Empowerment Based on Social Solidarity in the Management System of Sharia Homestay by the Muslim Community in Dieng Kulon Village
The tourism sector is one of the shortcuts to stimulate the economic development of a community. However, the significant growth potential is also accompanied by various risks, including negative impacts on social, cultural, and even economic aspects. This prompted the community in Dieng Kulon village to adopt a different approach in response to the rapid tourism development in the Dieng Plateau. Using a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach, this article aims to explore how social solidarity-based empowerment of the Muslim community is implemented in the management system of Sharia homestay in Dieng Kulon village. The findings of this study indicate that social solidarity-based empowerment in the management system of Sharia homestay can be successful because the community possesses social capital in the form of land assets, as well as social solidarity in the form of trust, mutual assistance, and mutually beneficial cooperation. Furthermore, the social solidarity is derived from two factors: genetic, as most of the Dieng Kulon community is still bound by kinship ties (family); and even if not through kinship, there is a sense of shared identity as natives of Dieng Kulon. These factors bind the community of Sharia homestay entrepreneurs in Dieng Kulon to remain committed to achieving shared welfare while upholding Islamic values, norms, and teachings

The Failure of the ‘Playing Victim’ Strategy in Gaining Support: A Study of the 2024 Presidential Election in Indonesia
This article explains the depictions of candidate figures in the 2024 presidential election. The aim of this study is to find out how to portray presidential candidates as victims who are persecuted by the cruelty of the authorities who side with the candidate team of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka. The important question raised in this research is why the scenario of becoming a victim needs to be carried out. The main reason is because the team of Anis Rasyid Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar, as well as Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfudz MD did not receive support from President Jokowi. So, to get help from the voters, these two teams created a scenario of becoming victims, in order to get electoral support. In this research, we chose to use a qualitative method with a case study approach with the aim of being able to see and hear more closely the various election experiences in Indonesia, especially after the collapse of the New Order regime. The focus of the study is directed at constructing how to gain electoral support in the face of non-neutrality of government officials, politicization of social assistance, engineering of legal rules, and politicization in other forms which result in creating a backlash to gain sympathy from voters in the election. This article specifically discusses the dynamics of the 2024 presidential election in Indonesia
The relationship between work-life conflict, workforce agility, and subjective well-being among remote employees: The underlying mechanism of job stress
While remote working conditions became more prominent post COVID-19, they have influenced a shift in the subjective well-being (SWB) of remote employees. The impact of the associated job stress has been underexplored in Indonesia. Drawing on the job demands-resources model, this research investigates the underlying mechanisms of job stress in explaining the relationships between work-life conflict, workforce agility, and SWB among remote employees. A total of 350 permanent employees who work fulltime remotely in several organization in Indonesia (65.7% women, M-age = 26.19 years; SD = 3.66) participated in the study. Data were collected using scales measuring work-life conflict, workforce agility, SWB and job stress, distributed online via Google Forms. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) techniques with the IBM SPSS AMOS program. The results showed that work-life conflict and workforce agility were associated with subjective well-being ( β = -.32 and .79, p < .001; respectively). Furthermore, job stress fully explains the relationship between work-life conflict and subjective well-being (CI -.46 – -.12) and partially explains the association between workforce agility and subjective well-being (CI .62 – .87). The findings have implications for how organizations and counsellors can assist remote employees in enhancing their well-being by managing their stress, promoting workforce agility, and overcoming work-life conflicts
Implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in Elementary Schools
This study investigates the existing gap in research concerning the implementation of the Project for Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile (P5) in elementary schools. The primary goal is to analyze how P5 is executed and assess its effectiveness in promoting character development among students. Additionally, the research aims to identify the factors that support and the challenges faced in implementing P5 within educational settings. This qualitative research included seven subjects: a school principal, a curriculum officer, two project teachers, two students, and one guardian. The study utilizes Robert K. Yin's case study methodology and focuses on a single-case approach. Data were gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation. The analysis employed Miles and Huberman's interactive model, encompassing data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that implementing P5 significantly contributes to students' ability to incorporate the Pancasila Student Profile into their daily lives. The active involvement of teachers, students, parents, and the broader community is critical to achieving this goal. The identified characteristics associated with P5 include faith, dedication to God, moral integrity, teamwork, global inclusivity, and innovation. The successful implementation of P5 is contingent upon the proactive engagement of teachers, support from parents, availability of adequate facilities, and effective leadership from the principal. However, the study also identifies several challenges, including time constraints, diverse student characteristics, the integration of technology, and occasional resistance from parents. By addressing these challenges, educational institutions can enhance the implementation of P5, thereby facilitating the internalization of Pancasila values in students' educational experiences and daily interactions
Developing Gamification Media-Based on RADEC Model Using Genially to Enhance Elementary Students Reading Comprehension of Narrative Texts
This study aimed to create gamified learning media based on the RADEC model, using Genially to boost fifth-grade students' reading comprehension of narrative texts. Following a Research and Development (R&D) approach within the ADDIE framework, the research adhered to a structured process: analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. The analysis phase unveiled key challenges, such as students' difficulties in identifying main ideas and their lack of engagement with narrative texts, highlighting the necessity for innovative, technology-driven learning tools. In the design phase, engaging gamified media rooted in the RADEC model was crafted on Genially.com, incorporating interactive and visually appealing activities aligned with the RADEC steps (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create). The development phase involved expert and educator reviews of the media, which yielded a feasibility rating exceeding 90% after refinements were made based on their feedback. During the implementation phase, both small- and large-group trials were conducted, leading to significant improvements in reading comprehension. Pretest-posttest comparisons, bolstered by N-Gain scores, classified the media as "quite effective," with paired sample t-tests confirming statistically significant progress. The study also highlighted high satisfaction levels among teachers and students, who lauded the media for its engaging and effective approach to enhancing comprehension. Ultimately, the study concluded that gamified media, when combined with the RADEC model, effectively boosts cognitive and motivational outcomes, demonstrating its value in real-world classrooms. While the research centered on narrative texts, it emphasizes the potential of interactive technology to cultivate meaningful and enjoyable learning experiences. Future studies should further explore this approach with various text types to enhance digital literacy in 21st-century education
