Quantification of Platelet Counts and Growth Factor Profiling (TGF-β1, PDGF-BB, VEGF-A) Across Distinct Canine Platelet Concentrate Preparations
This scientific database compiles quantitative data on platelet concentrations and growth factor levels in various platelet-derived products obtained from healthy Beagle dogs. Specifically, it includes platelet counts (expressed as x10³ platelets/μL) and concentrations of key growth factors—Transforming Growth Factor Beta 1 (TGF-β1), Platelet-Derived Growth Factor BB (PDGF-BB), and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor A (VEGF-A) —expressed in pg/μL. These parameters were measured in baseline whole blood samples and in different platelet concentrates prepared using standardized in-house protocols. The primary aim of this dataset is to compare the content of platelets and growth factors across the different products and basal samples, enabling the analysis of potential correlations between platelet counts and growth factor concentration

Device fabrication
The MATBG devices were fabricated using a cut-and-stack technique. All flakes were first exfoliated on a Si/SiO2 (285 nm) substrate and later picked up using a polycarbonate (PC)/polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) stamp. All of the layers were picked up at a temperature of T ≈ 100 °C. We used an atomic force microscope tip to cut the graphene to avoid strain during the pick-up process. The PC/PDMS stamp first picked up the top graphite layer, the top hBN and the first graphene layer. Before picking up the second graphene layer, we rotated the stage by an angle of θ = 1.1°. Finally, the stamp picked up the bottom hBN and bottom graphite gates. We dropped the finalized stack onto a Si/SiO2 substrate by melting the PC at T ≈ 180 °C. The resulting stack was etched into a Hall bar using a CHF3/O2 plasma and one-dimensional contacts were formed by evaporating Cr (5 nm)/Au (50 nm) (Supplementary Fig. 1b). We etched a narrow channel of width d ≈ 150 nm in the top gate using an O2 plasma. Before etching the top gate, the device was characterized in transport using a four-probe configuration at TL = 35 mK to identify the pair of contacts closest to the magic angle of θ = 1.1°. The junction was made between this pair of contacts.
Transport measurements
Transport studies for the characterization of the two samples were carried out in a dilution refrigerator (BlueFors SD250) with a base temperature of 20 mK and a VTI cryostat (ICEOxford) with a base temperature of 1.55 K. Further transport measurements were performed in situ in the optical cryostat (Attodry 800, base temperature 6 K) used for the optoelectronic measurements. All transport measurements were performed using a standard low-frequency lock-in technique (Stanford Research SR860 amplifiers) with frequency f = 17.177 Hz.

Ambient air temperature exposure and foetal size and growth in three European birth cohorts
Ambient air temperature may affect birth outcomes adversely, but little is known about their impact on foetal growth throughout pregnancy. We evaluated the association between temperature exposure during pregnancy and foetal size and growth in three European birth cohorts. We studied 23,408 pregnant women from the English Born in Bradford cohort, Dutch Generation R Study, and Spanish INMA Project. Using the UrbClimTM model, weekly ambient air temperature exposure at 100x100m resolution at the mothers' residences during pregnancy was calculated. Estimated foetal weight, head circumference, and femur length at mid and late pregnancy and weight, head circumference, and length at birth were converted into standard deviation scores (SDS). Foetal growth from mid to late pregnancy was calculated (grams or centimetres/week). Cohort/region-specific distributed lag non-linear models were combined using a random-effects meta-analysis and results presented in reference to the median percentile of temperature (14 °C). Weekly temperatures ranged from -5.6 (Bradford) to 30.3 °C (INMA-Sabadell). Cold and heat exposure during weeks 1-28 were associated with a smaller and larger head circumference in late pregnancy, respectively (e.g., for 9.5 °C: -1.6 SDS [95 %CI -2.0; -0.4] and for 20.0 °C: 1.8 SDS [0.7; 2.9]). A susceptibility period from weeks 1-7 was identified for cold exposure and a smaller head circumference at late pregnancy. Cold exposure was associated with a slower head circumference growth from mid to late pregnancy (for 5.5 °C: -0.1 cm/week [-0.2; -0.04]), with a susceptibility period from weeks 4-12. No associations that survived multiple testing correction were found for other foetal or any birth outcomes. Cumulative exposure to cold and heat during pregnancy was associated with changes in foetal head circumference throughout gestation, with susceptibility periods for cold during the first pregnancy trimester. No associations were found at birth, suggesting potential recovery. Future research should replicate this study across different climatic regions including varying temperature profiles

Tracing chemical diversity in dissolved organic matter from freshwaters to marine environments
This dataset provides detailed measurements of the chemical composition and proton-binding properties of dissolved organic matter (DOM) collected along the Ebro River continuum, from its headwaters to the Mediterranean Sea. Samples were collected across different seasons to capture spatial and temporal variability. The dataset includes quantified concentrations of low- and high-affinity DOM binding groups (expressed in mmol·mol C⁻¹), estimates of the organic contribution to total alkalinity (μmol binding groups·L⁻¹), and metadata on sampling locations, environmental conditions, and physicochemical parameters.
The data enable exploration of seasonal shifts and spatial gradients in DOM reactivity, with particular attention to the influence of riverine processes, such as groundwater inputs, terrestrial runoff, and in-river degradation. Researchers can use this dataset to examine DOM's role in micronutrient cycling, carbon transport, and buffer capacity in aquatic systems
