Get PDFImmunization is the provision of immunity against a disease and will only provide immunity or resistance to that disease, so if you need to avoid various diseases, other immunizations are needed. Immunization is very effective in preventing infectious diseases, through immunization our bodies will not be susceptible to infectious diseases (Faisal, 2021). There are two types of immunization, namely active immunization and passive immunization. National immunization programs include BCG, Hepatitis B, DTP, Polio, Hib and measles.The subjects in the service activities are mothers who have babies aged 0-12 months in Mangga Village, Ladang Bambu District, as many as 12 people. In the initial stage, an approach was made to the residents to deliver counseling material using the lecture method, immunization implementation assisted by the village midwife and followed by a question and answer session. Community service activities with the title "Community Empowerment in Improving Mothers' Knowledge about Immunization for Infants 0-12 Months of Age in Mangga Village, Medan Tuntungan District in 2022" were carried out on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 09.00 WIB until completion. When the activity began, residents came to register, then heard counseling material about increasing maternal knowledge about immunization in infants aged 0-12 months, weighing the baby's weight and TB, and carrying out immunizations assisted by village midwives. It is hoped that health workers will conduct health counseling to mothers who have babies aged 0-12 months, and mothers know the benefits of immunization which can reduce the incidence of disease, disability, and loss of life of a baby caused by infectious diseases

This activity is necessary because students often feel reluctant and insecure when communicating by using English in and outside the campus because they are afraid of making mistakes in pronunciation or grammatically. This community service activity aimed to increase students' motivation and self-confidence in Speaking English through the English BootCamp. English BootCamp is an outdoor activity that aims to give students a new atmosphere through more exciting activities. This activity was attended by 60 students who are the new members of Stikes Banyuwangi English Club. The expected outcome was that the students are more motivated to sharpen their skills and confidence in speaking English even though they majored in medicine. The methods used were games, discussion, songs, role play, and Free Talking. Students are very enthusiastic about joining this program because they provide a new experience with an outdoor atmosphere that is more relaxed, not boring, and not monotonous with various fun activity methods. Students become more courageous and have high self-confidence in Speaking English. They are more active in asking questions about vocabulary/expressions they do not understand, and they show their efforts by being actively involved in every activity. English BootCamp activity can change the students' mindset if Speaking English is not as difficult as imagined. This activity not only increases students' motivation and confidence but also their English skills

Children are a group that is vulnerable to the spread of Covid-19, especially children who live side by side like in orphanages. This activity aims to educate and assist children at the Al-Hidayah Orphanage in Mataram in implementing Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) in order to avoid the transmission of Covid-19. This activity also received high enthusiasm, as seen from the active participation of participants in giving and answering questions. The educational materials for PHBS in preventing COVID-19 were given, namely Clean and Healthy Behavior in Schools, Introduction of COVID-19 and its symptoms, how to wash hands properly and correctly, how to apply cough etiquette, and how to maintain personal hygiene. It can be concluded that this activity succeeded in increasing children's knowledge in implementing clean and healthy living behavior in the school environment, especially in the Al-Hidayah Orphanage Mataram. assistance to those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic

These three things are strongly influenced by the state of nutrition. Nutritional problems in Indonesia are currently included in the triple burden of nutrition status. The prevalence of stunting under five in Indonesia is included in the chronic category, which is 30.8%. The direct cause of nutritional problems in toddlers is due to an unbalanced diet. Balanced nutrition is a food composition from a variety of food ingredients that contain nutrients needed by the body, both in quality and quantity. One of the efforts to prevent nutritional problems in toddlers is to empower parents of toddlers through increasing the knowledge of mothers of toddlers. The role of the mother is very important for toddlers to fulfill balanced nutrition because the level of knowledge about nutrition will affect the food selection process and family eating behavior. Therefore, this community service program is to carry out balanced nutrition counseling activities that aim to increase the knowledge of mothers of toddlers about balanced nutrition to prevent nutritional problems in toddlers. The target of this activity is mothers of children under five at Posyandu Catleya 19. The implementation of this activity was attended by mothers of children under five at Posyandu Catleya 19, posyandu cadres, and coordinating midwives. Counseling on balanced nutrition begins with pretest activities, then continues with material presentation, discussion and question and answer, and then closes with posttest. In this activity, mothers of children under five are given a balanced nutrition module which contains material on balanced nutrition and recipes that can be applied in daily feeding of children under five. The results of the activity evaluation showed that 76.3% of mothers under five experienced an increase in knowledge after counseling

This material chose because this material has not been mastered and deemed to be most often needed to handle the Gelang village office's administration, so it is necessary to hold basic Microsoft word training activities for the village apparatus of Gelang. This activity was born on September 7, 2016, introducing the presenter followed by a pre-test to determine the participants' initial abilities. After that, the presentation of material about basic Microsoft word accompanied by mentoring, practice, discussion and ended with a post-test continued with the material's production. The activity evaluation data shows that the participant's post-test scores' lowest score wa perfect compared to the participant's pre-test scores. The lowest score for the participant's post-test was 75, and the highest score for the participant was 90 compared to the pre-test score with the highest score only reaching 60/ Thus, it can say that there was a significant increase in the score

For the past years, the coverage of Basic Complete Immunisation has been increasing in several areas in Central Java. However, there were still some community groups that believed immunisation was harmful for their children and they did not allow their children to be vaccinated. This condition could cause a new case of diseases which usually can be prevented by immunisation, such as Polio, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Hepatitis, and many more. Therefore, this program held to refresh the cadres knowledge about immunisation also provide more knowledge for pregnant mother about immunisation so they agree to let their children vaccinated after they born until they complete the basic immunisation. This community service heldin January – February 2020 in Sendangagung Village, Pamotan, Rembang District. The participants were health cadres and pregnant woman in Sendangagung Village, Pamotan, Rembang District. This event started with a mini pre-test, explanation about immunisation, and discussion. Participants stated that this event increase and refresh their knowledge about immunisation. Moreover, participants also get a booklet about the immunisation so the health cadres might use this booklet as their education media to educate other pregnant women and toddler’s parents about immunisation

Get PDFSeeing the development of the COVID-19 and the increasing number of new cases, WHO has published several updates, guidelines, and health protocols regarding this pandemic. The government of Indonesia has issued an appeal to the public to follow this health protocol. Various educational posters and videos have been widely published on social media, television stations and other communication media. One of the programs that the government always socializes during this pandemic is the implementation of Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) or Clean and Healthy Behavior. The purpose of this Virtual Integrative Community Service program is to find out the level of public knowledge about the importance of PHBS and traveling during a pandemic, especially in the AKB era. The methods used in this activity are surveys on community PHBS, surveys regarding travel activities during the pandemic, making PHBS videos and posters, and webinars on the use of herbs as an antistress and immunity enhancer. The partner community in this online KKN PPM activity is the Langensari village community, Solokanjeruk sub-district in particular and the general public who can access social media. The results of the traveling survey showed that out of 441 respondents, around 332 people did not have plans to travel. Of the 332 respondents who chose not to travel, around 229 respondents argued that they did not have a crucial interest, 142 respondents were worried about contracting COVID-19, 50 respondents said they did not have accommodation, and 102 respondents chose to continue traveling / traveling. The results of the PHBS survey are that most respondents have implemented PHBS with the most results being 99.3%, namely the choice of washing hands and using masks. Respondents who answered no to the third question gave answers to the causes of this in the form of lack of access to information (3.4%), laziness (6.9%), and lack of care (4.1%). The group activities of the 25 KKN-PPM Virtual Integrative have been carried out well and can increase community knowledge of PHBS and health protocols when traveling during a pandemic and increase knowledge about the use and manufacture of herbs to increase immunity

Get PDFThe pandemic outbreak has had an impact on the field of employment in general, so the Al Ittihad BLK (Balai Latihan Kerja or Work Training Centre) is trying to improve the digital skills of the learning participants to be more competitive during and after the pandemic. BLK, whose participants are the majority of alumni from the Al Ittihad Islamic boarding school, is expected to get additional ability to increase competitiveness in the world of work. The Ma Chung University community service team, which had discussed in a brainstorming session with the BLK managers, then agreed to provide videography training with the PBL (Project Based Learning) model with the assumption that the model was better able to increase the enthusiasm for learning and optimize the creative potential of the participants. The training, which was carried out offline for a limited time in the Poncokusumo area, Malang Regency, was proven to be able to improve the skills of the participants in learning and more visible learning outcomes based on the video project made by the participants. So it can be concluded that the implementation of the PBL model in this training process can be more effective in the limited training period

Community service activities aim to provide understanding to partners so that they have knowledge and concern about preventing the spread of COVID-19 through the application of the 5M health protocol, increasing creativity in efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 through education on how to make hand sanitizers from natural ingredients of betel leaf (Piper betle Linn) which are mostly found in Sukorejo Village. The method used in this activity is counseling by providing material through lectures and distributing hand sanitizer finished products. The implementation of this service activity in the form of dissemination of the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 involves active participation from partners starting from the activity planning process, preparation of activity schedules to education on how to make and distribute hand sanitizers. This activity generated ideas for partners who are mostly housewives to empower themselves in supporting government programs to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by practicing how to make natural hand sanitizers from betel leaf. Thus, the expected output from this activity is an increase in IRT knowledge in preventing the spread of COVID-19, how to manufacture, packaging hand sanitizers, and participants to obtain sample products which can increase interest in producing similar products and commitment to implementing health protocols in preventing the spread of COVID-19
