The Gel Formulation of Clitoria ternatea L. Flower Extract on Total Flavonoid Content
Clitoria ternatea L. or telang flower is widely used as a natural food coloring, herbal tea and also as an additional active ingredient in pharmacological products. C. ternatea contains antioxidants are good for protecting cells from free radicals, maintaining the immune system, anti-aging and good for skin health. The aim of this research was to determine the gel formulation of C. ternatea flower extract regarding its total flavonoid content. The formulation results have gone through physical quality tests and total flavonoid tests. Physical quality test parameters include organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH test, spreadability test, hedonic test, moisture test, and irritation test. The high extract content will increase the flavonoid content in the gel formulation, and it also make the color of the preparation more intense (purplish blue), making it less preferred by users. Therefore, from the hedonic test results, it is known that is preferred by users is with a concentration of C. ternatea condensed extract of 1%. The last formulation showed that the total flavonoid content of C. ternatea gel formulation had a total flavonoid content of 63.21 ug/g using UV-Vis spectrophotometry. This flavonoid content indicates that the gel formulation contains antioxidants are good for skin health

The role of social disparity, religiosity, and technology adoption in shaping infaq intention in Indonesia
This study examines the influence of social disparity and asymmetric information on individuals’ intention to give infaq in Indonesia. The research aims to understand how socioeconomic status, religiosity, empathy, residential environment, and technology adoption shape infaq behavior in a digital context. Using a quantitative approach with multiple regression analysis on survey data, the study finds that income level, religiosity, and technology adoption significantly affect infaq intention, while cultural norms, empathy, and residential environment show no direct impact. Moreover, technology adoption mediates the relationship between residential environment and infaq intention, highlighting the growing importance of digital facilitation in charitable giving. These findings contribute to Islamic behavioral economics by revealing that infaq motivation is increasingly driven by internal religiosity and technological accessibility rather than traditional social influences. The study provides practical implications for policymakers and Islamic financial institutions to strengthen digital infrastructure, promote online infaq platforms, and enhance financial literacy to foster sustainable philanthropic participation
Evolving Digital Consumption Behavior of Generation Z Muslim Consumers in the Halal Cosmetics Market
The growing awareness of halal lifestyles has transformed halal cosmetics in Indonesia from a mere trend into a daily necessity. Despite increasing demand, limited studies have explored the behavioral drivers influencing Generation Z Muslim consumers' online purchasing decisions for halal cosmetic products. This study aims to identify and analyze the relationships among key antecedents—religious commitment, halal marketing, halal certification, and celebrity endorsement—and determine which factor most strongly influences purchasing behavior. Data were collected through a standardized questionnaire distributed to 280 female Generation Z Muslim respondents across Indonesia. The relationships and hypotheses were tested using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that religious commitment, halal marketing, and halal certification have a significant influence on online purchase decisions, while celebrity endorsement has a minimal impact. These findings highlight the growing perception of halal as both a religious obligation and a trusted quality assurance for beauty products. The study contributes to a deeper understanding of digital consumer behavior in the halal industry, providing practical insights for marketers and policymakers seeking to strengthen halal brand positioning
Exploring Foreign Muslim Tourist Preferences in Halal Tourism: A Study of Indonesia’s Halal Market
This study investigates the preferences of foreign Muslim tourists in Indonesia's halal tourism sector, with a particular focus on their expectations regarding halal accommodation, products, destinations, and regulations. This study aims to identify deficiencies in policy implementation, infrastructure development, and international marketing that impede Indonesia's potential as a prominent global halal tourism destination. A qualitative research methodology was employed, incorporating interviews and focus group discussions with seven stakeholders: religious scholars, tourism operators, business owners, and foreign Muslim tourists. Data were analyzed using NVivo 12 and Atlas 7 software to extract key themes and insights. The findings revealed significant inconsistencies in halal certification, infrastructure, and international marketing strategies. Foreign Muslim tourists prioritize halal-certified services, cultural authenticity, and inclusivity. However, the inadequate implementation of halal standards, limited halal-friendly infrastructure, and ineffective international promotion efforts constrain Indonesia's capacity to attract more Muslim travelers. Policy recommendations include the enhancement and standardization of halal certification processes, improvement of halal-friendly infrastructure, and implementation of targeted international marketing campaigns. Strategies to promote inclusivity among non-Muslim tourists have also been proposed to support sustainable growth. This study offers novel perspectives by integrating cultural identity, contemporary tourism approaches, and global expectations. It examines the intersection of faith-based travel and accessibility and presents practical suggestions for establishing Indonesia as a leading destination for halal tourism
Student Readiness of Islamic Elementary Education for Problem-Based Flipped Learning Model in Higher Education
Innovating higher education teaching models is essential to meet the learning challenges of the 21st century. This research discusses the students' readiness and needs for the development and utilisation of the Problem-Based Flipped Learning (PBFL) model in the Islamic Elementary Education Department (PGMI) at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Using a quantitative descriptive survey method with 216 respondents from the 2022 and 2023 cohorts, the research focused on technological readiness, preference for learning styles, and perception toward PBFL. Findings indicated that the device ownership and preference of learning styles were facial in relation to visual/ self-directed, which suggested the practicality of the PBFL application. There was a moderate positive correlation between the availability of devices and readiness towards PBFL; however, limited access to the internet continues to be an obstacle. The current work adds value by incorporating Islamic principles in the design of PBFL, thereby providing a culturally sensitive framework for Islamic education. Furthermore, implementation options are developed around offline materials, student orientation programs, and institutional policies. These results could serve as a foundation for developing adaptive and creative teacher education programs that focus on educational and religious competencies, ultimately paving the way for the integration of PBFL into the PGMI curriculum in the long term
Development of a Basic Literacy-Based Flipbook to Improve Reading Comprehension of Narrative Texts in Higher Grades
This study addresses the critical challenge of low reading comprehension among elementary school students by developing and evaluating a Basic Literacy-Based Flipbook. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) methodology based on the modified Borg and Gall model, the study aimed to design, validate, and test the effectiveness of a basic literacy-based flipbook integrating local Semarang culture. The research was conducted in two phases: a small-scale test with six students at Pakintelan 01 Public Elementary School and a large-scale test with 28 students at Bringin 1 Public Elementary School, Semarang. The flipbook was designed based on the results of the analysis of potential and identifying problems, and was validated by expert validators. The media expert rated the product with an initial feasibility score of 84.72%, which increased to 91.66% after revision, while the material expert gave it a 90% score, confirming the product's very feasible criteria. In the effectiveness test, the small-scale group's average pre-test score of 56 increased to 82 in the post-test, and the large-scale group's pre-test average of 57.6 rose to 83.5. N-gain scores of 62.3% for the small scale and 61% for the large scale indicate that the media is "quite effective". These findings suggest that the Basic Literacy-Based Flipbook is not only a highly feasible and effective tool for improving reading comprehension but also a promising medium for fostering broader literacy, critical thinking, and collaborative skills in elementary education
Mendekonstruksi peran pustakawan dalam pemanfaatan kecerdasan buatan di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi
Purpose. This study investigates the deconstruction of the librarian’s role in the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) at university libraries, specifically at Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP), through Jacques Derrida’s social theory. Librarians are expected to act as key connectors between users and credible information. With the increasing presence of AI in libraries, their role becomes even more critical in enhancing the quality and accessibility of information services.
Methodology. This research employs a qualitative approach using the literature study method, with data collection conducted through reference sources, reading, note-taking, and processing research materials
Results and discussion. At the UNP Library, the librarian’s role is shifting due to digitalization and AI development. Although facilities like Digilib UNP and SIDARING have been introduced, they are not yet fully optimized. The opening of the new Information and Library Center building provides opportunities for innovation, but a deconstruction of traditional librarian roles is needed. Librarians should not be limited to administrative tasks but encouraged to implement AI-based services such as virtual library tours, chatbots, and speech-to-text systems. Domestic and international case studies confirm that AI integration enhances user engagement and service delivery, requiring librarians to be adaptive, creative, and technologically competent.
Conclusions. Applying Derrida’s deconstruction theory, the librarian’s role at UNP must be redefined to meet digital-era demands. Main challenges include resistance to change and lack of technical skills. With a transformative approach, librarians can collaborate and innovate using AI, making library services more inclusive, dynamic, and relevant for modern academic needs
Strategi meningkatkan akses dan layanan inklusif bagi pengguna disabilitas di perpustakaan
Purpose. This study analyses strategies, challenges, and obstacles in developing accessibility and services for visitors with disabilities at the Jakarta-Cikini Library.
Methodology. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using observations, interviews, and documentation. Informants were selected through purposive sampling and included staff from the service section and the Inclusion Room, as they are directly responsible for managing library services and inclusive facilities. Managing library services and the management of the Inclusion Room.
Results and discussion. The findings show that the library implements several strategies to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. These include organising disability-related activities during specific events, promoting services through word-of-mouth and outreach to special education institutions, and utilising social media campaigns. The library also collaborates with disability organisations to procure assistive devices, develop accessible collections, and enhance staff competence. A disability-friendly environment has also been established within the library. However, several challenges remain, including limited innovation in promotional efforts, a shortage of competent human resources, and restricted space, tools, and collections. The library further encounters obstacles related to internal and external regulations affecting collaboration and building maintenance, as well as inadequate public facilities that hinder mobility for people with disabilities.
Conclusions. The Jakarta-Cikini Library has undertaken multiple efforts to improve inclusive services through facility provision, staff capacity-building, targeted promotion, and partnerships with disability organisations, technology companies, and educational institutions. However, administrative barriers, limited resources, and insufficient supporting infrastructure remain significant obstacles to fully realising an accessible and inclusive library environment
Implementation of the Think Pair Share Model in Increasing Awareness of Diversity in Q.S. Al-Ḥujurāt/49:13
The low level of students' understanding of the values of diversity in Islamic teachings, particularly in Q.S. Al-Hujurāt/49:13, encourages the need for learning strategies that can facilitate conceptual understanding while strengthening social attitudes. This study aims to analyze efforts to improve the understanding of fourth-grade students of Sumurboto Public Elementary School through the implementation of the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) cooperative learning model. This study uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach which is implemented in three cycles, each including the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 26 students (9 boys and 17 girls). Data collection was carried out through learning outcome tests, participatory observations, and interviews, with qualitative and quantitative descriptive data analysis. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' understanding: the percentage of learning completion increased from 55% (cycle I), 75% (cycle II), to 90% in cycle III. The average score also increased from 74 on the pre-test to 88 on the post-test. Furthermore, students' social interactions and engagement in discussions increased, indicating that TPS was effective in fostering collaboration and connecting diversity values to real-life contexts. These findings provide an original contribution to the application of cooperative models for teaching Islamic values in elementary schools, while also enriching inclusive and contextual pedagogical practice
