    A Theoretical Review Study on Role of Government towards Skill Development in Indian Context

    Skills are considered the abilities to perform activities. The professional activities require specific skills set and development of such skills supports the growth momentum. Skill development is a mammoth task with minute specification. As definition Skill development is the process of learning and improving skills to be more effective in a task or role. It can include technical skills, such as programming, and soft skills, such as communication.  It is essential to equip the workforce with applicable skills. India is one among the Youngest Countries, its demographic advantage, establishes it as a major economic force in the world. The Government is determined in developing the skill set of its citizen. Skill India and Start up India kind of efforts are in that direction. The current study is an Exploratory ad Descriptive Research attempted with the help of Secondary Sources. The authors aim to understand the significance of Skill Development and study the role of government in skill development in Indian context. The authors have also extended recommendation towards Skill Development approach. The study encapsulates the theoretical review of skill development initiatives by the government in Indian context. The study is confined to authors understanding on Skill development based on government initiatives. The inferences are Indicative in nature rather exhaustive. The study explores the evolving strategies and policies to bridge the skill gap in India\u27s workforce. The rapid technological advancements and changing industrial demands have changed the skill development landscape

    Saudi Women Entrepreneurs: Progress and Obstacles

    Saudi Arabia is making remarkable social changes and highlighting its determination to move forward to a more prosperous future by providing opportunities for everyone to contribute to their abilities in the nation\u27s development. Saudi women are a great asset to the nation. Over 50 percent, of the university graduates, are female, and the country is developing their talents, investing in their productive capabilities, and enabling them to strengthen their future and contribute to the growth of the society and economy. Besides this, Saudi Arabia is working hard to increase and support female entrepreneurs, by giving workshops, training programs, and financial assistance so that they can start their projects. Not only this the Saudi government has also launched a major program in collaboration with Sweden to train female entrepreneurs and innovators by creating networks and organizing interactive learning through meetings, study tours, education, and interaction with the top opinion leaders and decision-makers. Women\u27s empowerment is one of the Major keys to the rejuvenation objectives set out in the 2030 vision and national transformation program of the country. Islamic women entrepreneurs attribute success and failure in different terms than their Western counterparts and relate a large set of obstacles and unique strategies to function well. This study pin down the conceptual background of women entrepreneurship and attributes that contribute to the success of female entrepreneurs in Saudi Arabia. The study also work forwards to recognize factors that enable female business owners to realize their entrepreneurial potential. It also suggests ways in which the government can support women in realizing their entrepreneurial potential and makes recommendations to improve the entrepreneurial situation in Saudi Arabia

    Effect of Internal Control Attributes Practices on Fraud Management in Nigerian Deposit Money Banks

    The study examines the effect of internal control attributes (control environment, monitoring and information and communication) on fraud management in Nigerian Deposit Money Banks. With increasing fraud risks and evolving fraud schemes, the role of internal control systems in safeguarding organizational assets, ensuring compliance, and improving operational efficiency is critical. The study adopts a descriptive research design, using a cross-sectional approach to examine how control environment, monitoring, and information communication practices influence fraud management. Findings indicate that monitoring activities play the most significant role in mitigating fraud risks, followed by the control environment and information and communication practices. The results highlight the importance of robust internal controls in fostering organizational resilience against fraud. It is recommended that Banks should invest in automated monitoring systems, senior management should foster a culture of transparency, ethical behavior, accountability and organizations must establish secure and efficient communication channels

    Climate Change and Economic Growth in Nigeria: Moderating Effect of Tax Reform

    Climate change presents significant challenges to Nigeria\u27s economic growth, primarily through temperature anomalies, rainfall variability and deforestation. This study examines how tax reforms can moderate these environmental impacts, ensuring economic stability and sustainability. Using multiple regression and heteroskedasticity-robust regression models, the study analyzes the relationship between climate change indicators and GDP growth. Findings reveal that rainfall variability negatively affects economic performance, while temperature anomalies and deforestation exhibit mixed effects. Tax reforms as an interacting variable moderating role, influencing how environmental factors impact economic outcomes. Interaction analyses indicate that well-structured tax policies can either amplify or mitigate environmental risks, reinforcing the need for balanced fiscal approaches. The study underscores the importance of adaptive climate policies, sustainable tax frameworks and economic diversification to enhance resilience against climate change. Informing policymakers on optimizing tax structures for sustainable development, the research contributes to the ongoing discourse on balancing economic growth and environmental responsibility. The findings also offer valuable insights for businesses and investors navigating Nigeria’s evolving economic landscape in response to climate change challenges

    Exploring Tribal Communities: Insights from Manipur and Neighbouring States

    This paper critically analyses the Scheduled Tribes (ST) community in Manipur, contextualized within the broader framework of ST issues in India. The recognition of STs in India emerged in 1950, addressing centuries of historical prejudice, socioeconomic exploitation, and isolation. The Indian Constitution categorizes the population into five groups, with the ST category in Manipur being one of them. In Manipur, tribals face economic, social, and political disadvantages, prompting their listing as ST under Part X of the Constitutional ST Order, 1950. This article examines the characteristics of STs in India and Manipur, including geographical isolation, unique culture, and primordial characteristics. It also explores the cultural and traditional practices of various ethnic groups in Manipur, including the Meitei, Kukis, and Nagas. The paper analyses the Indian Constitution\u27s ST Order and amendments about Manipur and neighboring states, focusing on the \u27Kuki or Any Kuki\u27 and \u27Any Naga Tribes.\u27 By examining the implications of ST designations, this research aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the complex issues surrounding STs in India and Manipur

    Evaluating the Effectiveness of Product Development Strategy on First National Bank Financial Performance

    Product development strategy is crucial for banks to remain competitive and achieve financial success. This study was aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of product development strategy on the financial performance of FNB in Lusaka. The study adopted  a quantitative approach using survey questionnaires and panel analysis of financial data from 09  FNB branches in Lusaka. The results of the study revealed that the majority of respondents were middle-aged males with some experience and a first-degree education. Over 60% were aware of product development strategies, with short- and long-term financing options being key strategies. The study revealed a weak positive relationship between product development strategy and financial performance. The correlation between ROA and the predictor variables (R=0.545 was greater than 0.5) meaning there was a strong positive correlation between ROA and the predictor variables. The coefficient of the regression analysis denotes the amount of deviation in the predicted variable that is to say ROA that is explained by the predictor variables. The square of R=0.297 reveals that 29.7% of the changes in ROA was attributed to predictor variables. The Durbin-Watson test statistic was 1.158 which indicated that no correlation existed among the residuals in the model.  Effective product development strategies, such as innovation and customer-centric approach, contributed to improved financial performance. The implication of this study is that, the study\u27s findings will provide insights into the effectiveness of the e-wallet product development strategy in improving financial performance at First National Bank, inform the development of effective e-wallet product development strategies, and contribute to the existing literature on product development strategy and its effectiveness on financial performance. Based on the obtained results, The study recommends that FNB consider diversifying its product offerings to appeal to a broader demographic range and adopt effective product development strategies, such as innovation and customer-centric approach, to improve financial performance

    Forensic Dispute Resolution and Auditing Efficacy on Fraud Prevention in Public Agricultural Sector in Nigeria

    Fraud in Nigeria’s public agricultural sector poses significant threats to economic sustainability, food security, and sectoral development. This study investigates the efficacy of forensic dispute resolution and forensic auditing in preventing fraud within the sector. Using a descriptive survey design, data were collected from staff within the Department of Finance and Accounts at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture Headquarters in Abuja. A total of 384 valid responses were analyzed using the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM). Findings reveal that forensic dispute resolution and forensic auditing significantly impact fraud prevention, with forensic dispute resolution demonstrating a stronger influence. Challenges such as weak regulatory enforcement and cash-based transactions hinder fraud detection, necessitating the adoption of digital payment systems and blockchain technology. The study recommends enhanced forensic capacity-building, inter-agency collaboration, and stringent regulatory frameworks to improve financial integrity. The findings provide empirical evidence for policymakers and regulatory agencies to develop robust fraud prevention mechanisms in Nigeria’s agricultural sector

    A Study on “Role of Microfinance in Transforming Rural Economies" with Reference to Bangalore Rural

    Microfinance has develop a vital device for fostering economic expansion in rural areas by addressing the financial needs of underserved communities. This study examines the role of microfinance in transforming rural economies, with a focus on Bangalore Rural, highlighting its impact on income generation, entrepreneurship, and women empowerment. Through small loans, savings mechanisms, and financial literacy programs, microfinance institutions (MFIs) have enabled marginalized populations to overcome barriers to economic participation. Primary data collected from structured interviews with beneficiaries and secondary analysis of MFI reports reveal significant improvements in household income, reduced reliance on informal credit sources, and increased self-employment opportunities. Women, in particular, reported enhanced financial decision-making power and confidence, showcasing the potential of microfinance in promoting gender equity. Despite its benefits, microfinance faces challenges such as high interest rates, limited repayment capacities, and restricted access in remote areas, highlighting the need for policy interventions to regulate costs, improve financial literacy, and extend service coverage. This study emphasizes the crucial role of microfinance in reducing poverty, promoting inclusive growth, and supporting sustainable livelihoods in rural economies. It offers actionable insights for policymakers, microfinance institutions (MFIs), and development practitioners seeking to harness microfinance as a catalyst for comprehensive rural transformation
