    STUDI EKSPRESI WAJAH KARAKTER PADA ANIMASI 3DCG CARS SEBAGAI DAYA TARIK VISUAL REMAJA

    ABSTRAKDengan perkembangan teknologi, semakin banyak anak muda yang mengakses internet. Mereka juga menyukai animasi dari periode 2000-an yang menampilkan karakter antropomorfis atau benda mati yang diberi kehidupan seperti manusia. Seperti animasi “Cars” (2006), mengisahkan dunia mobil dengan tokoh utama seorang pembalap sombong yang terdampar di kota asing. Animasi ini menggunakan teknik 3DCG, sebuah teknologi baru di abad 21. Visualisasinya juga mudah dipahami oleh anak muda karena ekspresi karakter yang berekspresif. Karena sudah memasuki fase remaja, peneliti akan mengamati dan mewawancarai mengenai persepsi mereka setelah menonton ulang animasi tersebut. Studi ini bertujuan untuk memahami sudut pandang remaja mengenai animasi “Cars” di tahun 2024 dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Kesimpulannya, penggunaan 12 prinsip animasi dan pengetahuan tentang teknologi yang berkembang pesat membuat animasi ini tetap menarik bagi remaja.ABSTRACTWith the development of technology, more young people are accessing the internet. They also love animations from the 2000s that feature anthropomorphized characters or inanimate objects given human-like life. For example, the animation "Cars" (2006) tells the story of the world of cars with the main character of an arrogant racer who is stranded in a foreign city. The animation uses 3DCG technique, a new technology in the 21st century. The visualization is also easy for young people to understand because of the expressiveness of the characters. Since they have entered the teenage phase, the researcher will observe and interview them about their perceptions after rewatching the animation. This study aims to understand teenagers' perspectives on the animation "Cars" in 2024 by using descriptive qualitative methods. In conclusion, the use of 12 animation principles and knowledge of rapidly developing technology makes this animation still attractive to teenagers

    This research analyzes the symbol of the house from the film "Ngeri-ngeri Sedap," which represents family dynamics, traditions, and intergenerational conflicts. This research explores how the houses in this film can symbolize the cultural myths contained within, such as the role of parents, social pressure, and the importance of preserving traditional values. The method used in this research is qualitative analysis with a focus on the visual elements of the house and the meanings created from those representations in Batak Culture. The results of this study show that the houses in this film can represent patriarchal authority, protection, and the conflict between tradition and modernization. The house here is not just a backdrop, but a symbol for reflecting cultural conflicts, identity, and power. This research supports the use of semiotics in understanding the cultural symbols contained within and recommends further research using patriarchal theory to deepen visual analysis

    Tantrum is anger with rage due to the inability to express desires or needs in words. Tantrums most often occur in children aged 3-5 years, because at that age children are developing language skills. Tantrums are something that is common in children, in the city of Batusangkar there are still many parents who don't know what tantrums are, and there are those who think Tantrums are a symptom of a child with needs. Due to parents' lack of understanding about what tantrums are and how to handle tantrums that occur in children, a social campaign was designed for parents about how to handle tantrums that occur in children. This social campaign was carried out in the form of seminars held at schools. by inviting parents as the audience. The data collection methods used were observation, interviews, questionnaires and also literature study. The analysis method used is SWOT analysis and the target audience is parents with an age range of 25-45 years. After collecting this data, we continue with the brainstorming process, preparing verbal concepts and visual concepts for the media that will be designed. The results of this design are seminars as the main media and also pocket books, posters, X-Banners, social media accounts, and also merchandise as supporting media

    The Application of Paintings on Cutting Boards in Terms of the Principles of Fine Arts for Grade XI Students at SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan

    This study aims to evaluate the application of painting techniques on cutting board media based on the principles of fine arts among grade XI students at SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method. The study involved 30 grade XI students specializing in painting. Data were collected through documentation, practical tests, and observations. The findings reveal the following average scores: 82.78 for the principle of unity (fairly good), 82.84 for the principle of balance (fairly good), 81.81 for the principle of rhythm (fairly good), 81.68 for the principle of emphasis (fairly good), 84.12 for the principle of proportion (good), and 82.32 for the principle of harmony (fairly good). These results indicate that the students demonstrated a fairly good ability to apply the principles of fine arts in their painting projects on cutting board media during the 2024–2025 academic year

    The Sang Sako dance work is inspired by the leadership system in Minangkabua, namely Tungkun Tigo Sajrangan. Tungku tigo sajarangan is a figurative language for the leadership system in Minangkabau. Tungku Tigo Sajarangan is the collective leadership of the Minangkabau community, consisting of Niniak Mamak, Alim Ulama and Cadiak Pandai. The creator is interested in the philosophy of Tungku Tigo Sajarangan which is related to balance where this philosophy has all been well regulated. This is a source of inspiration in creating dance works with a focus on balance. This work is danced by eight male dancers using cultural themes and pure types. The props used in this work are wood and bamboo in the shape of an equilateral triangle, and a sarong which was demonstrated at the Hoerijah Adam Performance Building using Alma M.     This creation is inspired by a hurricane lantern as the object of creation. The hurricane lantern is chosen as the object because it is one of the items that can remind me of my childhood memories with my father. These memories are from the nights spent in the fields peeling cinnamon bark (cassia vera). The purpose of creating this artwork is to express feelings of longing and affection for my father in the form of black-and-white relief print printmaking. The method used involves several stages: preparation, design, forming, and presentation. This creative process resulted in five black-and-white relief print printmakings, titled "Warmth," "Process," "Struggle," "Memory," and "Story.

    Manumbuak padi is an activity of Minangkabau`s women in processing paddy into rice traditionally using traditional tools. the traditional tools is lasuang, pestle/antan and tampian. Nowadays, rice processing using lasuang is starting to be abandoned, because it has been replaced by more sophisticated technology. This is the interest and concept in creating embroidery works. The embroidery creation methods that we used are three-stage theory, the exploration stage, looking for ideas and reference sources. The design stage, namely expressing ideas in the form of a design, continued with the realization stage. The work is made using embroidery techniques using cotton linen and polycherry thread. The works in the form of wall decorations have a diameter of 80 cm, and each work has a storyline according to its title, namely Work 1 entitled manjamua padi (drying rice), work 2 manumbuak padi (pounding rice), work 3 basumarak (lively/excited), work 4 manampi (winnowing), work 5 manyumpik bareh (putting rice into a sack), and work 6 malapeh panek (unwinding or resting)

    Introducing the Malay song Zapin "Usik- Mengusik" to Minangkabau Teenagers through SMK 2 Padang Panjang School, West Sumatra

    The song Zapin Usik Mengusik is a Malay Pop song in the zapin style created by a figure from Malaysia named Naz. This song was popularized by the Lakon Senario and Haida groups in neighboring Malaysia. This song is very suitable for teenagers who are in love. The rhythm of this song is typical Malay, verse after verse like a rhyme that follows each other. The author is interested in introducing this Malay song to Minang cultured teenagers who of course hear Minang songs more often. The author rearranged this song in the form of a Malay zapin-style ensemble using traditional and modern musical instruments including electric guitar, bass guitar, jimbe drum, string (keyboard), accordion (keyboard), cajon, tambourine, gendang kompang and vocals. This qualitative research is to see the response of Minangkabau cultural teenagers to Malay culture. To obtain this response, this research was supported by lecture methods, demonstrations, training, and evaluation methods. Response indicators are obtained when teenagers in the student category gain knowledge and are able to play and perform the Malay song Zapin Usik Mengusik in a musical ensemble format at SMKN 2 Padangpanjang through the song Zapin Usik Mengusik

    Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh adanya kasus intimidasi, melalui karya film fiksi yang berjudul A Lonely Beauty ini bertujuan untuk menyampaikan pesan kepada penonton dampak dari tindakan mengintimidasi dapat mengangu mental seseorang baik secara fisik maupun psikis. Skenario dari film ini yaitu Danala seorang wanita yang mengalami intimidasi oleh lingkungan karena penampilanya. Adanya penerapan metode dalam pengarapan film ini yaitu melalui gestur untuk mengoptimalisasikan akting. Gestur yang dipakai yaitu dari teori Eka D Sitorus yang mengelompokan gestur menjadi 4 yaitu (1) ilustratif (2) indikatif (3) empatik (4) autistik.  Penerapan gestur di film A Lonely Beauty yaitu ada 3 macam (1) empatik (2) autistik (3) indikatif. Hasil dari pemakaian gestur ini dapat menghasilkan film kaya akan pesan dengan mengunakan bahasa tubuh dari pada dialog yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi durasi.
