Role of Gold Nanoparticles in Drug Delivery
Recent developments in nanotechnology offer a multitude of approaches for investigating and tracking diverse biological and medical processes at the nanoscale. Nanoparticles can deliver medications directly to cancer cells, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases like cancer. Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) are incredibly small gold particles, usually fewer than 100 nanometers in size. They are measured in nanometers. AuNPs are one type of nanoparticle that has shown promise as a medication delivery platform. Their outstanding stability, adjustable chemical and physical characteristics, and biocompatibility make them incredibly beneficial for drug delivery applications. The physical and chemical features of AuNPs' natural characteristics were studied. Localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR), radioactivity, and a high X-ray absorption coefficient are among the physical characteristics of AuNPs that are commonly used in diagnosis and treatment. Compared to many other nanoparticles, AuNPs can create stable chemical interactions with groups that contain S and N. As a result, AuNPs can bind to a broad range of chemical ligands or polymers used for particular purposes. According to recent research, AuNPs can be easily modified to allow the delivery of pharmaceutical drugs directly to the target tissue. This article provides a brief overview of the more effective synthesis method for AuNPs and how they can be utilized as drug carriers to improve precision medicine. 
Application of Trustworthy IoT Technology in Fast Communities: Smart Access Control
As a response to the current development status and existing problems in the ubiquitous and trustworthy aspect of the Internet of Things (IoT) in the construction of smart community systems in Bangladesh, this paper presents the trustworthy technology strategy of the ubiquitous and trustworthy IoT intelligent system. Additionally, it provides a list of the demonstration application practice of trustworthy IoT technology at the level of smart communities through three different application scenario project construction cases. These cases include smart access control, smart buildings' construction, and smart parks' construction. 
FACTS Devices as a Solution to Power Industries Problems: A Review
With an ever-increasing demand for power and establishment of new industries with high load demand, the need to for constant upgrade of powers system network is high. Such transmission networks are prone to external disturbances from loads, environment and other sources which leads to low power quality. Sudden application or removal of large loads. Large loads are known to draw more reactive power than the generated reactive power which lead to reactive power imbalance which can lead to total system collapse. In this paper, a critical review of how Flexible Alternating Current Transmission Systems (FACTS) devices are used to mitigate such issues to ensure power quality is done. Previous work on the integration of different FACTS devices were review to establish the advantage of FACTS devices over conventional solutions to power transmission problems. 
Factors Deterred BA English Major Students’ Academic Achievements at Nangarhar University
Learning academic and professional English is essential for nonnative speakers. However, learning this international language is not as simple as students and teachers think in the EFL context. In Afghanistan, students study English language programs up to undergraduate and graduate levels. They join the programs to overcome written and oral communication problems, comprehend English text, and learn language-related issues such as linguistics, EFL research, and macro skills of the English language. The major purpose of this scientific study is to find the factors that challenge students from achieving academic success in BA English studies at Nangarhar University Moreover, it aims to identify appropriate strategies for implementing creative teaching approaches and their effects on undergraduate students’ academic achievement. This study was conducted through a systematic review of literature and individual interviews. Twenty-four senior and junior students were interviewed about levels of student engagement through semi-structured interviews. The participants pointed out factors such as lack of innovative teaching approaches, shortage of technological tools in the classroom, no or less motivation, outdated teaching materials, lesson extracurricular activities, and students’ weak English background as factors that deter learners from fluent speaking, critical reading, and creative writing. The scientific study found that creative teaching approaches develop critical thinking and help students to become autonomous learners which is important for academic achievement in undergraduate programs. 
Film Representation of Igbo Cultural Widowhood Practices in Anambra State. An Audience Analysis of a Nollywood Movie: Glory of a Widow
This study examines the representation of Igbo cultural widowhood practices in Anambra State through the lens of the Nollywood film "Glory of a Widow". Employing structural functionalist theory and feminist film theory, this qualitative research utilized focus group discussions to gather data from audiences. Findings reveal that Igbo cultural practices surrounding widowhood continue to be prevalent in contemporary society, perpetuating gender inequality and discrimination. The study identifies the need for amendments of existing laws and policies to protect the rights of widows. The film's portrayal of these practices sparks crucial conversations about cultural preservation, gender justice, and the role of the media in shaping societal attitudes. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the complex intersections between culture, gender, and media representation in Igbo society, highlighting the potential for film to inspire social change and promote gender equality. 
Evaluation of the Outcome of the Middle Turbinate Medialization (Fixation to Nasal Septum) by Various Surgical Technique
The primary objectives and essential aspects of ESS are to facilitate the proper drainage and ventilation of the afflicted groups of paranasal sinuses. The size and location of the middle turbinate directly impact the drainage of all paranasal sinuses.
A prospective study has been conducted in the otolaryngology department at Al-Imamain Al-kadhmain teaching hospital from September 2021 to May 2023 on 180 selected patients, divided into three groups; each contains sixty patients with the following specific surgical intervention: group I: medialization of the middle turbinate only, group II: medialization of the middle turbinate with fixation to the nasal septum, and group III: medialization of the middle turbinate with fixation to the nasal septum by trans-septal sutures. Postoperatively, follow-up was done weekly during the 1st month and every 2 weeks during the 2nd month by assessing symptom improvement and nasal endoscopic findings. The findings showed that one hundred (55.6%) patients were males and eighty (44.4%) patients were females. The patients' ages varied from 20 to 48 years (mean ± SD = (33.45 ± 8.95) years). Post-operative improvement of presenting symptoms in order of sequence from higher to lower were as follows: nasal obstructions (74%), nasal discharge (74%), facial pain (70%), smell disorders (61%), and headache (53%).
The current study concluded that the technique of middle turbinate medialization promotes effective drainage and ventilation, allowing for long-term monitoring and post-surgical suction clearing. Although it has its limits, the suturing method of the middle turbinate (conchopexy) is an efficient technique for preventing lateralization of the middle turbinate. This method has demonstrated superior overall outcomes when compared to iatrogenic adhesion (Bolgerization). 
Mining and Medicine in 1872-1954: The Doctors of Waratah Hospital, Tasmania, Part 2
The published clinical case load of the doctors of the Waratah Hospital, Tasmania between 1901 and 1920 is described with emphasis firstly on the accidents occurring in the mines, and the subsequent support of the victims over a twenty year period, then secondly on the infectious diseases in the community in the era before antibiotics and vaccines. 
Suitability Evaluation of Pedons from Some Agricultural Communities on the Niger River Flood Plains in Bayelsa State, Nigeria
Farmers under modern agriculture are expected to have direct or indirect knowledge of soil chemical and physical characteristics as well as their suitability for intended uses. This, however, is lacking in Bayelsa State, hence this study examined the potentials and limitations of some lower Niger River plain soils of southern Nigeria and their suitability for maize production. Based on landform differences, landscape segments were separated into three mapping units per location while profile pits were dug in each unit and morphologically described. Horizon differentiation guided soil sample collection followed by laboratory analysis. Silt loam dominated soil texture while Ca dominated the exchange complex but exchangeable bases concentration was generally low. Organic C, total N and available P concentrations were closely related and low which was attributed to land clearing and frequent bush burning. Excessive rainfall and inadequate length of day were the most limiting factors under climatic factors while temperature and relative humidity were highly suitable. The ELM3 and TFN3 pedons flooded each year by Nun and Forcados Rivers, respectively, were marginally suitable S3f. Texturally, ELM1, ELM2 and TFN1 were highly suitable (S1) while ELM3, TFN2 and TFN3 were moderately suitable (S2). Due to insufficient length of dry days and wetness challenges owing to excessive rainfall, all pedons were placed under actually not suitable but potentially suitable (N1) class. Improvement measures recommended included planting early in the dry spell to avoid excessive wetness and making available more dry days as well as organic matter conservation, avoiding frequent land clearing and bush burning. 
Sustainable Energy Development in Nigeria: Issues, Challenges and Prospects
The country, Nigeria is confronted with myriads of challenges hindering its access to reliable and sustainable power supply in both urban and rural areas. The existing energy infrasructures are incapable of translating the so many Renewable Energy Souces (available in almost every part of the country) to a sustainable energy supply system, capable of bridging the wide power supply-demand gap. This paper proposes the use of solar, biomass and small hydropower technologies for a sustainable energy development in rural and urban areas of the country. This work reviewed the present state of energy in the country, recommended the use of decentralised power system and off-grid /on-grid hybrid power system as a sustainable energy development model for the country. Then, the neccesity for aggressive Renewable Energy Sources integration into the national energy mix through sustainable growth involving decentralised renewable energy system and distributed generation applications. This work will assist power sector stakeholders in making informed decisions towards promotion of green economy and growth of hybrid power system technology in Nigeria. 
Project Management as an Enabler for Efficiency Gains in Private Healthcare: The Brazilian Case
This article explores the impact of leadership and Project Management on the Brazilian Private Healthcare system. It highlights the importance of transformational leadership in engaging, motivating, empowering, delegating, and influencing people to work together and achieve organizational goals. The study uses literature review analysis to investigate the relationship between project leadership and project success, aiming to bridge gaps in the current epistemology and provide insights into the relationship between leadership and project management.
