In 2013, there were 18 provinces whose coverage of early breastfeeding was below the national figure, one of which was East Java. Mother's knowledge from pregnancy to childbirth about IMD is very decisive for the success of exclusive breastfeeding and avoiding the baby from being malnourished. The counseling activity for early breastfeeding initiation at Posyandu Catleya 19 was attended by 22 prospective mothers, 7 pregnant women and 6 breastfeeding mothers. Participants were given a pretest to determine the level of knowledge about early breastfeeding initiation. The activity continued with the presentation of material about early breastfeeding initiation to participants. The community service team also provided modules to participants in easy-to-understand language, followed by discussion and question and answer sessions. The topics that were used as questions by the participants were related to family support in breastfeeding, the fear of pregnant women about breast milk that did not come out when giving birth to a baby and equalizing perceptions regarding the importance of breastfeeding for babies starting with early initiation of breastfeeding for newborns. Based on the evaluation results, there were 20 prospective mothers, 7 pregnant women and 4 breastfeeding mothers with a post test score higher than the pretest score or a total of 88.57%. This shows that there is an increase in knowledge about the importance of early breastfeeding initiation for the success of exclusive breastfeeding to infants
Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Terhadap Pelaksanaan Tugas Kesehatan Keluarga Pada Suku Minangkabau di Desa Nogo Rejo Kec. Galang Tahun 2021
Every family has health duties that aim to prevent health problems and care for sick family members. Family health duties include five main aspects: preventing illness, maintaining health, managing existing illnesses, participating in health programs, and coping with emergency situations. The implementation of these health duties is often influenced by the family culture, including the values and customs of a particular ethnic group. This study focuses on the implementation of family health duties in the Minangkabau community, which is known for its matrilineal kinship system. The population of this study consisted of Minangkabau families in Nogo Rejo Village, Galang Sub-district. The main objective of this study was to identify how Minangkabau families carry out their health duties. The results showed that knowledge about the implementation of family health duties in the Minangkabau community is still limited. This indicates that further research is needed to uncover the cultural factors that influence the implementation of family health duties among the Minangkabau. By digging deeper into family health practices in this cultural context, it is hoped that more appropriate approaches can be found in supporting Minangkabau families in maintaining health and caring for sick family members. This research provides an important basis for further exploration of how Minangkabau cultural values and practices may influence family health. Through a deeper understanding of the relationship between culture and family health, more effective intervention efforts can be designed to improve the quality of life of Minangkabau people
Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Dalam Penyuluhan Makanan Pendamping ASI di Kelurahan Mangga Kecamatan Medan Tuntungan
The importance of proper nutrient intake for children's growth and development is a major concern for parents, providing exclusive breastfeeding until the age of 6 months is a very important first step to ensure children get adequate nutrition for growth and development. At the age of 6 months, the child enters a transition period where the introduction of complementary foods (MP-ASI), MP-ASI is an additional source of nutrition given to children after the age of 6 months to meet their nutritional needs apart from breast milk. The importance of providing complementary foods on time in the age range of 6-12 months is crucial, as children are very vulnerable to malnutrition during this period. Therefore, complementary foods become the main support in maintaining the nutritional balance of children from 6 months to 2 years of age. By providing appropriate complementary foods, it is expected that children can grow and develop optimally and avoid the risk of malnutrition that can interfere with their health and growth

Among the activities that have been carried out are learning assistance to children, organizing TPA for children, organizing socialization on preventing the spread of Covid-19 and providing entrepreneurial motivation for people affected by Covid-19. Pengelolaan Keuangan Keluarga di Masa Pandemi Covid-19
Problems that often arise in the family/ household are quite complex. One of them is economic problems or financial problems, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic requiring careful financial management by making a priority scale where prioritizing expenditures based on needs compared to spending based on desires in order to avoid debt and receivables. The method in implementing PKM is carried out in three stages, namely 1) The preparation stage includes community situation analysis, identification of problems, determining PKM work objectives, determining the theme and schedule for PKM implementation, division of PKM tasks, 2) Implementation stage including presentation of material delivery with the lecture method, question and answer session, mentoring session for making financial management to participants, 3) Evaluation stage. This PKM activity was carried out by implementing the Covid-19 Health protocol which was attended by 20 participants, which were dominated by women who were married or had families. The goal is that these housewives are able to record every income and are able to track daily expenses that have been issued in one month by way of prioritizing financial management. The conclusion from this PKM was that the 20 participants who attended had never done financial management, not because they were unable or unwilling but there had never been any socialization about financial management and the lack of basic knowledge about financial management so that economic problems in finance were always repeated. Therefore, PKM activities regarding financial management are still very important to be carried out with the main target being women / housewives as literacy efforts in financial management so that they are able to distinguish between productive expenditures and consumptive expenditures as financial managers in the family
