Utilization Of Surian Wood Shavings Waste Extract on Prima Mori Cotton Dyeing Results with Tunjung Mordant
Get PDFThis research is motivated as an effort made to obtain environmentally friendly textile dyes by utilizing surian wood shavings waste extract. The purpose of this study is to describe the color name (hue), color evenness, and color fastness to washing of surian wood shavings waste dyeing results on prime cotton. Experimental research uses primary data. Data collection using questionnaires from 15 panelists. Data were analyzed using the Mann Whitney Test using SPSS version 26. The results of the color name of the dyeing without mordant 87% Dark Salmon Pink code #D78D68 color evenness is very even, the results of color fastness without mordant 1 wash 73% color slightly changed, 2 washes 53% color slightly changed, and 3 washes 47% color slightly changed. The results of the tunjung mordant color 80% Gray code #574F4C color evenness is even, the results of the tunjung mordant color fastness 1 wash 80% the color changes slightly, 2 washes 67% the color changes slightly, 3 washes 60% the color changes slightly. The results of the Mann Whitney Test for color evenness were obtained .389> 0.05, Ho was accepted indicating that there was no significant difference in color evenness in the results of dyeing surian wood shavings waste extract on prima cotton mori. While color fastness obtained .547 > 0.05, Ho is accepted indicating that there is no significant difference in color fastness
The Application of Encaustic Technique in the Creation of LIMBOSIS Figurative Sculpture Artworks
Get PDFThis study explores the use of the encaustic technique in creating sculpture art themed around the quarter-life crisis. The encaustic technique, which involves the application of hot wax on figures made of wire and polyurethane, was chosen for its flexibility and ability to create rich textures and visual dimensions. This research aims to investigate how the encaustic technique can capture and convey the emotional and psychological complexities experienced by individuals in the age range of 20–30 years, often referred to as the quarter-life crisis phase. The artwork titled LIMBOSIS was created using the encaustic technique through an experimental approach involving wax, polyurethane, wire, and digital elements. The results demonstrate that the encaustic technique is effective in expressing complex emotional nuances and provides aesthetic depth to art installations. Traditionally used in painting, this technique has been successfully adapted to contemporary sculpture. These findings make a significant contribution to the development of contemporary art, particularly in the context of creating works that explore psychological and social issue
Exploration of Songket Batik: Production Process and Cultural Values at Rumah Batik Tarancak, Solok City
Get PDFBatik is one of Indonesia’s cultural heritages that holds high artistic value, particularly in its motifs and philosophical meanings. An innovative development in West Sumatra is the creation of batik songket, a fusion of batik art and the traditional Minangkabau songket weaving. This study focuses on the production process of batik songket at Rumah Batik Tarancak in Solok City, a pioneer in producing batik on songket fabrics in the region. This innovation not only enriches local cultural heritage but also supports the local economy by enhancing the quality of products that can compete in the broader market. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method through direct observation, interviews, and documentation at Rumah Batik Tarancak. The findings reveal that the batik songket production process employs traditional manual weaving tools (ATBM) and uses both natural and synthetic dyes. The motifs are inspired by Minangkabau culture, embodying symbolic and aesthetic meanings. This innovation is expected to help preserve the heritage of batik and songket while raising awareness about the importance of maintaining cultural traditions
‘Maindang Tigo Batikai’ Dari Kesenian Dabuih Nagari Lumpo Kecamatan IV Jurai Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan Provinsi Sumatera Barat
Get PDFKesenian dabuih yang berkembang di Nagari Lumpo, Kecamatan IV Jurai, Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan, sering ditampilkan dalam acara adat. Dalam pertunjukannya, terdapat ansambel pembuka bernama Maindang Rabano yang berfungsi sebagai pengantar sebelum seni dabuih dipentaskan. Keunikan Maindang Rabano terletak pada ritme dan pola vokalnya, yang menjadi inspirasi untuk mengembangkan komposisi musik baru. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan komposisi musik berbasis seni dabuih, khususnya dari permainan Maindang Rabano, dengan pendekatan tradisional dan berbagai teknik kreatif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi lapangan, diskusi, sintesis, hingga tahap realisasi, serta melalui dokumentasi seperti rekaman audio, buku penelitian terdahulu, dan arsip budaya setempat. Maindang Rabano dimainkan secara berkelompok dan termasuk jenis musik perkusi ritmis, karena seluruh alat musiknya dipukul. Instrumen utama adalah gandang rabana yang dimainkan oleh 10-12 orang, dengan teknik campuran serta pola call and response (tanya jawab). Hasilnya, komposisi ini mencerminkan karakteristik unik dari Maindang Rabano dalam konteks musik baru yang mempertahankan unsur tradisional. Proses ini diharapkan dapat melestarikan dan mengenalkan seni dabuih ke generasi mendatang dengan format yang relevan dan mudah diapresiasi

Get PDFPendampingan orang tua dalam membentuk lingkungan rumah yang mendukung literasi anak usia dini di era digital bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan orang tua dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital secara bijak. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan: pembukaan, pelaksanaan, dan penutupan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa peserta memiliki pemahaman lebih baik tentang strategi mengelola penggunaan teknologi digital, memilih konten yang sesuai, serta menggabungkan aktivitas literasi digital dan tradisional. Diskusi terbuka dan evaluasi memperkuat kepercayaan diri orang tua dalam mengimplementasikan strategi literasi di rumah. Saran untuk kegiatan serupa di masa depan termasuk memperluas jangkauan program, meningkatkan intensitas kegiatan, menyediakan dukungan berkelanjutan, dan berkolaborasi dengan sekolah. Pendampingan ini efektif dalam membangun kesadaran orang tua tentang pentingnya literasi di era digital dan mendukung perkembangan literasi anak secara holistik
Innovation of Batik Cap Canting: Wooden Material with Scroll Technique, Traditional Minangkabau Ornaments
Get PDFBatik cap salah satu teknik pembuatan batik, prosesnya lebih cepat dan presisi pola motifnya. Menggunakan alat yang dinamakan canting cap. Selama ini canting cap dominan dibuat dari plat tembaga, yang proses pembuatannya rumit, lama dan harganya mahal. Sehingga kurang cocok untuk produksi batik yang terbatas. Di sisi lain batik di Sumatera Barat mulai memperlihatkan perkembangan menggembirakan, Sumatera Barat mempunyai potensi sangat besar untuk pengembangan batik. termasuk belum maksimalnya pemanfaatan ornamen Minangkabau sebagai motif batik.Pengembangan alat canting cap dan motif batik dilakukan guna menjawab berbagai persoalan terkait pengembangan batik khas di Sumatera Barat. Dengan metode eksperimen dan pengembangan dilakukan inovasi pembuatan canting cap dari bahan kayu, serta pengembangan ornamen tradisional Minangkabau menjadi motif batik. Ada dua strategi inovasi yang dilakukan, pertama inovasi alat canting cap yang dibuat dari bahan kayu dengan teknik scroll. Kedua inovasi motif batik, mengembangkan ornamen tradisional Minangkabau menjadi motif batik.Dalam penelitian telah dibuat canting cap dari kayu surian dan mersawa dengan teknik scroll sebanyak tiga belas buah. Pengembangan oranamen tradisional Minangkabau, berupa motif bidang besar empat buah, motif bidang sedang lima buah dan motif bidang kecil empat buah. Canting cap bahan kayu tersebut telah diujicobakan pengecapannya pada media kain

No full textThe composition "Basintojik" is a musical composition inspired by the art of calempong rarak godang which was born and developed in the Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. This art is usually performed at various traditional events and important ceremonies, such as weddings, religious celebrations, silek, and processional music at track events. Calempong rarak godang has several repertoires including Kedidi, Tigo-tigo, Ciek-ciek, Tak tendut, Gelang-gelang, Kacimpuang, Gamiak-gamiak and Pik tontong. The results of the artist's analysis of the art of Calempong Rarak Godang found that the beginning of each song always has the same rhythm pattern and also every Calempong Rarak Godang repertoire always ends using the same ending melody (bonti) using meter three or a 3/4 melody pattern. The principle of the bonti melody, which is always the same, became the basic idea in the work which was done using the World Musik approach, giving birth to a new composition entitled "Basintojik"
Cultural Landscape Tourism Development Model In Koto Gadang, West Sumatra
No full textKoto Gadang, a village located in Agam Regency, West Sumatra, holds extraordinary cultural and historical wealth. As one of the heritage tourism destinations in Indonesia, Koto Gadang has various attractions, such as the architecture of the traditional houses, silver crafts, and historical values of national figures who were born in this area. The research method in this study uses a qualitative descriptive method and data collection techniques using observation, documentation and literature studies. This study aims to identify the form of saujana as a potential heritage tourism in Koto Gadang such as the uniqueness of the Community, religious values, historical values in Koto Gadang and analyze the challenges faced, and offer sustainable development strategies to increase the appeal of tourism in this area.

Tourism Promotion Video of Gundaling Berastagi Using Vintage Effects
Get PDFBerastagi is a popular tourist town in North Sumatra that introduces the Gundaling tourism site. However, the town remains relatively unknown to the wider public due to a lack of information and digital promotion. This study aims to create a tourism promotion video for the Gundaling destination in Berastagi, using vintage effects as a key component to create visual and emotional appeal for the audience. The use of vintage effects, such as vintage filters, soft color gradation, and classic lighting, creates a nostalgic atmosphere that can attract visitors and present Gundaling as a tourist destination offering historical and cultural value in addition to its natural beauty. The video production follows the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) method, resulting in 12 promotional video pieces. The use of vintage effects in these promotional videos successfully enhances emotional appeal, strengthens Gundaling's visual identity, and broadens audience reach. It is hoped that this promotional video will help make Gundaling stand out among other tourist destinations by enhancing visual appeal and the overall visitor experience

Various strategies are carried out to improve its existence, one of which is producing the Cerdas Qur'an program which is produced in the midst of the community. The purpose of this research is to find out how the role of the Cerdas Qur'an program in increasing the existence of Padang TV.
The theory used in this research is the strategy of producing television programs, and strategies in attracting audiences in maintaining the existence of Padang TV. The research methodology used in this research is qualitative method and data collection techniques by conducting interviews, observations, and document studies. The results showed that the Cerdas Qur'an Program has a strong role in increasing the existence of Padang TV through several strategies, namely, strategies for producing television programs, strategies for attracting audiences, strategies for producing programs in the community, and utilizing internet media
