyników analizy pogłębionych wywiadów fenomenograficznych przeprowadzonych wśród młodych dorosłych studiujących w polskim systemie edukacyjnym na wyższych uczelniach humanistykę i nauki społeczne.
Adults in the spaces of life. Balancing personal commitments and social role challenges
This paper highlights the interconnected interpretations of adult learning, assuming that the scope of the deliberations encompasses broadly understood adult developmental activity. Individuals who engage in such activity, while seeking self-realisation on one hand, strive to meet specific commitments, primarily in the personal sphere. On the other hand, they face the challenge of adopting various social roles. The performance and actualisation of these roles are only possible in public spaces and often require demonstrating new, or at least different, educational activity than that previously practisedW tekście zwrócono uwagę na przenikające się ujęcia interpretacyjne uczenia się w dorosłości, przyjmując, że płaszczyzną prowadzonych rozważań będzie szeroko rozumiana aktywność rozwojowa dorosłego. Podejmujący ją podmiot, z jednej strony realizując siebie, stara się wypełniać określone zobowiązania jednostkowe, przynależne najczęściej sferze osobowej, a z drugiej strony staje on przed wyzwaniem podjęcia różnych ról społecznych, których pełnienie i aktualizacja są możliwe jedynie w przestrzeni publicznej i wymagają wykazania się często nową, a przynajmniej odmienną od dotychczas praktykowanej, aktywnością edukacyjną
Konflikt w cyberprzestrzeni na przykładzie wojny w Ukrainie. Studium aktywności z lat 2022–2023
Contemporary international conflicts are marked by their dynamic nature and diversity, which makes it challenging to categorise them, particularly regarding warfare and cyber operations that fall below the threshold of armed conflict. This article examines the conflict in cyberspace during the war in Ukraine, highlighting how cyber operations support kinetic actions and disinformation campaigns.
In 1931, the von Hochberg family, one of the wealthiest aristocratic families in Europe, filed a discrimination complaint against the Polish government at the League of Nations. At the heart of their petition was the accusation that tax authorities unfairly calculated monies owed in a bid to take over and ‘Polonise’ the von Hochberg-owned businesses, collectively called ‘the Pless administration’. However, these ventures operated both in Poland and in Germany. The Pless administration became a multinational enterprise under postwar border settlements and new convoluted domestic and international legal environments. This article shows that the Polish government, far from trying to force a takeover, was trying hard to keep the von Hochberg businesses functioning and productive during the depths of the Great Depression. Polish government officials understood the economic value of supporting the Pless administration and ensuring that von Hochberg would continue to pay his thousands of employees. This tax evasion scandal reveals a new understanding of interwar Poland’s complex relationship to foreign capital investment and – in a broader contribution to business history – adds a revealing corrective to the history of international tax governance. Moreover, I argue that multinational enterprises – because of their fractured nature – possess advantages over the states that attempt to benefit from their commercial activities.W 1931 r. rodzina Hochbergów, jedna z najbogatszych rodzin arystokratycznych w Europie, złożyła do Ligi Narodów skargę na rząd polski, zarzucając, że polskie urzędy skarbowe nieuczciwie naliczają należne pieniądze w celu przejęcia i „polonizacji” należących do Hochbergów przedsiębiorstw, znanych pod wspólną nazwą „administracji Pless”.
Interactions between NSAIDs and Alcohol in the Context of Clinical Practice – A Review of Studies
Introduction: Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are widely used pharmacological agents with potent anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic properties. Due to their broad application and availability, both prescription and over-the-counter, NSAIDs are highly popular across various age groups. Millions of people worldwide use these medications daily, making them one of the most commonly utilized drugs.
On the other hand, ethanol, one of the most widely consumed psychoactive substances, is widely ingested globally. Both alcohol and NSAIDs undergo complex pharmacokinetic processes, including absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination. The co-existence of these substances in the body can lead to significant interactions that affect the efficacy of therapy and increase the risk of adverse effects.
The objective of this study is to review the literature concerning interactions between NSAIDs and alcohol, with a particular emphasis on the impact of these interactions on usage practices and health outcomes. The study discusses the mechanisms of action of both substances, their effects on the gastrointestinal system, liver, and other organs, as well as the potential risks associated with their concurrent use.
Aim of study: The aim of this study is to summarize the available knowledge about how alcohol influence on metabolism of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in human. Particular emphasis has been placed on its impact on the gastrointestinal, renal, and cardiovascular systems, which have been thoroughly analyzed and summarized.
Material and methods: The literature available in PubMed, and the Google Scholar database was reviewed using the following keywords: ,,non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs”, ,,alcohol”, ,,COX-1”, ,,COX-2
Infectious skin diseases in contact sports - a literature review
Introduction: Infectious skin diseases in athletes, particularly occur in contact sports like wrestling, football, and rugby and are caused by a variety of pathogens, including: bacteria, viruses, and fungi. These infections are common due to direct skin-to-skin contact and can lead to missed training and insufficient physical outcomes in competitions. The most frequent pathogens are methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Trichophyton, and Herpes simplex virus. Skin infections often affect areas like the head, face, and arms and can be transmitted through contaminated equipment or direct contact. Prevention involves good hygiene, early detection, and proper disinfection of sports equipment. Effective management and isolation of infected athletes are key to reducing transmission.
Purpose of the work: The aim of this review is to discuss common skin infections in contact sports, their prevalence, clinical features, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention strategies, categorized into bacterial, viral, and fungal infections.
Materials and methods: A comprehensive analysis of research articles available on PubMed, Google Scholar, Web of Science, Embase, and Scopus was conducted using search terms related to: "contact sports," "skin infections," "infective skin diseases," "athletes" and "prevention."
Results: Infectious skin diseases pose significant risks to athletes in contact sports due to close physical interaction, shared equipment, and skin injuries. Effective prevention requires strict hygiene, prompt wound care, and education on avoiding shared items. Awareness among coaches and athletes is crucial, as proper hygiene practices can reduce outbreaks. More research is needed to better understand transmission and to improve prevention strategies in contact sports
The Effects of Hormonal Contraception on Physical Performance and Health of Female Athletes: A Systematic Review
Introduction
Physical performance and health of female athletes are influenced by physiological changes from the menstrual cycle and hormonal contraception (HC). Hormonal fluctuations can affect muscle strength, endurance, regeneration, and psychological well-being, impacting sports results. HC prevents pregnancy, regulates menstrual cycles and alleviates premenstrual syndrome symptoms. However, it can also cause side effects such as nausea, headaches, weight gain, and mood swings.
Aim of the study
The aim of the study was to analyze the effects of hormonal contraception on the physical performance and health of female athletes.
Materials and methodsThe article was created based on the PubMed and Cochrane databases. The literature was analyzed using following keywords: hormonal contraception, menstrual cycle, athletes, sex hormones, physical performance
Results
HC stabilizes hormone levels, potentially reducing performance fluctuations associated with the menstrual cycle. Some studies indicate a slight reduction in aerobic capacity and muscle strength in women using HC, compared to those with a natural cycle. In addition, HC has a positive effect on regeneration after intense training and reducing the risk of overtraining. Athletes reported better sleep quality and fewer cycle-related symptoms, allowing them to train more regularly. What is more, some research highlights estrogen’s anti-inflammatory effect, which supports muscle repair.
Conclusion
The use of HC use appears to have a minor impact on physical performance, especially among team athletes. However, subjective benefits may improve training comfort. Further research is needed to explore HC’s effects across various sports disciplines
