Przegląd decyzji dotyczących laicyzmu w orzecznictwie japońskiego Sądu Najwyższego

    No full text
In February 2021, Japan’s Supreme Court issued a decision finding a violation of laicism. This is the case known as the Confucius Temple case, which was discussed. Laicism is an area where, along with equality, the Japanese Supreme Court has often ruled unconstitutional. In light of this, there is a need to rethink how the Supreme Court’s attitude to the principle of separation of church and state should be considered. This article briefly explains laicism in Japan and then examines four well-known Supreme Court decisions.W lutym 2021 r. japoński Sąd Najwyższy wydał decyzję stwierdzającą naruszenie laicyzmu. W niniejszym artykule pokrótce wyjaśniono laicyzm w Japonii, a następnie przeanalizowano cztery dobrze znane decyzje Sądu Najwyższego

Czwarty redaktor.

    Teologiczny sens jałmużny w Łk 11,41 i 12,33

    Get PDF
The article explores the role and significance of almsgiving in the first book of the Opus Lucanum, i.e. the Gospel of Luke. The Acts of the Apostles are more affluent in the relevant vocabulary, because the Greek word eleēmosynē appears 8 times (Acts 3:2.3.10; 9:36; 10:2.4.31; 24:17), while in the Gospel o Luke – only twice (Luke 11:41 and 12:33). The literary and exegetical analysis of both relevant pericopes in the Third Gospel – in Sayings against the Pharisees and the Lawyers (Luke 11:37-54) and on Treasure in Heaven (Luke 12:32-34) – allows us to give the conclusions of a specific kind. In the teaching of Jesus written in the Third Gospel almsgiving plays the role of not only a good deed required by the postulate of love for one's neighbor and the imperative of sharing with those in need. It turns out that it also has the power to cleanse the heart of the giver from sin and to earn for him the kingdom of the Father in heaven.Artykuł eksploruje rolę i znaczenie jałmużn w pierwszej księdze Opus Lucanum, czyli w Ewangelii Łukasza. Co do odnośnego słownictwa Łukaszowego Dwudzieła przewagę mają Dzieje Apostolskie, gdzie słowo greckie eleēmosynē występuje 8 razy (Dz 3,2.3.10; 9,36; 10,2.4.31; 24,17), zaś w Ewangelii – jedynie dwa razy (Łk 11,41 i 12,33). Analiza literacka i egzegetyczna obu stosownych perykop w Trzeciej Ewangelii – o napiętnowaniu faryzeuszów i uczonych w Prawie (Łk 11,37-54) oraz o dobrach trwałych (Łk 12,32-34) - pozwala nadać wnioskom swoiste ukierunkowanie.

Principle-Based Concept Analysis in Social Sciences: A Practical Guide to Methodology and Applications

    No full text
The article serves as a guide to applying principle-based concept analysis to studying romantic competence in adolescents and young adults. The methodology enables a multidimensional theoretical and practical analysis of concepts that are variably defined and operationalized. A systematic review was conducted using databases such as Scopus, ERIC, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, Ebscohost, Oaister, Google Scholar, and ResearchGate. Keywords related to romantic competence and adolescent romantic relationships guided the search. The selection process followed PRISMA guidelines, and the included articles were assessed for quality using a tool adapted for this study. The literature on romantic competence was evaluated based on four principles: epistemological, pragmatic, linguistic, and logical. This methodological approach emphasizes the importance of transparency, reliability, and replicability, making it a valuable tool for advancing both theoretical and practical applications in the social sciences

Revised and extended Polish version of the Student Subjective Well-being Questionnaire (SSWQ-PL-R): Psychometric evidence from two studies with adolescents

This study presents the development and psychometric validation of the Revised and Extended Polish Version of the Student Subjective Well-being Questionnaire (SSWQ-PL-R), designed to provide a comprehensive assessment of school well-being among Polish primary school students. Drawing on two independent samples (Study 1: N = 525; Study 2: N = 702), the study expanded the original SSWQ by incorporating new dimensions related to teacher-student relationships and peer relationships, guided by theoretical frameworks proposed by Konu and Rimpela (2002) and Soutter et al. (2014). In Study 1, exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and exploratory graph analysis (EGA) were conducted to identify the factor structure of the model. In Study 2, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was performer to validate the four-factor solution identified in Study 1 and confirm the presence of a higher-order factor representing overall school well-being. Across both studies, the SSWQ-PL-R demonstrated high factorial validity, internal consistency, and strong convergent validity, supported by significant associations with school-related stress, emotional difficulties, and self-regulation. Therefore, the SSWQ-PL-R can be applied in research and/or in psychological and educational practice to provide important information in a broader assessment of students’ psychosocial functioning in the school environment. This study presents the development and psychometric validation of the Revised and Extended Polish Version of the Student Subjective Well-being Questionnaire (SSWQ-PL-R), designed to provide a comprehensive assessment of school well-being among Polish primary school students. Krytyczna analiza katolickiego dyskursu medialnego na temat edukacji zdrowotnej jako nowego przedmiotu w polskiej szkole

Health education, as a process of learning a sense of responsibility for one’s own health and the health of others, functions in many countries around the world. In 2024, a regulation was issued containing a draft curriculum for a new subject in Polish schools – Health Education. This is a manifestation of gradual legislative efforts aimed at change in Polish education. According to the concept of Michael W. Apple, groups exerting influence on the shaping of educational policy include, among others, religious groups, including those with a conservative orientation. This, in turn, may lead to the creation of inequalities in society. Therefore, the aim of this article was to reconstruct Catholic media discourse (giving voice to representatives of Catholicism) on Health Education as a new subject in Polish schools. The study was guided by the following research question: How is Health Education, as a new school subject, presented in Catholic media discourse? Thirty articles were analysed (radiomaryja.pl, opoka.org.pl, deon.pl, ekai.pl, gosc.pl), using critical discourse analysis in the discourse-historical approach of Ruth Wodak and Martin Reisigl. Supporting concepts were childhood innocence and health/morality binary. Health Education, as a new subject in Polish schools, was presented in the analysed discourse in a rather unambiguous, negative way. Catholic media equated it with sex education, seeing it as indoctrination and a threat to defenceless students, and even to the entire nation. The reasons for the negative assessment of health education in Catholic media discourse also included the departure by the authors of the curriculum from traditional values, in favour of an approach focused on scientific knowledge, and the neglect of the aspect of teacher preparation for teaching the new subject. The pressure presented in the analysed discourse ultimately proved effective – health education was no longer made compulsory. This suggests that the influence of religious groups (particularly Catholic ones) on education in Poland does, in fact, exist

Logical Deductive Processes as Time Consuming Events : Instance versus execution of logical arguments

    Get PDF
The point of this paper is to show that deductive arguments may not be executed in deductive inferences, and reciprocally, deductive inferences, if they existed, may not instantiate deductive arguments. Three reasons for making this distinction between instances and executions of logical arguments are offered. For example, the pragmatic expectation of the consequent may instantiate a Modus Ponens argument form, but it does not execute a logical deduction. The proposed distinction clarifies the current state of the art on factual logically deductive inferences in two opposed directions: first, exemplifying a deductive argument is not enough for an inference to be deductive, and second, the same energy and time-consuming process may both execute and instantiate a deductive argument. Future experiments may show or discard the existence of recursive and semi-recursive processes being deductive inferences, that is, being at the same time instance and execution of a deductive argument form

The paper addresses Øhstrøm and Hasle’s argument against regarding Jerzy Łoś’s “axiomatization of a fragment of the physical language” as first temporal logic. It is pointed out that the arguments are insufficient to establish their claim
