Get PDFPenelitian ini mengkaji interpretasi elemen musikal dalam pertunjukan Saluang Pauah pada lagu "Silaing Padangpanjang" di Kota Padang. Masalah yang diangkat adalah bagaimana bentuk elemen musikal, seperti melodi, ritme, dan harmoni, saling berinteraksi dalam konteks pertunjukan tradisional ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengiterpretasikan elemen musikal Saluang Pauah secara mendalam tentang lagu Silaing Padangpanjang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analisis dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis interpretasi elemen musikal dalam pertunjukan Saluang Pauah pada lagu Silaing Padangpanjang di Kota Padang dengan aktifitas melihat, mengamati, mendengar dan menggumpulkan informasi serta kemudian menggambarkan secara tepat. Teori yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah teori dari Hugh M Miler, C. Simanjuntak, dan De With H. Parker. Get PDFAbstrak Pertunjukan musik merupakan ekspresi seni yang memadukan elemen-elemen musikal seperti melodi, ritme, harmoni, dan dinamika untuk menyampaikan pesan emosional dan naratif kepada audiens. Dalam konteks pertunjukan ini, penyaji menghadirkan tiga repertoar jazz instrumental menggunakan alat musik saxophone, yaitu Let’s Get It On karya Marvin Gaye, You Make Me Feel Brand New dari The Stylistics, dan Nurlela ciptaan A.R. Ahmad. Ketiga karya ini dipilih berdasarkan tingkat kesulitan teknis, variasi ekspresi, dan potensi untuk mengeksplorasi interpretasi musical. Repertoar Let’s Get It On, You Make Me Feel Brand New dan Nurlela di eksplorasi melalui harmoni akor yang kaya dan melodi puitis dengan iringan combo band, menonjolkan karakter emosional balada soul serta diinterpretasikan dalam format jazz instrumental dengan pendekatan melankolis dan nuansa Melayu yang khas, menyajikan elemen tradisional dalam aransemen modern. Melalui pertunjukan ini, penyaji berusaha memberikan pengalaman musikal yang mendalam, tidak hanya sebagai reproduksi teknis karya tetapi juga sebagai medium untuk menyampaikan makna emosional dan estetis dari setiap repertoar. Interpretasi ini bertujuan menjembatani pesan musikal dari komposer kepada audiens, menciptakan hubungan emosional yang autentik melalui keunikan saxophone sebagai instrumen utama. No full textArtikel ini meneliti bagaimana solis violin mengekspresikan karakter budaya dan emosional dalam lagu Melayu Hang Tuah yang di bawakan dengan format orkestra, dengan fokus pada integrasi elemen musik tradisional Melayu ke dalam musik klasik Barat. Artikel ini menggunakan metodologi pertunjukan yang meliputi eksplorasi, persiapan, dan perwujudan. Hasil artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa solis violin menggunakan teknik yang menunjang untuk berinterpretasi dan berekspresi seperti vibrato dan dinamika, yang didasarkan pada pemahaman budaya mendalam. Kesimpulannya, interpretasi ini memerlukan kombinasi keterampilan teknis dan pemahaman budaya, serta pentingnya kolaborasi antara solis dan orkestra untuk mencapai ekspresi musik yang autentik

No full textAnimation media has a role in the process of global cultural exposure, especially through the designed worldbuilding in it. An animated work with worldbuilding that designs culture well is the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender. This research is focused on exploring the differences between the cultures of the Southern and Northern Water Tribes in the world of Avatar based on Hofstede's four layers of cultural theory (Symbols, Heroes, Rituals, & Values), especially in women's culture. The research was conducted using comparative qualitative methods. In this research, differences were found in Symbols (clothing, hair, jewelry), Heroes (Katara and Yue), Rituals, and Values in the two water tribes. Southern women prioritize practicality and survival, as reflected by Katara while northern women emphasize social order and tradition, embodied by Princess Yue. This research shows that in worldbuilding, various cultures can be formed and deepen the narrative of an animation

Get PDFThe Utilization of Plastic Waste in Craft Learning for Seventh-Grade Students at SMP Negeri 5 Padang Panjang. This study aims to describe the process of utilizing plastic waste in learning, crafts for class VII. 6, student at SMP Negeri 5 Padang Panjang, understanding students’ responses to the learning and identifying obtacles faced by teachers and students. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data was obtained through interviews, observations and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the utilization of plastic waste as a craft learning material is carried out through careful planning by teachers, starting from the selection of materials to the manufacture of craft products in the form of wallets from plastic waste. Students showed a positive response, seen from their enthusiasm and active participation during learning. The obtacles faced include limited tools and materials and varying levels of student skills. This study shows that craft learning with the utilization of plastic waste not only increases students’ creativity, but also instills environmental value
Tanoh Kamoe: Tarek Pukat In The Form Of A Two-Part Musical Composition
Get PDFThis composition raises the tradition of Tarek Pukat, an art and culture from the coastal communities of Aceh, as the basis for creating a musical composition entitled Tanoh Kamoe. This tradition, which reflects the spirit of cooperation and the life of fishermen, is adapted into a two-part musical composition using the Acehnese Fusion Ensemble format. The original melody of Tarek Pukat, which is simple and repetitive, is developed through musical processing techniques such as augmentation, diminution, imitation, and sequence. This composition consists of two parts: Part I emphasizes traditional musical instruments such as serune kale, rapa’i, vocals, and flutes, while Part II presents a modern nuance with orchestral instruments and a combo band. With a total duration of 15 minutes, this work describes the journey of fishermen from preparation, fishing, to sharing the catch. The creation method involves exploring music theory, interviews, and using software such as Sibelius. Through this work, it is hoped that local traditions can be preserved and recognized by the wider community while providing innovation in the processing of tradition-based musical art. Ensembl

Lagu Superman is arranged into a musical ensemble format with instruments such as bellyra, pianica, bass guitar, electric guitar, drumset, and vocals. The research method used is qualitative in the form of action research, where the researcher goes directly to the research site. In the research process, the researcher applied several supporting methods: demonstration, imitation, exercise, and evaluation. This research aims to show students' progress and knowledge in playing musical instruments and understanding music's tempo and dynamics. The results of the research and teaching were performed by the students of SMA N 3 Padang Panjang at the Hoeridjah Adam Performance Building, Indonesian Institute of the Arts, Padangpanjang.

Get PDFPerforming musical compositions from various eras such as classical, modern, Malay, and popular, this violin solo recital presents a blend of interpretation, improvisation, and expressive performance using musical techniques that adhere to conventional principles.The initial preparation for the soloist before the performance includes technical exercises involving both the left and right hand techniques in solo violin playing. Each composition to be performed is analyzed in detail, especially in terms of form and structure. This process is essential for expressing each section of the composition appropriately and in accordance with the composer’s intent, particularly given that the compositions span different musical periods. This performance consists of several repertoires from different eras. The first repertoire originates from the Baroque period, spanning the 16th to 17th century, characterized by clear and structured patterns. This piece is titled Concerto in E Major No.1 "Spring" by composer Antonio Vivaldi, composed in 1725. The second repertoire is My Heart Will Go On, a popular music piece presented in a contemporary style. The third composition is Laila Canggung, created by Hamid and Amardi Raga, which is rooted in Malay cultural tradition and is expressed in accordance with Malay aesthetic values. The performer interprets and expresses each repertoire by applying various techniques such as arpeggio, trill, legato, slur, and slide, aiming to deliver a refined and complete performance

Penelitian ini berfokus pada proses pembelajaran serta perkembangan pengetahuan siswa dalam menggambar perspektif selama penelitian, yang dapat dilihat dari perbandingan lembar kerja siswa sebelum dan sesudah penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pengkajian deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian adalah dengan observasi,wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi Pustaka. Penelitian ini berjalan dengan baik dan mendapatkan hasil yang baik pula. Hasil penelitian ini adalah meningkatnya persentase siswa yang mampu menggambar perspektif menjadi 75% dari yang awalnya hanya 45%, sebelumnya rata-rata siswa hanya mampu menggambar perspekti satu dan dua titik hilang dengan perspektif mata manusia, dan kini sebagian besar siswa mampu menggambar perspektif sqtu,dua dan tiga titik hilang dengan perspektif mata yang berbeda (mata burung, kucing, manusi)

Get PDFGunungsari Tourism Village in Pamijahan District, Bogor Regency, holds significant potential in the tourism sector and creative economy development through Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This study aims to describe community participation in improving the quality of MSME products as a strategy to strengthen the local economy. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that active community involvement in training, production, and marketing contributes to enhancing product quality and market value. Challenges faced include limited production facilities and low digital promotion capacity. Nevertheless, with institutional support and inclusive community engagement, MSMEs in Gunungsari Village have the potential to become a vital pillar of the sustainable tourism village economy. This study affirms that community participation is a key factor in the development of competitive MSME products
