Riuh Birama: from the Malay Pencak Silat Tradition to the World Music Approach
Get PDFMalay Pencak Silat Melayu is a related Malay art known as classical Malay art which is often performed at receptions for grand guests or guests of honour. The development of Malay Pencak Silat performances can be found in the implementation of traditional Malay wedding ceremonies, events, circumcision events and events featuring regional arts, especially in Riau Province. Riuh Birama's musical composition was created using a World Music approach. The artist embodies ideas sourced from Malay Pencak Silat Accompaniment Music by developing melodic patterns using the Cengkok, Grenek, Patah techniques. The composition of Riuh Birama is realized in several stages, namely; 1) observation; 2) determining the concept; 3) material preparation; 4) discussion and commitment; and 5) embodiment. The creator tries to present several forms of novelty in the form of works following the concept being offered

No full textIn the Malay community in the city of Rengat, the oral tradition is called Nandong, which in oral literature is used to put children to sleep, usually conveyed with poetry or rhymes and sung rhythmically or humming, this is because Malay culture is always synonymous with poetry or rhymes. Based on the results of the artist's analysis of Nandung art, the artist found uniqueness in the rhythm which has vibrations or vibrato in the swing of the sentences. Then the creator also saw the strength of the poetry or rhyme found in Nandung, where the poetry or rhyme contained in the pantun contained a moral utterance or message conveyed. This is the idea in creating musical compositions using a traditional approach. The author divides it into two parts, beginning and end. In the first part, the focus is on presenting the Nandong pantun as an opening to start this composition, then we move on to the pantun that the author developed accompanied by melodic instruments using working techniques. The author presents the final part of this composition with a work that has developed a vocal melody into a varied and melodic playing, especially on the vocals and rhythm patterns that the author has developed using the work technique

No full textTransisi politik dari Orde Baru menuju Era Reformasi di Indonesia menandai pergeseran signifikan dalam sistem pemerintahan negara, perilaku politik masyarakat, dan pemahaman terhadap ideologi nasional, Pancasila. Sejak tahun 1998, Indonesia telah mengalami perubahan besar yang dipicu oleh krisis multi-dimensi pada tahun-tahun terakhir Orde Baru, ditandai dengan meningkatnya ketimpangan sosial, korupsi yang meluas, dan tuntutan masyarakat untuk perubahan dan reformasi. Melalui empat kali amandemen terhadap Undang-Undang Dasar 1945, upaya dilakukan untuk memperbaiki sistem pemerintahan dan mengakomodasi aspirasi masyarakat, sementara Pancasila mengalami reinterpretasi sesuai dengan konteks zaman yang berubah. Studi ini menganalisis hubungan antara perilaku politik masyarakat dan ideologi nasional di Indonesia pasca-Orde Baru dengan mengkaji studi kasus transisi politik dan dinamika ideologi, menyoroti perubahan dalam partisipasi politik, pluralisme ideologi, peran media sosial, konflik ideologis, dan pengaruh globalisasi dalam membentuk pola perilaku politik masyarakat Indonesia

Penelitian ini berfokus pada faktor penyebab kekerasan pada anak, dampak kekerasan pada anak, jenis kekerasan yang dialami oleh anak dan upaya penanggulangan kekerasan anak di Kabupaten Solok Selatan Sumatera Barat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan faktor apa yang menjadi penyebab kekerasan pada anak, bagaimana dampak kekerasan pada anak, dan jenis kekerasan yang dialami oleh anak serta upaya penanggulangan kekerasan pada anak itu sendiri. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dan menggunakan metode pengumpulan data observasi dan wawancara. Kekerasan terhadap anak memiliki dampak yang serius terhadap kesejahteraan dan perkembangan anak. Anak-anak merupakan calon generasi emas di masa depan. Kekerasan yang mereka alami di usia dini mampu menghancurkan masa depan mereka

Get PDFABSTRAKDalam era digital dan media sosial yang semakin dominan, pemahaman tentang bagaimana makna dibentuk dan disampaikan melalui media visual menjadi semakin penting. Penelitian ini berusaha mengeksplorasi penggunaan semiotika pada desain feed @diskominfosidoarjo bertemakan “ANCAMAN WEB DEFACEMENT: JUDI ONLINE”. Dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pesan dan makna yang direpresentasikan melalui elemen visual dalam desain pada feed Instagram @diskominfosidoarjo yang diunggah pada tanggal 21 September 2023. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini ialah kualitatif. Proses analisis menggunakan empat pisau bedah semiotika iklan yang digagas oleh Judith Williamson yaitu product as signified, product as signifier, product as generator dan product as currency. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa feed Instagram menciptakan semiotika visual yang kompleks, dimana makna denotatif dan konotatif saling berinteraksi. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan adanya perubahan dalam makna yang terkandung dalam feed Instagram seiring waktu dan perubahan konteks.Kata Kunci : Diskominfo, Feed, Judith Williamson, Semiotika, Web DefacementABSTRACTIn the increasingly dominant digital era and social media, understanding how meaning is formed and conveyed through visual media is becoming increasingly important. This research seeks to explore the use of semiotics in the design of the @diskominfosidoarjo feed with the theme "ANCAMAN WEB DEFACEMENT: JUDI ONLINE". With the aim of finding out the messages and meanings represented through visual elements in the design on the Instagram feed @diskominfosidoarjo which was uploaded on September 21 2023. The method used in this research is qualitative. The analysis process uses four advertising semiotic scalpels initiated by Judith Williamson, namely product as signified, product as signifier, product as generator and product as currency. The research results show that Instagram feeds create complex visual semiotics, where denotative and connotative meanings interact with each other. This work is sourced from the colors found in palm fruit and combined with palm oil batik motifs. The creation of clothing with a combination of palm-oil batik motifs and unique creativity aims to introduce to the public that anything around us can be a source of ideas for making clothing designs. The shape and color of the palm fruit are unique, featuring color gradations such as yellow, tiger, cherry, crimson, and wine. In creating this work, the craftsman went through three stages: the exploration stage, which involved seeking information about palm oil in West Pasaman; the design stage, which included viewing reference images, compiling the creation concept, mood boards, and making designs; and the embodiment stage, which involved cutting patterns, sewing, and finally presenting the clothing in a fashion show.
