Zwięzłość uzasadnienia wyroku wojewódzkiego sądu administracyjnego
The aim of the article is to present the issue of conciseness of the justification of the judgment of the provincial administrative court. The author's remarks focus on the meaning of the very notion of brevity of the statement of reasons for a judgment, the scope of application of this requirement, and the consequences of its violation. In the author's opinion, the requirement of brevity does not have an unambiguous content and can be understood in two ways: as an obligation to include in the content of the justification only such elements that rationalize the judgment issued, and as a prohibition to formulate legal arguments and assessments in an unnecessarily long-winded manner. In the author's opinion, the requirement of brevity does not refer to all the elements of the justification required by law, and its violation – as a rule – does not affect the content of the judgment ruling.

INFLUENCE OF CEO CHARACTERISTICS ON INTERNATIONALISATION OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY PARKS: EVIDENCE FROM POLAND
Purpose: Evaluation of the influence of some characteristics describing chief executive officers who manage science and technology parks in Poland on internationalisation of these units.
Methodology/approach: The study was carried out in 2022 among 18 from 33 of all science and technology parks (STP) in Poland using a survey method and original questionnaire. In order to examine the internal consistency of the variables describing the factors involved in the internationalisation, the Cronbach’s Alpha reliability coefficient was calculated. The value of this coefficient was α=0.829; the factors selected for the analysis were than consistent. The τ Kendall’s test was employed to determine the strength and direction of relationships between: benefits versus the internationalisation index values, obstacles versus the internationalisation index values, characteristics of the park managers and the internationalisation index values.
Findings: The study failed to demonstrate a statistically significant relationship between the assessment of benefits and the value of the internationalisation index, but the parks’ managers mainly pointed to the high and very high importance of several benefits. Among the obstacles, shortage of own funds to start/continue activities is of the highest importance. The analysis confirmed a statistically significant dependence between the evaluation of obstacles by managers and the value of the internationalisation index for: lack of external funds to undertake and continue activities in this area, shortage of own funds that could be allocated to such activities, and the lack of knowledge of regulations governing business activities abroad. The study verified a statistically significant relationship between the level of internationalisation and some personal characteristics of the people who manage these parks (age, education, experience working).
Originality/value: Considering the importance and complexity of internationalisation suggests that STPs should be offered encouragement and support in this process. Of particular importance is the help to diagnose the formal and legal background of internationalisation efforts. Managers often acquire knowledge about the actual conditions underlying internationalisation only after the process has been launched
Gender, Emotions, and Their Manifestations in the Annales by Jan Długosz
The article examines the intersection of gender and the manifestation of emotions in Jan Długosz’s late medieval historical work, Annales seu cronicae incliti Regni Poloniae. The text explores how similarities and differences between genders are portrayed in Długosz’s narrative across three key aspects. The first aspect is the depiction of grief. On the one hand, collective emotions associated with the death of a monarch played a significant role in the social life of the Kingdom of Poland. On the other hand, mourning the deaths of other individuals is often represented as a deeply personal and tragic experience, primarily experienced by women. Secondly, the significance of emotions in parenthood and marriage demonstrates that they were more important to women and closely tied to their social position. While emotions could also be important for men, their understanding of fatherhood was broader than that of motherhood. This allowed men to express parental emotions toward their subjects or followers, but they rarely directed those feelings toward their own children. In the third part, the text examines the expressions of emotions related to governance. Despite the long tradition of ira regis, which welcomed the king’s anger, Długosz treated this emotion as marginal when it came to the role in governing and much more favoured in weeping. Anger was even less significant within the repertoire of women’s emotions, and it seemed that Długosz rarely imagined them as capable of manifesting this emotion. Ultimately, the article argues that emotions were primarily associated with the social roles of men and women, and the differences in emotionality were not perceived as part of a fundamental gender distinction
Compassionate and Dreaming: On the Emotional Com-unity of the First German Women Students
This article explores the concept of an emotional community among the first German women students around the turn of the twentieth century, analysing both journalistic and literary texts. Moving beyond terminological disputes surrounding ‘emotions’ and ‘affects’, it adopts Sara Ahmed’s inclusive approach, where affect is seen as integral to emotion. The study draws on Barbara Rosenwein’s definition of emotional communities as groups sharing common interests, values, and goals, often reinforced by texts. Through an analysis of excerpts from Ilse Frapan’s novels, Wir Frauen haben kein Vaterland and Die Arbeit, and articles from women’s magazines Die Studentin and Frauen-Rundschau, the paper investigates how specific emotions – namely compassion and a mix of pride and impostor syndrome – were expressed, cultivated, but also suppressed within this nascent community. It argues that these texts not only reflected but actively shaped the emotional landscape of early women students, highlighting the crucial role of literature in fostering a sense of shared experience and identity
Introduction: Local Communities in Austria-Hungary and Beyond
The topic proposed for this issue of Acta Poloniae Historica revolves around local elites during the modern period. While urban centres of elites were most prominent at that time, the theme is not confined to them alone. It fits into a broader trend of examining the pre-First World War modernising states through the lens of localness. Our central idea is to emphasise localness as a distinct dimension of culture and a particular framework for social communication, including competition or cooperation
Edukacja i wychowanie czy indoktrynacja i propaganda? Ideowe oblicza oświaty w placówkach Związku Patriotów Polskich na przykładzie Południowego Kazachstanu (1944–1946)
After 1943, the organisation of education for Polish children in the USSR included the incorporation of communist ideology and Stalinist propaganda into the curriculum. The Polish Patriots’ Union in the USSR, which promoted the slogans of “Polish-Soviet friendship” and the post-war alliance between Poland and its eastern neighbour, was responsible for re-establishing and expanding the network of educational institutions. The practice of operating schools, kindergartens, orphanages and boarding schools under the banner of the PPU showed varying degrees of compulsory propaganda. Examining this issue on the example of South Kazakhstan (i.e., the South Kazakhstan Oblast) reveals the scale of indoctrination. It allows for an assessment of whether, in practice, more effort was made to impart knowledge or whether education served merely as a pretext for political and educational work.
A two-phase free boundary problem involving exponential operator
In this paper we are interested in the study of a two-phase problem equipped with the -Laplacian operator
\Delta_\Phi u \coloneqq \mbox{div} \bigg(\varphi(|\nabla u|)
\dfrac{\nabla u}{|\nabla u|}\bigg),
%
where and . We obtain the existence, boundedness, and Log-Lipschitz regularity of the minimizers of the energy functional associated to the two-phase problem.
Furthermore, we also prove that the free boundaries of these minimizers have locally finite perimeter and Hausdorff dimension at most
Levitin-Polyak Well-posedness by perturbations for bilevel mixed vector variational inequalities
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the Levitin-Polyak well-posedness by perturbations of the bilevel mixed vector variational inequality (in short, BMVVI).
Under suitable conditions, we prove that the Levitin-Polyak well-posedness by perturbations of the BMVVI is equivalent to existence and uniqueness of
its solution and the generalized Levitin-Polyak well-posedness by perturbations of the BMVVI is equivalent to the nonemptiness and boundedness of the solution set
Positive ground state solutions of the critical nonlinear Schrödinger system with the harmonic potentials for the cooperative case
In this paper, we study the following two coupled nonlinear Schrödinger system with critical exponent:
\begin{equation*}
\begin{cases}
-\Delta u+|x-x_{0}|^{2}u-\lambda_{1}u=\mu_{1}u^{2^{*}-1}+\beta u^{{2^{*}}/{2}-1}v^{{2^{*}}/{2}}, & x\in \mathbb{R}^{N},
\\
-\Delta v+|x-y_{0}|^{2}v-\lambda_{2}v=\mu_{2}v^{2^{*}-1}+\beta v^{{2^{*}}/{2}-1}u^{{2^{*}}/{2}}, & x\in \mathbb{R}^{N},
\\
u> 0,\quad v> 0,& x\in \mathbb{R}^N,\\
u(x)\to0,\quad v(x)\to0, &\text{as }|x|\to+\infty,
\end{cases}
\end{equation*}
where , , , and with for and for .
By the variational method, we show that the existence of a positive ground state solution for the above system under the cooperative case.
Furthermore, we also partially reveal the influence mechanisms of ,
, and on the existence of positive ground state solutions
