    The adoption of online banking services in Morocco : A review of literature

    Abstract Moroccan banks continue to make great efforts to promote the use of online banking. However, some customers continue to use only traditional banking services. In fact, there is a reluctance to use online banking. This article examines the adoption of online banking in Morocco, with the aim of identifying barriers to its use. Our research reveals that the intention to use online banking is influenced by several factors, including perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitudes towards online banking, trust, service quality and perceived risk. We contribute to the literature on online banking adoption.     Crisis Management and Communication in Moroccan SMEs: Analysis using the Processual Approach

    Abstract: Today, companies are faced with a myriad of complex challenges, underlining the crucial importance of effective management and appropriate communication to effectively resolve emerging issues. In this context, our study aims to understand the various perceptions of crises and analyzes the management and communication strategies adopted in such circumstances according to a process-oriented approach. We explore how Moroccan small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) improve their crisis management and communication in crisis situations. Our qualitative methodology is based on a comprehensive exploratory study structured around four distinct case studies, providing a coherent overview. The results indicate that crisis management encompasses multiple approaches, requiring adapted communication and flexibility in the implementation of strategies to overcome challenges. The crisis management and communication process approach allow managers to understand, communicate and manage difficult situations according to a well-structured framework. These findings could also guide decision-makers toward effective strategic and operational solutions to contemporary challenges. this research can make a significant contribution to improving crisis management and communication practices within Moroccan SMEs, which face complex and changing environments.     How The Concept Of Buying Local Products Impact Organic Food Products Purchasing Desicions In Emerging Markets: A Theoretical Perspective

    Abstract There is a growing demand for organic food products, given consumers are gaining interest in preserving their health and the environment. Many researchers have assessed the changing attitudes towards organic products. Additionally, the consumption behaviour in emerging markets is shifting to local products. This research aimed to establish if the concept of consuming locally produced products, even if not necessarily certified organic, impacted the intention to purchase locally produced organic food. The specific objectives were to: Examine the consumers’ awareness and perception of the concept of buying locally produced products in emerging markets; Explore consumer preferences and buying behaviour towards locally produced products; and to establish consumers’ preferences towards locally produced organic foods. The study applied the theory of planned behaviour to explore the topic through content analysis of published literature and established a high probability of the ‘buy local build local’ concept impacting positive influences to purchasing local organic foods in emerging markets if marketing imperfections are eliminated. However, the research established a dearth of literature directly covering this topic thus recommends an extensive primary study on the subject.     Résumé L'étude des dynamiques et des disparités territoriales au Maroc est cruciale pour comprendre les variations de développement économique et social entre les différentes régions du pays. Comme de nombreux pays en développement, le Maroc présente des écarts significatifs entre ses régions en termes de richesse, d'infrastructure et d'accès aux services publics. Cette étude vise à analyser ces disparités à travers une approche économétrique en se concentrant sur les régions de Fès-Meknès et Casablanca-Settat. En utilisant des données de 2015 à 2023, nous appliquons divers modèles économétriques pour identifier les facteurs clés influençant ces disparités. Les résultats montrent des différences marquées dans les taux de chômage, l'urbanisation et les investissements publics entre les deux régions étudiées, offrant ainsi des pistes pour des politiques publiques ciblées afin de réduire ces écarts.     Intelligence émotionnelle, bien-être psychologique et l’engagement professionnel: Test du rôle médiateur de la satisfaction au travail (cas des enseignants marocains en milieu rural)

    Résumé L’engagement des enseignants, souvent perçu comme le niveau de leur implication et de leur enthousiasme dans leurs fonctions, a suscité un intérêt croissant ces dernières années. Cet engagement se manifeste lorsque les enseignants se sentent reconnus et alignés avec les objectifs de l’organisation, les motivant ainsi à fournir des efforts accrus pour contribuer à son succès. Cette étude vise à analyser en profondeur l’impact de l’intelligence émotionnelle et du bien-être psychologique sur l’engagement des enseignants travaillant au sein des écoles publiques en milieu rural, en considérant la satisfaction au travail comme médiateur. Le rôle primordial des enseignants dans la concrétisation des objectifs éducatifs est indéniable, car ils jouent un rôle direct dans la formation et le développement des élèves. Il est donc essentiel de comprendre les facteurs qui influencent leur engagement pour améliorer les résultats scolaires dans ces régions. Les données recueillies proviennent d’une enquête menée auprès de 173 enseignants travaillant dans des écoles publiques situées en milieu rural. L’analyse des données a été réalisée à l’aide du logiciel SmartPLS 4.0. Les résultats de l’étude montrent que l’intelligence émotionnelle, le bien-être psychologique, et la satisfaction au travail ont tous un effet positif significatif sur l’engagement des enseignants dans ces contextes. En d’autres termes, des enseignants satisfaits de leur travail, se sentant en bonne santé mentale et dotés d’une intelligence émotionnelle élevée, sont davantage enclins à s’impliquer pleinement dans leur travail et à contribuer de manière proactive à la réalisation des objectifs éducatifs.   Mots clés: Intelligence émotionnelle, Bien-être psychologique, Satisfaction au travail, Engagement professionnel.       Abstract Teacher engagement, often perceived as the level of their involvement and enthusiasm in their roles, has garnered increasing interest in recent years. This engagement becomes evident when teachers feel recognized and aligned with the organization’s goals, motivating them to put in extra effort to contribute to its success. This study aims to thoroughly analyze the impact of emotional intelligence and psychological well-being on the engagement of teachers working in public schools in rural areas, with job satisfaction considered as a mediating factor. The essential role of teachers in achieving educational goals is undeniable, as they play a direct role in the training and development of students. Therefore, understanding the factors that influence their engagement is crucial to improving educational outcomes in these regions. The data were collected through a survey conducted among 173 teachers working in public schools located in rural areas. The data analysis was performed using the SmartPLS 4.0 software. The study results indicate that emotional intelligence, psychological well-being, and job satisfaction all have a significant positive effect on teacher engagement in these contexts.     Perspectives multiples de la performance des incubateurs universitaires au Maroc : une étude qualitative auprès des acteurs clés

    Résumé: En explorant les multiples dimensions de la performance des incubateurs universitaires dans un secteur en pleine réforme, cet article répond à un réel besoin d’évaluation, en raison de la croissance et l’expansion de ces structures dans les universités. Il offre une analyse de leur performance, des indicateurs de sa mesure et de ses principaux déterminants. Pour ce faire, et afin de recueillir des perspectives variées sur les dimensions de cette performance, l'étude adopte une méthodologie qualitative basée sur des entretiens semi-directifs avec treize acteurs (entrepreneurs, responsables d’incubateurs, financeurs, expert en incubation). Les résultats confirment la complexité et la nature multidimensionnelle de la performance des incubateurs universitaires. Ils révèlent que ces structures jouent un rôle important dans la promotion de l'entrepreneuriat, l'innovation, et la valorisation de la recherche, tout en contribuant au développement économique. Cependant, évaluer leur performance est délicat en raison des attentes variées des parties prenantes et la nécessité de combiner des critères à la fois quantitatifs et qualitatifs. Les principaux déterminants identifiés incluent la gouvernance, les ressources humaines, les infrastructures, les pratiques de sélection, la spécialisation, le réseautage, le soutien gouvernemental, l'accès au financement, la réglementation universitaire, et les caractéristiques individuelles des incubés. The results confirm the complexity and multidimensional nature of university incubator performance. They reveal that these structures play an important role in promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and research valorization, while contributing to economic development. However, assessing their performance is tricky due to the varied expectations of stakeholders and the need to combine both quantitative and qualitative criteria. The main determinants identified include governance, human resources, infrastructure, selection practices, specialization, networking, government support, access to funding, university regulation, and individual characteristics of incubatees.     L'Intelligence Artificielle au Service de l'Éducation au Maroc : Opportunités, Défis et Perspectives

    Résumé L'article se penche sur l'impact de l'intelligence artificielle (IA) sur le secteur éducatif au Maroc au cours des vingt dernières années. Il débute en mettant en évidence l'essor du secteur de l'éducation. Ensuite, il identifie plusieurs facteurs contribuant à la détérioration de la qualité de l'éducation, notamment la perte d'autonomie des institutions éducatives. L'importance de moderniser le système éducatif en incorporant des technologies contemporaines, telles que l'IA, est mise en avant pour répondre aux besoins présents et futurs. L'IA permettrait une personnalisation de l'apprentissage, bien que des améliorations soient nécessaires pour optimiser son efficacité. L'article examine également le potentiel de l'IA dans la création du contenu éducatif intelligent pour faire face à la massification des étudiants. L'étude se concentre ensuite sur trois questions clés : les opportunités de l'IA pour améliorer l'éducation au Maroc, les défis à surmonter lors de son intégration, et les perspectives pour l'éducation marocaine grâce à l'IA. La méthodologie de l'étude est expliquée en détail, y compris la collecte de données, la méthode d'analyse, la population étudiée et les instruments de mesure. Se focaliser sur l’intégration de cette industrie progressivement dans les applications de gestion est crucial puisque l’idée se qualifie de large et assez complexe. C’est dans cette optique s’inscrit cet article pour clarifier le croisement entre l’IA et les ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning). Nous allons nous baser sur une étude de l’apprentissage automatique à travers l’intelligence automatique évoquée théoriquement. Cet article explore la littérature sur les ERP et l’intelligence artificielle dans différents articles et livres. Dans de nombreux domaines des ERP, l’intelligence artificielle est largement utilisée, notamment dans le support client, l’analyse prédictive et les projections de ventes.
