    Trends of Rainfall Pattern in the Island Province of Catanduanes, Philippines

    The Island of Catanduanes is located in the eastern most fringe of Luzon considered to be the doorstep of typhoon path. The rainfall in the province is important in producing agricultural food to make life in the province sustainable. Hence, it is necessary to establish how the effect of climate change variable on the availability of water in the island, so that impending extreme drought or flooding will be mitigated. In addition to that, Climate change in the island has an impact on human activity, and  a treat from flooding  of variable weather pattern like seasonal monsoon rain and inter tropical convergence zone develop near the island. Using the data from the PAGASA-DOST, Climatology and Agro meteorology Division (CAD) of April 2020, from the Virac Doppler and Radar Weather in Catanduanes. Synoptic data were used to evaluate the rainfall for the last 30 years.  The rainfall pattern caused by the southwest monsoon (Habagat) most from June to September gives an average of 73.08mm for 3 decades. Northeast monsoon (Amihan) usually arrives on November and ends on March having an average rainfall of 103.78mm for 3 decades. It has been shown that the rainfall is increasing every year, the annual rainfall trends will increase of up to 10.76mm in the next 10 years. Studying the rainfall pattern and temperature will give us more precise assessment of the climatic condition in the island and give the community and the government the proper information for mitigating and planning on how we can handle climate change

    The purpose of this research was point out the management complexity of internal affairs of garment factories. Garment factories are type of complex systems with several divisions that cannot be managed manually. Today in Sri Lanka, most of garment factories are conducted their processes separately in division wise. In this proposed system, stock, employee, supply and suppliers, and delivery management can be done together in a single system. Getting the appropriate material, in the right quantity, at the right time is a primary objective of supply and suppliers management. It confirms the supplier\u27s stability and dependability. Purchasing is a critical and specialized role within a garment firm. This system provides a feature to store placed orders and their confirmed delivery date, and the procedure that is computerized. In essence, the receiving, storing, and distributing of supplies fall under the purview of the stock management. After stores the items while preventing deteriorations or harms that can be occurred, this division releases the stock also.[6] the proposed web application for a garment factory management system developed using mern stack (mongo db, express js, react js, node js). The system has four main functionalities for employee management, supplier management, inventory management, buyers, and delivery management.     Since the days of trading, used items have been widely used and recently, the marketing of these secondhand goods has received increased attention. Shopping ethically or acting ethically as a consumer has grown in popularity along with the rise in demand for used goods. People now prefer doing business online over the conventional means of satisfying their wants due to the huge advancement of technology. Furthermore, given that there are many who are unemployed and wish to earn money online, this kind of platform for buying and selling old goods is timely to address those needs as well. Making a platform for used goods sales and purchases appears to be an excellent idea in the age of digitization and WERECLAIM was designed to address several issues of purchasing and selling goods in the secondhand market. The purpose of this study is to investigate the major trends of used items buying and selling platforms and to emphasize the contribution of WERECLAIM to the modern used goods, buyers, and sellers.     LekLink - Scheduling Lecture Links and Lecture Capture for Academics

    This paper discusses the development of a lecture link and content management system that enables more specific lecture content and link management functionalities. With this software, every user can easily access their lecture links and information. The MERN stack was utilized in the creation of this system. Under the MERN Stack, we used Express.js for the back end, React.js for the front end, MongoDB as the database system, and Node.js as the testing environment for the local system development. With the assistance of Rest APIs and services, we have created the following application with enhanced performance and user interfaces that facilitate interaction with the system. The user is not required to create a separate meeting connection for material distribution in this system. As a result of implementing a service with API access points for generating lecture links, it is possible to handle everything with only a few clicks. Additionally, users can manage their recorded lecture materials using this system. With the suggested approach, any academic institution can easily manage its content

    Evaluation of Different Kinds of Formwork Systems in Indian Construction Industry

    In the construction industry, formwork plays a critical role in the construction of cast in situ reinforced concrete structures. Due to the rapid growth of the Indian economy, population growth, urbanization, and industrialization, the demand for housing and other built structures is increasing. To meet these requirements, quick construction is needed with less project completion time. The conventional system of formwork comprises nearly 50% of the total project completion time. Wastage and labour requirement is also high in conventional formwork systems. So, the use of modern formwork systems like aluminium formwork, tunnel formwork, etc., is increasing in the Indian construction industry. This paper aims to discuss and evaluate the various formwork systems available, and to show their impact on project duration, cost, quality, cycle-time, number of repetitions, labour requirements. Through literature review, data about various formwork systems available all over the world are collected. The current practices in India are known from various stakeholders through a questionnaire survey. Data analysis will be done using the data collected from the literature review and the questionnaire survey. The research will highlight the benefits and comparison of various types of formworks in terms of project duration, cost, quality, cycle-time, number of repetitions, labour requirements. This study concluded that implementing the modern formwork systems will improve the quality, safety, efficiency and minimise the cost and waste in construction.     Evaluation of Vehicle Tyre Aging Awareness as a Potential Hazard to Road Users in Ghana

    This study aimed to investigate tyre aging awareness level among various tyre users and determine their abilities to decode the date of manufacture (DOM) from Department of Transport (DOT) tyre identification number (TIN) printed on tyre’s sidewall. The study was carried out within the Accra Metropolitan and Ho Municipal Assemblies in Ghana. Data was obtained through the administration of 1191 questionnaires using simple random sampling technique to tyre consumers consisting of drivers (1021), vulcanizers (120) and tyre dealers (50).  Analyses of the results showed that majority of participants (77.5%) were aware of aging occurring in vehicle tyres but only 7.5% identified it as potential hazard to road users. The results also showed that participants had difficulty in decoding and interpreting information from the DOT’s TIN. Majority of the participants (over 60%) were able to interpret the numeric denoting rim sizes correctly yet only 16.8% construed “R” as radial ply type of tyre construction. Furthermore, most participants were not able to determine the DOM accurately in the week/year format from other tyre markings. There was negative correlation between gender and educational levels of participants and their ability to decode DOM in the various formats from other tyre markings.  The implication from the study suggest that most Ghanaian tyre consumers cannot decode very vital tyre information from DOT’s TIN, thus training and education is recommended for various stakeholders in the tyre industry
