The Ultrasound-Based Diagnosis of Sudden Scrotal Enlargement in an Infant: A Case Report
Scrotal enlargement in infants has a variety of causes, ranging from benign conditions like hydrocele to more serious issues such as scrotal hernias or testicular tumors. We present the case of a 3-month-old infant with progressive right-sided scrotal swelling, diagnosed with a scrotal hernia through an urgent ultrasound examination. The ultrasound revealed intestinal loops within the scrotum, confirming the diagnosis and ruling out complications such as incarceration. This case underscores the pivotal role of ultrasonography as a first-line, non-invasive diagnostic tool for scrotal conditions in infants, facilitating timely surgical intervention and preventing long-term complications
Cubital Tunnel Syndrome - Modern Treatment Options
Introduction: Cubital Tunnel Syndrome (CuTS) is the second most prevalent compression neuropathy affecting the upper extremity. Patients typically present with symptoms of paresthesia in the fourth and fifth digits, accompanied by hand weakness and pain. Most patients respond well to conservative treatments, but some of them require surgical intervention.
Aim of the study: The aim of this study is to assess and compare both surgical and conservative treatment methods. Conservative treatment for CuTS is typically pursued before surgical intervention, but there are no universally agreed-upon diagnostic and treatment algorithms for the condition.
State of knowledge: Symptoms of Cubital Tunnel Syndrome manifest in approximately 5% of the general population. Etiological factors include repetitive pressure, stretching, flexion, or trauma to the elbow joint. If not appropriately managed, advanced stages of the disease may lead to irreversible muscle atrophy and hand contractures.
Summary: Early diagnosis and intervention are the key factors in managing Cubital Tunnel Syndrome. The condition is frequently underdiagnosed, primarily due to patients' reluctance to seek treatment for their symptoms. No studies have definitively proven that one treatment approach is more effective than another. The choice of treatment should be based on the severity of the condition and the individual needs of the patient
Effects of hydrolyzed collagen supplementation for Skin Anti-Aging
In an era of an aging population with the rise of social media, both men and women are paying more and more attention to the healthy appearance of their skin and overall health.
Collagen is an essential component of the structure of the skin. With age, the amount of collagen in the skin decreases, there is a loss of elasticity as a result, wrinkles form and the appearance of the skin deteriorates. On the market there are more and more preparations both in the form of creams and means for oral application. One of the most popular dietary supplements that affect the quality of the skin and with tested bioavailability is hydrolyzed collagen .
One can find many studies showing the positive effects of collagen supplementation on improving the quality and alleviating the visible signs of skin aging. In this review paper, we aim to evaluate the current state of knowledge of the effectiveness of hydrolyzed collagen supplementation on skin quality status. In order to investigate the efficacy and effects of hydrolyzed collagen for the skin, we need both preclinical studies, availability assessments and controlled clinical trials on a wide range of patients.
Overall, it can be concluded that as little as 12 weeks of hydrolyzed fish collagen supplementation improves the quality and appearance of skin in the aging population.Importantly, HC-containing formulations were found to be safe and well-tolerated. However, further large-scale randomized controlled studies taking into account factors such as excipients in the supplements, age range and general lifestyle of the subjects are needed to confirm these results
How breastfeeding affects immunity?
Introduction and objective
A person's health is influenced by various factors, one of which is diet, which can be altered to provide many needed ingredients. The early years of life are crucial for building immunity, starting with breast milk as the primary food.
Breastfeeding offers unique benefits, including providing maternal antibodies, immunoglobulins and growth factors that lower the risk of many diseases. In the work presented here, we focus mainly on the components of maternal milk and the benefits of providing them.
Review methods
PubMed/MEDLINE databases were searched using the entry criteria “full text” and the exclusion criteria “systematic reviews,” “meta-analyses” and “review articles.” The phrases “breastfeeding,” “immunity” and “breast milk composition” were included. In the end, 40 publications were left out.
Abbreviated description of the state of knowledge
This study describes the main components of breast milk that build a baby's immunity. The mechanisms of action of these components are key to understanding how food can affect long-term human health and immunity, especially that provided in the first days of life.
Summary
Breastfeeding affects the development and functioning of the baby's operating system. Due to the special composition of breast milk, breastfed children protect against infections and support for additional health. Mechanisms that cause side effects that cause effects not only in the aftermath of life, but also in the aftermath of health in the aftermath of life

Review of Current First-Line Pharmacotherapy Strategies for Thyroid Eye Disease
Thyroid eye disease (TED) is a challenging autoimmune disorder that often requires therapeutic intervention. Glucocorticoids (GCs), particularly in intravenous (IV) regimens, remain the first-line treatment due to their strong anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects. This paper focuses on the efficacy, protocols, and safety profiles of selenium supplementation and glucocorticoid therapy, emphasizing its central role in TED management. Alternative therapies, such as teprotumumab, rituximab, and tocilizumab, are briefly discussed as potential options for patients with moderate-to-severe TED, who are unresponsive or intolerant to glucocorticoids. Adherence to recommended dosing protocols and careful monitoring of adverse effects are essential to optimize treatment outcomes
Burnout among Physicians: Prevalence, Contributing Factors and Solutions: A Review of Literature
The state of burnout is a nuanced condition primarily connected to enduring occupational stress, defined by emotional drain, disconnection from others, and a lesser feeling of personal competence. Identified by the World Health Organization as a critical concern within workplace, burnout is particularly widespread among healthcare professionals, attributed to rigorous workloads, bureaucratic obstacles, and inadequate support systems. This paper examines the underlying factors contributing to burnout- occupational, institutional, and individual aspects, and highlights the consequences for both healthcare providers and patient care. The analysis suggests that burnout adversely impacts both the psychological and physical health of medical workers and reduces the quality of patient care, consequently heightening systemic inefficiencies in the healthcare system. Furthermore, this research intends to delve into various individual, organizational, and systemic methods crafted to mitigate burnout, stressing the need for integrated interventions that cultivate resilience and advance well-being for healthcare practitioners. By examining the intricate aspects of burnout, this study aspires to impact policy and practice, consequently improving the standard of care and cultivating a healthier work environment in medical sector
