Get PDFThe Maarak tambun process aims to gather from the family and niniak mamak to find an agreement in the implementation of the batagak house. Maarak Tambun has two kinds of rituals, namely, Mandaghai (bloody), and mamujo (worshipping). The methods that were born in the concept of this manyeso dance work include observation, data processing, literature study, selection of dance supporters, exploration, movement arrangement, improvisation, and evaluation. The form in the manyeso dance has three parts, the first part describes the pain experienced by all family members and does not go away, the second part is a problem experienced by a person so that he becomes limping when carrying it. In this section, the property of the fabric is described as a problem that binds the dancer's body parts. The conflict in this work is the struggle for cloth with the intention that the problems that occur are like a tug of war that is being felt by someone. The third part of the problem can be solved if we draw closer to Allah
IDENTITAS KULTURAL: DUA VERSI TARI PIRING MINANGKABAU DI SUMATERA BARAT
Get PDFThis research examines two versions of Tari Piring (Plate Dance), they are Bamain Piriang (Playing with Plates) and Tari Piring that has synergy in creating the identity of Minangkabau in continuously. Bamain Piriang is commonly known as pamenan (playing) that had been exist in most of every nagari (places) and belongs to/or played by men in Minangkabau. The movements are originally from pancak and played at the open place without roof called sasaran. Thus, this pamenan is known as traditional dance of Minangkabau. Meanwhile, Tari Piring is the re- invention of pancak and bamain piriang (playing with plates) that being turned into gender issues. Nowadays, Tari Piring is being dominated by women and played on modern stages.The cultural characteristics of identity that is manifested in symbolically in bamain piriang and Tari Piring are the movements, language, music, and costumes. The symbols are signified as the platform of the cultural expression that is being used for maintaining the identity of Minangkabau. Anya Peterson and Chris Barker were stated that the existence of dance among the society signify the identity and the signs of movements, language, music, and costumes that are expressed through various representations that is being interpreted by people or its performers. The main ideas from both experts are used as analytical tools to examines the signs in Bamain Piriang and Tari Piring that expressing the identity of Minangkabau. Therefore, in order to obtain the details of the data, qualitative methodology is being used by using the technique of collecting of the data such as observations, interviews, and documentations. For collecting the data, the equipment that need to be used are video, camera, and notebook. Meskipun Sungai Tanang merupakan desa wisata, saat ini masih belum ada produk cenderamata yang unik dan khas dari daerah tersebut. Dengan potensi wisata yang besar dan dukungan berkelanjutan dari berbagai pihak, masyarakat Nagari Sungai Tanang antusias dalam mempersiapkan infrastruktur pendukung. Namun, hingga saat ini, belum ada inisiatif untuk menyediakan cenderamata bagi wisatawan, terutama karena keterbatasan keahlian dan sumber daya anggota masyarakat.Oleh karena itu, diadakanlah kegiatan pelatihan ini sebagai upaya meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat dengan memanfaatkan keahlian merajut—suatu teknik yang dapat dilakukan kapan saja dan di mana saja tanpa membutuhkan peralatan mahal. Produk-produk kerajinan yang dihasilkan diharapkan dapat menjadi souvenir menarik untuk wisatawan, sekaligus mendukung program pemerintah dalam penggunaan masker.Dengan pelatihan ini, diharapkan ibu-ibu PKK Nagari Sungai Tanang menjadi terdorong untuk berkreativitas dan menghasilkan cenderamata khas yang dapat mendukung peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat. Lebih lanjut, teknik rajut memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan menjadi berbagai macam produk lainnya, tergantung pada kreativitas pembuatnya. Pelatihan ini merupakan langkah strategis agar masyarakat Sungai Tanang dapat memproduksi dan memasarkan kerajinan tangan mereka sendiri

No full textReasearch for analyze meaning of Indonesia Halal Industry Awards (IHYA) logo using the semiotic theory of Charles Sanders Peirce and Roland Barthes, to see how the semiotic elements in the logo represent halal industry, on the views of halal industry players in Padang Panjang city. IHYA logo carries halal value by redefining the meaning. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods, using visual perception theory, Peirce's and Barthes’ semiotics. With visuals that redefine the meaning of halal, it produces the perception of halal industry players in the city of Padang Panjang which causes prejudice against the IHYA logo, because of the lingering old ethics about the iconic halal identity. So the analytical approach of Peirce's semiotic theory that reveals signs, objects, interpretants with further meanings of Barthes' semiotic theory in the meaning of the level as an effort to clarify the true meaning of the IHYA logo
