Student with High-Functioning Autism at Public School – a Case Study
Get PDFArtykuł prezentuje indywidualny przypadek ucznia – dziecka z zespołem Aspergera. Pojęcie to odnosi się zwykle do osób o przeciętnej inteligencji i dobrych umiejętnościach językowych. Zespół Aspergera czy autyzm wysokofunkcjonujący nie jest jednostką diagnostyczną, ale terminem jeszcze używanym przez część lekarzy, psychologów, pedagogów. Obecnie uznaje się, że nie ma praktycznie żadnej różnicy między zespołem Aspergera a autyzmem osób wysokofunkcjonujących i oba terminy mogą być w praktyce klinicznej używane zamiennie. W tekście poruszane są również zagadnienia dotyczące zainteresowań i ograniczeń osób z ZA. The article presents an individual case of a student with Aspergers Syndrome. This term usually refers to people with average intelligence and good language skills. Aspergers Syndrome or Highfunctioning autism is not considered a diagnostic unit but a term used by some doctors, psychologists and educators. Currently, there is practically no difference recognized between Aspergers Syndrome and high-functioning autism, and both terms can be used interchangeably in clinical practice. Number of days with thunderstorm in the area of Bydgoszcz in the years 1971-2010 using the example of the Bydgoszcz-Airport weather station
Get PDFThe paper analyses the occurrence of thunderstorms in Bydgoszcz in the multi-annual period 1971–2010 based on data from the Bydgoszcz-Airport weather station – ref. EPBY according to ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization). The article examines variations in monthly, seasonal and annual mean values of weather elements. The calculation pertaining to selected elements of descriptive statistics involved regression analysis. Based on the linear function the author determines the direction and trends of changes of the analysed elements in time. Analysis of this data leads to the conclusion that the number of thunderstorms in the examined forty-year period declined, but also a decrease in the frequency of this phenomenon was observed in Bydgoszcz. The highest number of storms in the examined multi-year period in the whole year (29) and in the warm half-year (28) was recorded in 1973 and in 1997, and the lowest in 2003 (only 6). The studies indicate a significant downward trend in the number of storms occurring in the multi-annual period 1971-2010

Work is not only a source of income, it is also a value that allows the individual to develop themself. It is worth emphasizing that work does not only produce material goods, but also introduces valuable and intended changes in the environment. Working persons should have a sense of their own dignity or personality, be aware of the responsibility and freedom they have, and be aware of humanity quite often subjected to the test of time in work phenomena. In the final part, I presented the research on whether work is of value for people.Artykuł prezentuje zagadnienie pracy stanowiącej niezwykle ważną wartość w życiu człowieka w etycznym ujęciu. Praca nie jest tylko źródłem osiągania przychodów, to również wartość pozwalająca jednostce na samorozwój. Warto podkreślić, że poprzez pracę wytwarza się nie tylko dobra materialne, ale także wprowadza się wartościowe oraz zamierzone zmiany w otoczeniu. Osoby pracujące powinny mieć poczucie własnej godności czy osobowości, być świadome odpowiedzialności i wolności, którą posiadają oraz zdawać sobie sprawę z człowieczeństwa, dość często poddawanego próbie czasu w procesie pracy. Get PDFIn 1881, Chełmno witnessed a very important ceremony. The 50th anniversary of work was celebrated by the long-time director of the Chełmno gymnasium, Dr. Wojciech Łożyński (1808‒1884). Thanks to his efforts, the gymnasium achieved a very high academic level, becoming a center of Polish culture in the Prussian partition. He led to the construction of a modern school building and renovation of the school church. Knowing seven languages, he studied literature and ancient philosophy. He received an honorary doctorate from the University of Bonn and an honorary citizenship of Chełmno. Apart from the press coverage, the material trace of the jubilee celebrations is the congratulatory diploma given to the jubilarian by the teachers’ college. The certificate was awarded by a teacher in the Cadet Corps in Chełmno Karl Natter. The document is an important historical and iconographic source for the history of the city and education. This diploma was presented by Dr. Jerzy Szews in 1987 at the request of the Łożyński family to the collection of the Chełmno Land Museum in Chełmno

Get PDFThe activity of the Polish national movement before 1920 depended to a large extent on financial situation of the local Polish population. Local entrepreneurs were primarily of German and Jewish descent, supported by the Prussian authorities. The Poles, in their business activities, managed to defend themselves effectively against the Germanization policy of the Prussians. Under the motto “Birds of a feather flock together” they strengthened their holdings and share in the local economy. It was reflected by the growing number of Polish banks and enterprises. Their funds and economic independence from the Prussian State allowed them to effectively participate in the Polish national movement. They also made possible the takeover of Bydgoszcz companies by the Poles before 1920 and active participation in Polonization of the local economy during the transition period of the national identity of Bydgoszcz

Get PDFIn 1888, on the initiative of local residents who had a clear interest in preservation of the history of the city and region as well as collection of memorabilia and artefacts The Historical Society for the Netze District in Bydgoszcz (Historische Gesellschaft für den Netzedistrikt zu Bromberg) was established. Its members included many art enthusiasts, regional historians, and a number of influential people with links to the municipal board. In 1902, the Historical Society as the Historical Department became part of the German Art and Science Society in Bydgoszcz (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Kunst und Wissenschaft in Bromberg) that was founded under the pressure of the provincial authorities. It was established to coordinate educational and cultural activities. The goals of the Historical Society, regardless of structural changes, had remained unchanged. It initiated and later supervised historical studies, systematically acquired historical objects and records related to the past of the city. Another important activity was popularization, which included organization of exhibitions, popular science lectures, sightseeing tours across the region, publishing, running of a small library, and initiatives aimed at commemoration of prominent local residents.

Get PDFOd czasów starożytnych w kulturze europejskiej kształtowanie moralności należało do priorytetowych zadań edukacji szkolnej. W ostatnich dziesięcioleciach realizacja tego zadania zaczęła przybierać postać coraz bardziej zinstytucjonalizowaną – szkolnych lekcji etyki. Jak do tej pory brakuje zgody co do celów i metod uczenia moralności w warunkach szkolnych. Nie wiadomo również, czy owe lekcje wyręczają inne przedmioty szkolne z ich odpowiedzialności za sferę moralną uczniów. Prezentowany artykuł składa się z trzech części. W pierwszej zostanie zrekonstruowana koncepcja nauczania wychowującego, która stanowi centralny i najbardziej znany składnik teorii pedagogicznej Herbarta. Druga część zawiera prezentację koncepcji doradztwa pedagogicznego, której zadaniem według Herbarta jest rozwijanie u wychowanka/ucznia umiejętności sądzenia i działania moralnego. W trzeciej i ostatniej części uwaga autora skupia się na wypracowanym na fundamencie teorii Herbarta modelu kompetencji moralno-etycznej. Model ten umożliwia ustalenie odpowiedzialności lekcji etyki i innych przedmiotów szkolnych w zakresie kształtowania moralności.Shaping of morality has been a priority task of school education from ancient times. In the last decades carrying out this task has taken on an increasingly institutionalized form of autonomous school lessons “in morality” – ethics classes. However, so far there has been no common agreement on the objectives and methods of teaching morality under school conditions. It is also not known yet, whether these lessons relieve other school subjects of the responsibility for shaping the morality of students. This paper consists of three sections. The purpose of the first one is to reconstruct the concept of education through instruction, which was the best-known and paramount part of Herbart’s theory of science of education. The second section contains an outline of the counselling concept, whose aim, according to Herbart, is to develop pupil’s or student’s ability to morally judge and act. The third and last section focuses on the model of a moral and ethical competence, developed on the basis of Herbart’s theories. This model enables determining the responsibility of ethics lessons and other school subjects for shaping morality
