AIS maritime traffic data from the Barcelona School of Nautical Studies (FNB-UPC)
This dataset comprises decoded and cleaned Automatic Identification System (AIS) data collected from antennas at the Barcelona School of Nautical Studies (FNB-UPC), part of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. The data is organized by year and month, with CSV files containing information for 1 or 2 days, provided in zipped archives. Collected from public AIS transmissions between 2020 and 2024 (and ongoing), the dataset is intended for lawful purposes such as research, education, and maritime traffic analysis
Replication Data for: Polylactic acid nanoplastics (PLA-NPLs) induce adverse effects on an in vitro model of the human lung epithelium: the Calu-3 air-liquid interface (ALI) barrier.
This dataset includes the images published in the paper "Polylactic Acid Nanoplastics (PLA-NPLs) Induce Adverse Effects on an In Vitro Model of the Human Lung Epithelium: The Calu-3 Air-Liquid Interface (ALI) Barrier."
Specifically, it contains:
TEM images characterizing the Calu-3 barrier establishment. Air liquid Interface lung epithelial images specifying the different observed characteristics.
A SEM image of the PLA nanoparticles used in the study (PH_PLA).
Confocal images illustrating particle internalisation at different time points. 3D images of Calu-3 barriers untreated and treated to PLA-NPLs for 24 h and 2 weeks, respectively. Orthogonal views demonstrating the presence of PLA-NPLs inside the cell cytoplasm. 3D images with cross-sectional views demonstrating the presence of PLA-NPLs in the nuclear compartment. PLA-NPLs, cell nuclei, and ZO-1 junctions are seen in green, blue, and red,
respectively.
Confocal images of immunostaining of tight junctions after PLA treatment. Images of untreated, and 24 hours and 2 weeks treated Calu-3 barriers with 2.5 µg/cm2 PLA-NPLs. In blue the cell nuclei and in red the tight junction ZO-1.
Inverted light microscopy images of Calu-3 barriers stained with Alcian Blue and hematoxylin-eosin, highlighting mucus, cellular nuclei, and cytoplasm.</ul

Replication Data for: "Do giving voice and social information help in revising a misconception about rent-control?"
This dataset contains the replication package for the article "Do giving voice and social information help in revising a misconception about rent-control?"
Data were collected through a randomized experimental trial to test the effectiveness of different communication formats in debunking a misconception about rent controls. Three communication formats were tested against a benchmark condition, a refutational video (RV): a refutational video with voice (RVV), a refutational video with voice and social information type 1 (RVVS1), a refutational video with voice and social information type 2 (RVVS2)
Replication Data for: Optimized alveolar epithelial cell model for chronic Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus coinfections
Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a relevant pathogen in chronic respiratory infections, which are usually associated with biofilm formation, complicating in vitro modeling and effective treatment strategies. While P. aeruginosa can coexist with several microorganisms, its association with Staphylococcus aureus is widespread in cystic fibrosis (CF) patients and other bronchiectasis. Finding a reliable and straightforward in vitro model to study long-term P. aeruginosa infections is extremely hard due to the secretion of highly virulent toxins that compromise the model within less than 10 h. Several optimizations, including the use of bovine serum albumin (BSA) and extracellular matrix proteins, led to enhanced A549 cell viability up to 30 h post-infection. Within this time frame, we developed P. aeruginosa biofilms, explored host-pathogen interactions, and delved deeper into the relationship between P. aeruginosa and S. aureus. Additionally, ciprofloxacin treatment was evaluated, revealing changes and differences in antibiotic susceptibility and underlying significant differences between bacterial strains
Determination of benzothiazoles, benzotriazoles and benzenesulfonamides in fish
Validation parameters that include instrumental validation (linear range and determination coefficient) and method validation (apparent recoveries and method of quantification and detection) for the determination of benzothiazoles, benzotriazoles and benzenesulfonamides in seafood using QuEChERs followed by gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometr
Replication data for "BronchoPose: an analysis of data and model configuration for vision-based bronchoscopy pose estimation"
DESCRIPTION:
BronchoPose dataset: a bronchoscopy navigation synthetic dataset based on real anatomies to enable fair comparison among methods.
The presented database is composed by trajectories across airways extracted from Computerized Tomography (CT) scans.
The anatomy of airways was extracted using a self-developed segmentation method. The trajectories of the database include the navigation
path (spatial coordinates), the camera pose, and the simulated images of the virtual bronchoscopy. Virtual airways models are simulated using our own
platform developed in C++ and VTK.
From the virtual models, bronchoscope trajectories are simulated from the trachea entrance up until the 4 levels and cover the upper-right (ur),
lower-right (br), upper-left (ul), and lower-left (bl) lobes. Trajectories are generated from the central navigation path through the luminal
central line traversed using the arch-length parameter. Different increments in this parameter allow the simulation of varying velocities across the path.
For each central path, different variations, both, in position and camera orientation are generated. Finally, paths with neighboring variations
are randomly combined along the navigation arc-length parameter in order to simulate realistic trajectories. In total, our dataset has 876 trajectories per
patient and lobe, amounting to a total of 842,712 frames.

Amodal_Fruit_Sizing
We provide a deep-learning method to better estimate the size of partially occluded apples. The method is based on ORCNN (https://github.com/waiyulam/ORCNN) and sizecnn (https://git.wur.nl/blok012/sizecnn), which extended Mask R-CNN network to simultaneously perform modal and amodal instance segmentation. The amodal mask is used to estimate the fruit diameter in pixels, while the modal mask is used to measure in the depth map the distance between the detected fruit and the camera and calculate the fruit diameter in mm by applying the pinhole camera model
