    Karena perkembangan pemasaran perguruan tinggi yang semakin pesat pada beberapa tahun terakhir ini, pelayanan pelanggan dan aktifitas pemesaran mendapatkan prioritas yang utama untuk diperhatikan. Perhatian didalam memberikan peningkatan kualitas pelayanan, bahkan sudah menjadikan suatu perhatian yang selalu berlebihan di era tahun 2000 ini. Kegunaan dari penelitian ini adalah menggabungkan antara teori kepustakaan yang relevan dan menghasilkan suatu model penelitian yang lengkap mengenai kualitas pelayanan untuk mendapatkan kepuasan pelanggan. Penelitian ini juga menguji hubungan timbale balik antar persepsi kualitas pelayanan, kepuasan pelanggan dan loyalitas pelanggan melalui suatu survai pertanyaan berskala SERVQUAL yang dikembangkan oleh A. Parasuraman, Valarie A. Zeithaml, andLeonard L. Berry, “ suatu pengertian dan konsepsi model mengenai kualitas pelayanan yang dimaksud yang tersimpul didalamnya untuk penelitian yang selanjutnya.” Di pembahasan penelitian ini, penulis ingin menyajikan suatu system pendekatan untuk meningkatkan kepuasan dan persepsi yang berhubungan dengan pelayanan yang diberikan oleh Universitas Bunda Mulia terhadap calon mahasiswa, para orang tua calon mahasiswa, mahasiswa pindahan dan perguruan tinggi yang lain, dan mahasiswa lainnya. Pada saat yang bersamaan kepentingan dan tujuan departemen yang lain, seperti implementasi dari proseduryang dilakukan terus menerusyang tujuannya membantu meningkatkan program pelayanan yang sedang berlangsung, haruslah diperhatikan pula. Pada penelitian ini, hasil yang mendokumentasikan system kinerja peningkatan kualitas pelayanan untuk mendapatkan kepuasan pelanggan, selanjutnya dilakukan uji coba untuk reability test (dapat dipercaya) dan validity test (kebenaran dan keabsahannya). Oleh karena itu, hasil penelitian ini merupakan hasil yang tepat, sesuai dan benar mengenai hubungan antar kepuasan pelanggan dan persepsi kualita pelayanan yang dapat digunakan baik oleh Universitas Bunda Mulia atau oleh perguruan tinggi yang lain. Onsep dan penemuan implikasi manajerial yang sudah tersimpul didalamnya sebaiknya didiskusikan untuk mendapatkan hasil kerja yang lebih baik ditahun mendatang

    The purpose of this paper is to obtain a better understanding of the relationship among customer satisfaction and customer loyalty to repurchase intention. One of the methods used in this paper is by surveying students (as customers) from 12 departments in Bunda Mulia University (UBM). The students have to fill in the questionnaires related to customer satisfaction, customer loyalty and repurchase intention concepts. A total of 232 students filled in the questionnaires. The results support the conceptual model in demonstrating a strong relationship among customer satisfaction and customer loyalty to repurchase intention. One of the findings shows that the dimension of satisfaction does not directly support repurchase intention. This research adds to the body of knowledge related to customer satisfaction management

    The famous methods to determine and solve transportation problem are the Northwest-Corner Rule/Method and the Stepping-Stone Method. In the Northwest-Corner Rule, the largest possible allocation is made to the cell in the upper left-hand corner of the tableau, followed by allocations to adjacent feasible cells; while the Stepping-Stone Method is an iterative technique for moving from an initial feasible solution to an optimum feasible solution which continues until the optimum solution is reached. However, in some cases, sometimes we have been facing some difficulties to solve transportation problem with these two methods, therefore we introduce the Assignment Method, which is simpler and faster in solving the transportation problem by reducing the numbers (cost) in the table/tableau until a series of zeros is found, or zero opportunity costs, which means that we will reach the optimum cost allocations. Once we reach the optimum cost allocations, the next step is to allocate each source or supply according to some points of demand (destinations). Assignment Method is a specialized form of optimization linear programming model that attempts to assign limited capacity to various demand points in a way that minimizes costs

    The background of this research on Syariah banking is based on the opinion and supposition that the interest given by conventional banking is a usury. As can be seen on the national and regional development on Syariah Banking, it is shown that the public interest in Syariah Banking is very high. This reseacrh is conducted mainly in the city of Pekanbaru on Bank Riau Syariah Pekanbaru Branch. the purpose of this research is to find out the factors often influencing the public interest in saving their money on Bank Riau Syariah. There are primary and secondary data used in this research. The primary data is directly acquired from the main resources through the use of questionairre. The secondary data used in this research is gathered with the help from Bank Riau Syariah Pekanbaru Branch. The secondary data shows the detail on the development on the type of saving and the number of customer of Bank Riau Syariah Pekanbaru Branch, and the organizational structure of said bank. The method used in analysing the data of the research is a descriptive method which is done by following the procedure of solving the problem being investigated and by describing the state of the object of the research at the time of the research, based on the fact and reality. Then, the data collected is organized and arranged in the form of tables to be later elaborated and analyzed. The result of the research shows that the dominant factors in influencing the public interest in saving their money in Bank Riau Syariah Pekanbaru Branch is to avoid the act of committing usury. The other factors are profit and the belief that saving in a Syariah Bank is one form of confirming the Islamic Syariah. Moreover, there are also other factors influencing the public interest in saving in a Syariah Bank, such as accessibility, security, and other non-related factors such as the good service provided by the bank in serving its customer

    Krisis global yang terjadi tahun 2008 membawa dampak pula bagi perekonomian Indonesia. Dampak yang sangat dirasakan khususnya di Indonesia ialah pergerakan nilai mata uang Rupiah terhadap USD sangat fluktuatif dimana nilai tukar Rupiah terhadap USD berada di level 12.900/USD.\ud Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekspektasi tingkat inflasi AS dan ekspektasi tingkat inflasi Indonesia terhadap pergerakan USD atas rupiah dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tingkat suku bunga AS dan tingkat suku bunga Indonesia terhadap pergerakan USD atas rupiah.\ud Alat uji untuk pengolahan data digunakan program SPSS versi 16.00 for windows. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear berganda dan T-Tes serta paritas internasional teori Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) dan International Fisher Effect (IFE).\ud Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekspektasi inflasi AS dan ekspektasi inflasi Indonesia memiliki pengaruh terhadap nilai tukar USD atas rupiah (sesuai teori PPP) dan bahwa suku bunga AS dan suku bunga Indonesia memiliki pengaruh terhadap nilai tukar USD atas rupiah (sesuai teori IFE).\u

    The increasing of private vehicles and public transportation are the main cause of traffic jammed on the road. The use of public vehicles in Pekanbaru city is higher than the transportation provided by urban council through Dinas Lalu Lintas Transportasi Jalan Raya (DLLAJR). The aim of this paper is to do a research on public transportation system (oplet, ojek, city bus, taxi), also, to analyze which transportation system that have been chosen by consumer in Pekanbaru. The result shows that people are prefer to use oplet and city bus as their transportation even though it has high risk of safety and danger to them. Most people in town has their own vehicles so that the use of public transportation only for temporary period and it usually used by students who has low income. This study finally found that the ojek services are the only transportation system that can arrive to the destination in short time and it can access anywhere that cannot be accessed by other transportation system. The low cost of ojek services is the main reason that people choose it as their transportation. It is obviously shows that the use of transportation system in Pekanbaru is bused on effiency and punctuality of the public transportation

    Persoalan kecemasan komunikasi sebagai sebuah kelaziman tidak dapat dielakan oleh siapapun termasuk orang yang bekerja dalam institusi pendidikan, termasuk ketika mahasiswa harus berinteraksi dengan dosen. Kecemasan komunikasi adalah perasaan takut atau tingkat kegelisahan dalam transaksi komunikasi (De Vito). Dalam situasi cemas, individu cenderung melakukan mekanisme pertahanan diri (fight) atau melarikan diri (flight) sebagai upaya bentuk penyesuaian diri pada kecemasan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan survey untuk melihat tingkat dan faktor-faktor yang memicu munculnya kecemasan mahasiswa dalam berkomunikasi dengan dosen.\ud Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa Universitas Bunda Mulia, dengan ukuran sampling menggunakan rumus Torro Yamane sebesar 348. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah menggunakan rentang antar kuartil untuk menyusun kategori tingkat kecemasan dan faktor- faktor yang menimbulkan kecemasan. Dari analisis total skors tersebut diketahui bahwa tingkat kecemasan mahasiswa UBM dalam berkomunikasi dengan dosen adalah cenderung negatif. Sedangkan dari tujuh faktor yang digunakan untuk mengukur kecemasan diketahui dua faktor positif menimbulkan kecemasan yaitu faktor derajat ketidakpastian dan faktor tingkat evaluasi. Selanjutnya lima faktor yang lain, yaitu: keturunan, latar belakang etnik dan budaya, faktor kemampuan dan pengalaman. Faktor kejelasan dan faktor berpikir tentang kegagalan, diketahui negatif.
