Characterizing Automobile Industrial Wastewater and its Impacts on Surrounding Water Quality
The wastewater from industries varies so greatly in both flow and pollution strength. So, it is impossible to assign fixed values to their constituents. It is necessary to pretreat the wastes prior to release to the municipal system since lack of adequate treatment of the effluent can cause deterioration of the ecosystem, die off and contamination of the aquatic environment. These adverse effects necessitated the study of wastewater effect on surface water body at Emene Industrial Layout, Enugu State, Nigeria. Wastewater samples were collected, analyzed and compared with the plot of treatment means. The results obtained from the study were compared with WHO and NIS 554 water standards. The wastewater analysis suggested that contaminant at the untreated stage was very high. The results of the treated and river sample were within the WHO and NIS 554 allowable water ranges. Samples at discharge point recorded increased values which suggest high re-contamination along the open channel (from non-point sources) before discharge. This calls for proper monitoring and treatment of the industrial effluent prior to ground water recharge or discharge to surface water
Effects of Process Parameters on Electrical Discharge Machining Performance Measures on D3 Steel
One of the most significant factors to consider in the majority of manufacturing processes, particularly those involving Electrical Discharge Machining, is the proper selection of manufacturing conditions (EDM). It can machine geometrically complex or hard material components that are precise and difficult to machine, such as heat treated tool brass, copper, steels, composites, super alloys, ceramics, carbides, heat resistant steels, and so on. It is widely used in the die and mould making industries, aerospace, aeronautics, and nuclear industries. According to the literature review, some study has been done to determine the ideal levels of machining parameters that provide the greatest machining quality in the machining of difficult-to-machine materials such as hot die steel H-11 and D3 STEEL. H-11 hot die steel is widely utilised in hot-work forging, extrusion, punching tools, mandrels, mechanical press forging dies, plastic mould and die-casting dies, aviation landing gears, helicopter rotor blades and shafts, and other applications. A comparative examination of electro discharge machining (EDM) of D3 STEEL alloy employing brass electrodes was conducted as part of this project. Material removal rate (MRR) and overcut were used to evaluate the process\u27 performance. During the testing, the pulse on time, pulse off time, and peak current were varied, and a brass electrode with a tubular cross section was used to cut through holes in a D3steel alloy workpiece. The machined surfaces were subjected to metallographic examination. To limit the overall number of tests, a well-designed experimental system was adopted. The whale\u27s optimization algorithm was used for some of the experiment.
The goal of this study was to look at the impact of various EDM process parameters on machining quality and to come up with the best set of process parameters to improve the quality of machined parts. The EDM process parameters\u27 working ranges and levels are determined using a one-factor-at-a-time approach. The Taguchi technique was used to examine the effects of EDM process parameters and, as a result, forecast sets of ideal parameters for the best quality attributes. The empirical models for response characteristics were developed using response surface methodology (RSM) in conjunction with second order central composite rotatable design. Desirability functions were utilised to optimise multiple performance measurements at the same time. Confirmation experiments on the whale\u27s optimization algorithm are also carried out to verify the results
Detecting Sugarcane Crop Yield using Decision Tree Classifier in the District of Muzaffarnagar
The district of Muzaffarnagar is the highest sugarcane producing district in Uttar Pradesh and therefore is an important industrial district as well. The district is part of Western UP and it shares the problems of the sugar industry elsewhere in the state: unpredictable demands and crop failures. In this context, predicting sugarcane demand and informing its production can turn to be just the key to solve some of the problems the industry faces.
The existing crop forecasting method for the cultivation of sugarcane used in UP relies, to a large degree, on subjective details, centred on the expertise of engineers in the sugar and alcohol field and on information on input demand in the supply chain. The measurement of the utility of the sample detection using NDVI images from the SPOT sensor used in the sensor\u27s determination over the ECMWF model was possible to infer the official productivity data reported in the previously selected municipalities and harvest. Significant features of the municipal productivity of a given village is listed in a decision tree, and out of the combinations of attributes the corresponding municipal productivity is rated as "Normal" on the average urban productivity scale. Using data from the NDVI time-series between 2013 to 2020, we can discern the three classes of productivity in the meanwhile. Findings indicate that productivity in January ranked as less than mean, mean, and more than mean. Implementation of Circular Business Models in Construction and Demolition Waste Management of India
In the world, around 30% of the total solid waste is construction and demolition waste. In India, as per the building material promotion council, 150 million tonnes of C&D waste is generated every year. In the total C&D waste, only one percent which is 6500 tonnes per day is recycled, mentioned in the report released by the Centre for science and environment, New Delhi. There is a rising gap between increasing demand and limited sources in the construction sector of India. It leads to market instability and environmental harm. Linear business model is most commonly used in present times. It is one of the main reasons for the increase of C&D wastes. This linear approach (source-commodity-waste) encourages the one-use of products. It leads to excessive dumping of C&D wastes in landfills, which is not a sustainable practice. Circular business models leads to closed-loop approach (source-commodity-waste-new source). The adoption of circular business models in C&D waste management is the possible solution for the decreasing resources. This study aims to discuss the implementation of various approaches including conceptual models, methods, and tools of circular business models in the C&D waste management in India, which leads to the circular economy and sustainable development. Through the study of recent literature sources, various data related to circular business models, circular economy are collected. Data analysis will be done using the literature review. This research will highlight the socio-economic, environmental benefits, improvements, and the applicability of circular business models in the C&D waste management of India. This paper is concluded that framing strict circular economy policies for India would encourage the implementation of CBM in C&D waste management which reduces the need for fresh resources and ensures sustainable development

This paper proposes eye(I) still know!, a voice control solution for the visually impaired people. The main purpose is even though the blind cannot see they can still know where to go and what to do! Nearby 60% of total blind population across the world is present in India. In a time where no one likes to rely on anyone, this is a small effort to make the blind independent individuals. This can be achieved using wireless communication, voice recognition and image scanning. The application with the use of object identification will priorly inform about the barriers in the path.
The software will use the camera of the device and scan all the obstacles with their corresponding distances from the user. This will be followed by audio instructions through audio output of the device.

Design of Microsleep Alerting System of Pilot to Reduce Air Accidents
The pilot’s micro sleep often caused by fatigue and/or drowsiness receives increasing attention for the last few years, especially after it became evident that pilot’s micro sleep also one of the major factor causing serious aircraft accidents.
The system comprises EOG, EEG and IR module. EEG measures the electrical activity of the brain called brain wave pattern through intrusive electrodes. EOG tapes the electrical potential of eyeball movements and the IR module senses the eye blink frequency. Then all these signals are applied to a robust signal processing unit and microcontroller. When an indicating feature corresponds to the micro sleep events are detected, the warning system is activated. This envisioned micro sleep alerting system would continuously monitor the alertness of the pilot and provides immediate warning signal, when micro sleep detected with high certainty
