The Influence of the Problem Based Learning Model Assisted by PhET Simulation on Students' Learning Outcomes in Parabolic Motion Material
This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by PhET Simulation on students' learning outcomes in parabolic motion material in Grade XI-Physics at SMA Negeri 1 Suwawa. This research is experimental with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sampling technique used in this study is total sampling. The population includes all Grade XI students majoring in Physics at SMA Negeri 1 Suwawa for the 2024/2025 academic year, consisting of three classes. The sample includes the entire population: Class XI A as the experimental class, Class XI C as the first replication class, and Class XI B as the second replication class, determined randomly through a lottery method. The data collection technique was conducted using a test in the form of 10 essay questions that had been validated by expert lecturers. The data obtained from the tests were analyzed using statistical tests, including the Liliefors normality test, hypothesis testing, and N-gain analysis. Based on the research results, the average posttest scores were 84.3 for the experimental class, 79.7 for the first replication class, and 82.8 for the second replication class. The hypothesis test results showed that the average scores of all sample classes were higher than the minimum passing score (KKM), which is 70. Based on the analysis of the course average normalized gain, the experimental class achieved 0.78, the first replication class 0.72, and the second replication class 0.75, indicating a high category for all sample classes. Thus, the use of the PBL model assisted by PhET Simulation significantly affects high school students' learning outcomes in parabolic motion material
Integrating Astronomical Observations and Islamic Law: The Case of Sunrise and the Ishrāq Prayer Time
This study discusses determining the initial time for the Ishrāq prayer based on a combination of classical Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) and contemporary astronomical approaches. Traditionally, the time for Ishrāq is associated with the sun having risen to the height of one spear-length after sunrise, yet no standardized astronomical measurement exists for this term. This research employs a multidisciplinary qualitative method, utilizing library research, analysis of fiqh-based evidence, and astronomical calculation simulations (ḥisāb). The findings show that one spear-length can be converted to a solar altitude of approximately 3°30’ to 5°, or around 10–20 minutes after shurūq (sunrise). A case study conducted in Surakarta indicates that the ideal time for Ishrāq prayer on July 20, 2025, is 06:10 AM (GMT +7). In conclusion, determining the time of Ishrāq requires an astronomically-based formula aligned with shar‘i principles and standardization in digital applications to ensure valid and accurate worship
Comparing Task-Based and Project-Based Learning to Enhance Student Engagement in Elementary Social Science Classrooms
This study aims to investigate the varied effects of TBL and PjBL on engagement in primary social science classrooms, which are conducted in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Both are student-centered approaches and both are generally effective at the elementary level; however, there is a dearth of research comparing the effects of these two methods on students' cognitive, affective, and behavioral engagement in this specific classroom context. A qualitative research design was used for the study, and data were gathered through semi-structured interviews with eight teachers and observations in five Class Four Social Studies sections. The information gathered was thematically analyzed in relation to the emerging patterns of participation connected to TBL and PjBL. The findings suggest TBL promotes on-task behaviour with short-term task engagement, contributing to enhanced content knowledge and increased classroom compliance. On the contrary, PjBL supports deeper and longer engagement by students in that they get to be involved cognitively, affectively, and behaviorally in real tasks and working together. However, the autonomy that is a key component of PjBL brings along with it the need for teachers to provide guidance to students, who are concerned with their study time and study focus, for example. This result suggests that a blended approach, combining the structured framework of team-based TBL with directional creativity from the PjBL, may effectively cater to individual differences in learning styles. The findings from this study highlight the importance of a blend of both methods and offering teachers professional development that will equip them to use these hybrid designs effectively

Crisis Management in Islamic Boarding Schools: Radicalism Issues and Negative Perceptions
Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in Indonesia are pivotal in shaping character and promoting religious moderation but face challenges such as radicalism, negative perceptions, and communication conflicts. These issues can lead to crises including social tension, degraded image, internal disintegration, and threats to sustainability. This study investigates the crisis management strategies of pesantren, focusing on factors enabling and hindering success. The research employs a qualitative approach, using an interpretive paradigm to conduct in-depth interviews with 25 informants from four pesantren in East Java, supported by direct observation and document analysis. Thematic analysis reveals that effective crisis management hinges on communication readiness, fostering tolerance and moderation, and strategic collaboration with external entities like security forces and community leaders. Pesantren that swiftly respond and cultivate positive narratives through strategic communication, underpinned by a strong internal culture, better mitigate radicalism's effects and enhance their moderate image. These insights underscore the necessity of a holistic crisis management strategy to ensure the stability and sustainability of pesantren in society
Strategi pelestarian naskah kuno di Indonesia dalam tinjauan literatur sistematis
Purpose. This study aims to examine the preservation of ancient manuscripts in Indonesia through a systematic review of academic literature over the past decade. These manuscripts, which hold historical, cultural, and educational significance, face growing threats due to climate change, physical degradation, and limited public awareness.
Methodology. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this study analysed 30 peer-reviewed articles published between 2010 and 2023. Articles were selected from open-access databases (Google Scholar, ResearchGate, and Garuda) using specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. The PRISMA flow diagram guided the selection process, and thematic analysis was used to synthesize the findings.
Results and discussion. Findings indicate that manuscript preservation in Indonesia follows two major approaches: physical conservation (e.g., fumigation, environmental control) and digital preservation (e.g., high-resolution scanning, metadata development). While digitalization enhances access and reduces handling-related damage, it is hindered by outdated file formats, limited infrastructure, lack of skilled personnel, and legal uncertainties. Community-based efforts, cultural values, and institutional collaborations (such as those in Rekso Pustaka and Ranggawarsita Museum) demonstrate practical and adaptive models for sustainable preservation.
Conclusions. The study recommends integrating physical and digital methods in a balanced and context-sensitive strategy. It emphasizes the importance of strengthening institutional capacity, expanding professional training, encouraging local participation, and ensuring policy support to sustain long-term preservation efforts across diverse cultural settings
Analysis of Pilgrims' Satisfaction with Umrah Registration Services at PT. Dream Tour & Travel, West Sumatra Branch
Service is an invisible service activity that can only be felt by someone. Good service will evoke various assumptions and even perceptions, which will trigger perceived satisfaction. Switching to services, there is no doubt when discussing Hajj and Umrah travel companies. Currently, numerous enthusiasts are eager to perform these services, and companies are competing to provide excellent service to each prospective pilgrim. This study aims to analyze the effect of registration services, which are only seen from two sides, namely (Tangible) physical evidence and (reliability) employee reliability, on the level of registration satisfaction. The method used in this research is field research with a quantitative approach. The study used samples from 47 individuals out of a total congregation of 90 people. The result obtained proves that there is a significant effect on Umrah registration by 84,4% on the physical evidence dimensional and 95% on the reliability dimension, because the congregation’s satisfaction score is in the range of 80-100, which means that the congregation can be said to be satisfied with the service provided by employees to the congregation. These findings convince prospective pilgrims in choosing Hajj and Umrah travel companies for the sake of convenience during the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage
Persuasive Da'wah Approach from the Perspective of the Qur'an
Persuasive da’wah is an approach that emphasizes gentleness, wisdom, and exemplary conduct in conveying Islamic teachings. This paper aims to explore the concept, foundation, and implementation of persuasive da’wah from the perspective of the Qur’an. This study employs a library research method with a qualitative-descriptive approach, which involves tracing, collecting, and analyzing primary sources in the form of verses from the Al-Qur’an and scholarly interpretations (tafsir), as well as secondary sources in the form of literature on the science of da'wah and Islamic communication. This paper examines Qur’anic verses that serve as the basis for persuasive da’wah, including Surah An-Nahl (16:125), Ali Imran (3:159), and Thaha (20:43–44). The findings reveal that the Qur’an emphasizes that da’wah should be carried out with hikmah (wisdom), mau‘izhah hasanah (good advice), and mujādalah billatī hiya ahsan (dialogue in the best manner). These principles affirm that da’wah is not merely the transmission of religious messages but a process of touching hearts and fostering spiritual awareness without coercion. In the context of modern society, persuasive da’wah is increasingly relevant as it promotes humanistic, dialogical, and contextual communication. Through this approach, da’wah serves not only as a means of spreading Islamic teachings but also as a medium for nurturing moral, social, and humanitarian values in accordance with the spirit of Islam as rahmatan lil ‘alamin (a mercy to all creation)
Evaluating Global Cybersecurity Laws: Efectiveness of Legal Frameworks and Enforcement Mecanism in the Digital Age
The background of this article highlights the escalating global cybersecurity threats in the digital era and underscores the urgent need to strengthen law enforcement through public–private partnerships (PPPs), as traditional legal frameworks struggle to address the complex and transnational nature of cybercrime effectively. This study examines the role of PPPs in enhancing cyber law enforcement across various legal systems. Using a systematic literature review methodology, the research evaluates the effectiveness of collaborative initiatives between the public and private sectors in combating cyber threats. The findings reveal that PPPs have significant potential to strengthen law enforcement efforts through technological innovation, information sharing, and operational cooperation. However, persistent challenges—such as limited transparency, trust deficits, and conflicting institutional interests—remain substantial barriers to their success. The study recommends that policymakers enhance legal frameworks, promote transparency, and develop capacity-building initiatives through joint training programs. Moreover, the research identifies critical gaps in the existing literature, emphasizing the need for more comprehensive empirical studies to better understand and address the complexities of cyber law enforcement through PPPs in the digital age.
