Financial Management Strategies for Improving The Performance of Small and Medium Enterprises: A Case Study of Traditional Indonesian Food Outlets
This study seeks to examine the impact of financial management on enhancing the performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in traditional Indonesian food outlets. Data were gathered through direct observation of these MSMEs using primary sources. The research adopts an action research approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and documentation. The analysis used Multiple Linear Regression, Classical Assumption Testing, and Hypothesis Testing with SPSS software. The findings reveal that financial planning, financial record-keeping, and the separation of personal and business finances have a significant and positive effect on the performance of MSMEs. The R-Square (R²) value of 0.825 indicates that these independent variables can explain 82.5% of MSME performance variation, while the remaining 17.5% is attributed to other factors not explored in this study. The practical implications of this research suggest that traditional Indonesian food MSMEs should emphasize structured financial planning, accurate financial record-keeping, and precise separation of personal and business finances. These practices will enable MSMEs to assess their performance better and make informed business decisions. The study recommends that MSMEs adopt sound financial planning practices, maintain precise financial records, and consistently separate personal from business finances. By doing so, MSMEs can improve their financial management, enhancing business performance and sustainability
Enhancing Academic Success in Strawberry Generation: The Influence of Character Education and Social Media on Mental Health
This research examines the direct and indirect effects of Character Education and Social Media Experience on Academic Achievement, mediated by Mental Health. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SEM with the Smart PLS application. The sample size for this study is 200 respondents. The results of this study indicate a significant direct effect of character education and social media experience on academic achievement and an indirect impact of character education on academic achievement through mental health. However, the indirect impact of social media on academic achievement through mental health was not accepted. This research contributes to the improvement of academic achievement among strawberry generation students
Balanced Implementation Scorecard on MSME Kacang Hijau Ajeng: Impact on Employee Performance and Economic Growth in Southeast Aceh
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi kualitas kinerja karyawan dalam kontribusinya terhadap peningkatan perekonomian pada Usaha Kacang Ijo Ajeng. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data primer. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan lima informan yang terlibat pada penelitian ini. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi baru (novelty) dalam literatur yang ada, khususnya terkait dengan perspektif keuangan yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Lebih dari itu, aspek keuangan tidak hanya berfokus pada produktivitas perusahaan dari sisi aktiva, tetapi juga memberikan dampak signifikan pada kinerja karyawan. Dan pada perspektif pelanggan, adanya permasalahan dalam pola komunikasi yang kurang baik terhadap sesama karyawan di Usaha Kacang Ijo Ajeng, mengakibatkan perspektif pelanggan menurunkan penjualan sehingga tidak tercapainya peningkatan perekonomian. Kemudian pada perspektif proses bisnis internal, Usaha Kacang Ijo Ajeng selalu melakukan perbaikan pada kualitas produk. Akan tetapi dilihat dari sisi kinerja karyawannya, Usaha Kacang Ijo Ajeng belum melakukan pengembangan karyawan secara on the job / pelatihan karyawan secara berkala, kemudian layanan purna jual yang kurang baik, serta minimnya keterampilan dan pengetahuan karyawan. Dalam hal perkembangan, para karyawan belum menunjukkan sikap positif terhadap peningkatan kinerja perusahaan karena perusahaan kurang mendorong mereka untuk terus belajar dan berkembang
The aim of this research is to evaluate the quality of employee performance in its contribution to improving the economy at Ajeng's Ijo Bean Business. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with primary data sources. Data were collected through interviews with five informants involved in this study. This research provides a novelty contribution in the existing literature, especially related to the financial perspective which is very influential on company performance. Moreover, the financial aspect does not only focus on the company's productivity in terms of assets, but also has a significant impact on employee performance. And in the customer perspective, there are problems in poor communication patterns with fellow employees at Ajeng's Kacang Ijo Business, resulting in the customer perspective reducing sales so that an economic improvement is not achieved. Then in the perspective of internal business processes, Ajeng's Kacang Ijo Business always makes improvements to product quality. However, in terms of employee performance, Ajeng's Kacang Ijo Business has not carried out employee development on the job / regular employee training, then poor after-sales service, and lack of employee skills and knowledge. In terms of development, employees have not shown a positive attitude towards improving company performance because the company does not encourage them to continue learning and developing.
 
Does e-WOM and Product Quality Impact Purchase Decision in Tiktok Indonesia?
The impact of this is that sales of beauty products can contribute significantly to a country's economy. Successful cosmetics companies can create jobs, pay taxes and contribute to economic growth. This can influence consumer preferences and provide companies with information about what the market is interested in. This study aims to determine the effect of electronic word of mouth and product quality on purchasing decisions mediated by brand image on Maybelline mascara products in Indonesia. The population in this study are people who have bought Maybelline mascara on TikTok social media at least twice. This study will use a causal design approach with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) as a statistical approach to test constructs and hypotheses built with AMOS 24 statistical aids. The number of samples used in this study were 215 respondents who had bought Maybelline mascara on TikTok at least 2 times. The results of this study indicate that electronic word of mouth and product quality have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions mediated by brand image
Is Reliable Information Technology Important For Supporting Work-From-Home Practices in Mining Companies After the Pandemic?
The goal that is expected to be achieved in this research is to determine the influence of IT reliability in supporting WFH for work-life balance, employee performance and cost reduction in mining companies. There has not been much research on WFH practices with reliable IT support in mining companies, where mining companies generally use long working hours for their employees to be fully present at the mining site. The population in this research are employees of mining companies whose mining locations are spread across several places and exploitation activities are carried out entirely by contractors. The research method is descriptive with a quantitative approach. Based on this research, it was found that IT reliability in supporting WFH has a significant impact on work-life balance and cost reduction for employees. However, on the other hand, it was also found that the presence of IT in supporting WFH did not significantly influence employee performance and work-life balance was not found to be able to mediate employee performance
Analysis of QRIS Payment System Financial Literacy and Financial Management Performance on the Development of MSMEs
Research purposes This is for analyze use system QRIS payments, literacy finance, performance management. Types of research This is descriptive quantitative, data collection using instrument study with those who have determined based on development theory between variable. Population in research This as many as 85 perpetrators businesses in the district Pandeglang and all over perpetrator as many as 85 business actors were created sample data observation. The data analysis method uses interpretation SPSS statistics 25. Research results show that QRIS, Literacy finance, Performance Management finance No influential or not impact to development MSME income in the sub-district Pandeglang. Recommendation for research Next, you can adding variables like variable satisfaction, attitude in use, motivation usage, and others so that expected results study the later can become donation thoughts and materials consideration so that you can increase use of QRIS. Implications Of these variables, financial literacy has the greatest influence on interest in using QRIS. Therefore, the government needs pay attention to and strengthen policies, especially in the field of financial literacy, as the main factor in increasing the interest of MSMEs and the public in using QRIS as a means of payment transactions
Human Resource Competency Development to Support the Development of Blue Economy-Based Marine Energy
The utilization of ocean energy based on the blue economy has become a primary focus in efforts to achieve sustainability in the maritime sector. The development of this sector requires high-quality human resources to address complex challenges. Therefore, this research aims to identify the need for human resource competencies to support the development of ocean energy based on the blue economy. This study adopts a mixed-methods approach (qualitative and quantitative) with a survey of stakeholders in the ocean energy sector. The survey will be conducted to gather data on the competencies required by personnel in various fields such as technology services, management, and law. The collected data will be analyzed using factor analysis techniques to identify the most important competencies. The targeted outcome is to provide employees as future generations with additional knowledge insight into relevant blue economy aspects aligning with the needs and challenges they will face in the future. We hope that the results of this research will provide valuable information for those involved in human resource development in the ocean energy service sector. This information can be utilized to develop training and staff development programs tailored to the specific needs
SWOT Strategy Analysis of the Merger of Cigna Insurance Company with Chubb Life Company
The merger is a strategic corporate move that aims to advance Chubb by expanding and strengthening its presence in Indonesia. But the fact is that after officially conducting a merger, a strategy is needed in facing future competition. The SWOT Strategy Analysis of this research was determined with the aim of business or identifying objects related to the research. The data used in this field research was collected and analyzed using qualitative methods. So that several objectives can be obtained in this study, namely the first objective is to provide new opportunities for companies to operate efficiently, while the second objective is to reduce costs and increase company efficiency after the merger. The results showed that Chubb Life Medan Branch has many opportunities that need to be utilized effectively. Therefore, the company should evaluate its existing resources, skills and weaknesses. Based on the analysis, this research can provide strategies to help Chubb Life Medan Branch collaborate with other companies. The findings suggest the implication that Chubb Life Medan Branch should focus on improving its internal environment and external environment to enhance its performance and competitiveness. In addition, one of the best methods to strengthen the company's base is through mergers. The argument is that mergers can enable businesses to achieve their goals more quickly
Impact of Flexible Work Environments on Employee Performance: Mediating Roles of Stress and Work-Life Balance
Employee performance is crucial for the success of organizations, influenced by various factors such as work stress and work-life balance. This study focuses on the impact of flexible work environments on employee performance, with work stress and work-life balance as mediating factors. The main aim of this research is to investigate the relationship between flexible work environments, work stress, work-life balance, and employee performance. The research utilized a quantitative approach with a sample of employees from various industries. Data was collected through questionnaires assessing perceptions of flexible work environments, work stress, work-life balance, and employee performance. Statistical analysis, including regression analysis and mediation analysis, was conducted to examine the relationships between the variables. The findings indicate that a flexible work environment has a positive impact on work stress and work-life balance, which, in turn, leads to improved employee performance. Regression analysis revealed significant relationships between these variables, highlighting the importance of flexibility in enhancing employee well-being and performance. This research demonstrates the significance of flexible work environments in promoting work-life balance and reducing work stress, ultimately enhancing employee performance. Organizations should consider implementing flexible work policies to support employee well-being and productivity. These findings have implications for human resource management practices and organizational policies aimed at creating a conducive work environment for employees
Does the Digital Payment System “QRIS” Affect the Purchasing Behaviour of Food and Beverage Products?
This study analyzes whether the availability of the QRIS payment method influences the decision to purchase food or drink products for people who are familiar with this payment method. Data was collected through an online survey (n = 112) and followed by respondents in the age range 18-45 years who live in the city of Jakarta and its surroundings as well as several other provinces. Survey questions were developed by adopting some of the factors in innovation adoption (E.M. Rogers, 1972) and factors that influence purchasing behavior (Widayat, Marsudi and Ilyas Masudin, 2023). Based on the simultaneous test and partial test, the probability F-statistics value and the significance value of the QRIS payment system variable is smaller than α (0.05), showing that there is a significant effect of the QRIS payment system on the purchasing behavior variable. A simple regression analysis was carried out, which was also accompanied by a normality test, linearity test and hypothesis test. As a result, the coefficient of determination reveals an R squared value of 0.281, which means that the QRIS payment system variable is able to influence purchasing behavior variables by 28.1%. The results of this research provide insight to business actors, business practitioners and policy makers in the banking sector that convenience in transactions needs to be considered as part of an effective marketing strategy
