Online Job Search: A Study on Optimizing Online Platforms to Facilitate Effective Job Search
Technological advancement along with the expanding number of users and internet-based businesses have created a worldwide market for both job recruiters and job seekers. This has drastically changed areas of job searching and job recruiting. Traditional methods of recruiting and job hunting have been obsoleting since the introduction of digitalized platforms to perform these tasks, leading to better results when matching the intents of job recruiters to job seekers. There are numerous online job search platforms but everyone one of them contains some major issues. We have examined the related studies and identified that these issues exist in the areas of screening job applications, optimizing job search queries, and demographic inequity in candidate selection. Although these topics have been researched independently, there is a lack of implementational solutions available to address all these issues together. As a result of our study on this deficiency, we have come up with a practical solution implemented as a web application addressing these issues and providing job seekers and job recruiters with an online platform with enhanced accuracy and user experience
Sales and Production Management System and Reporting using Centralized Database System
In the industry, one of the most extensively utilized systems is the Sales and Production management system. Since there were numerous departments inside the company, building up a shared sales and production management system enabled timely and effective control of the company\u27s stocks, order management, and efficient use. If you do the accounting using manual methods for the administration, as mentioned above, chores will also take a lot of paperwork and workforce. This study suggests a system
Application to Connect the Stock, Suppliers, and Deliverers via Inventory Management System
IPax is a 200-person IT firm situated in Sri Lanka. Due to the huge number of personnel, the decision was made to keep this inventory management system. Within the organization, employees require certain products for everyday usage. By generating orders through the system, employees may request from the warehouse manager the things they want. After an order has been created, the warehouse manager can see it as an order. If the requested item is in stock, the stock manager can accept and forward the request to the employee. There are several vendors that furnish the organization with the necessary products. When the warehouse manager changes the status of the order to "placed," the corresponding supplier is instantly notified and given the option to accept or reject the request. The warehouse manager is responsible for managing the available inventory and received inventory for each item that is purchased. This study can aid "IPax" in order to improve the company\u27s manufacturing service level. Consideration of inventory simulation is advocated for the establishment of various supplier demand management scenarios
The Embedded Online Pharmacies Web Application
The embedded online pharmacies system is proposed as a solution for the current medicinal drug shortage in Sri Lanka. With the current economic crisis, there is a serious issue in the society where medicine is lack and the patients do not get them in time. The proposed system consists of two major stakeholders who is the pharmacist and the candidate. It is a platform where all pharmacies are connected locally, and the candidate can search the availability of a particular medication in one go. This system helps in identifying the location of the pharmacy by correctly locating it through google maps. If a particular drug is not available in the online store or if the candidate cannot sort the issue individually, the system provides an option by providing pharmacy help service where a candidate can chat with a pharmacist or upload a prescription in correspondence to the preferred Area of the candidate. This proposed system gives a favorable solution where it connects a candidate to pharmacists around the country and it gives a vast knowledge on the availability of a drug in a particular area in a minimum amount of effort and time. Moreover, this system is a much needed, user-friendly, reliable, and efficient system
Enhancement of the Conventional Sri Lankan National Fuel Pass to a Comprehensive Fuel Station Application
Due to the economic crisis in Sri Lanka. There was a fuel supply problem because of the lack of foreign currency. Even though the government tried to supply the fuel demand, it was unsuccessful due to refueling the fuel since all people were trying full tank their vehicles. Therefore, the government took a new approach by creating a simple QR code scanning application. Even though the application was developed, the features were minimal. To give good insight and emotions to the users, improve their user experience, and maximize user usability Fuel Station App was developed. This is capable of viewing, Downloading, Regenerating the QR, Managing and altering the user profiles, and calculating the fuel consumption of the user vehicle. After the development phase, the app was tested, and the results were collected from the study. The survey confirmed that the users prefer the proposed solution to pump fuel and get good insights from the application
Automated Bakery Management System
Providing an automated system to manage the workload of ‘Puzzle’ is the objective of this research. ‘Puzzle’ is a bakery in Sri Lanka. They have been using a handwritten manual system from the origin of the company. They have been able to manage the crowd in the beginning, but with the growing customer crowd, they are having trouble handling their day-to-day workload. Since it is easy, efficient, and effective to have an automated system, they desperately wanted one for their shop. They also mentioned that they do not need a complex system at the beginning since they were used to making use of a manual system, and they wanted to take things slow. After getting used to the new, automated system, they might ask us to add new, complex functionalities such as attendance marking, salary calculation, and leave management. ‘Puzzle’ asked us to add three user types: admin, employee, and customer. Using the respective functionalities for each role will be beneficial for the shop and its users
Medical Guide System
Currently, getting access to emergency services and consumer health services requires calling a knowledgeable person on the regular phone or using different self-care techniques for illnesses without consulting a doctor. We are improving and expanding new channels of personal communication to facilitate interaction between emergency users and the emergency service system. Given the widespread use of smart devices in our society, we are developing a web application called "Quick Health" for emergency management, with the main feature of answering a question asked by another party or evaluating a given answer, as well as posting a problem and exchanging ideas with others. Our goal is to define a platform that is totally usable by everyone, regardless of their technological or linguistic proficiency. This paper\u27s main goal is to clarify how to adapt traditional applications to modern web applications by taking into account not only web technologies but also social networking behavior.

Learning Management System Built Using the MERN Stack
Web based applications play a main role in our day-to-day life and therefore, it is important to ensure the quality and reliability of web applications. With the sudden increase in use of web based applications for online and distant learning, it is important to address existing issues in current Learning Management Systems (LMS), so that users can benefit from a better, uninterrupted learning experience. This work mainly contributes to understanding how the MERN stack can be efficiently used in building a reliable and secure LMS that will provide its services free of charge so that students are provided with a free and uninterrupted learning experience. An LMS that is equipped with user handling functionality, managing courses and course materials, and maintaining a library, has been the focus of the study that resulted in producing this paper. The work also includes reasoning as to why the MERN stack was selected for developing the proposed system
A Hybrid Model of MEMD and PSO-LSSVR for Steel Price Forecasting
Herein, we propose a novel hybrid method for forecasting steel prices by modeling nonlinearity and time variations together to enhance forecasting adaptability. The multivariate empirical mode decomposition (MEMD)–ensemble-EMD (EEMD) approach was employed for preprocessing to separate the nonlinear and time variation components of a hot-rolled coil (HRC) price return series, and a particle swarm optimization (PSO)-based least squares support vector regression (LSSVR) approach and a generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity (GARCH) model were applied to capture the nonlinear and time variation characteristics of steel returns, respectively. The empirical results revealed that compared with the traditional models, the proposed hybrid method yields superior forecasting performance for HRC returns. The evidence also suggested that in capturing the price dynamics of HRC during the COVID-19 pandemic period, the asymmetric GARCH model with MEMD–LSSVR outperformed not only standard GARCH models but also the EEMD-LSSVR models. The proposed MEMD–LSSVR–GARCH model for steel price forecasting provides a useful decision support tool for steelmakers and consumers to evaluate steel price trends
Analyzing Berger Paints from Financial Perspective
The main objective of this paper is to analyze the overall financial position and liquidity of the company using ratio analysis. It shows the firm’s development (if any) of the previous 5 years. The secondary data is used for the entire study i.e. the last five years annual reports of Berger paints. Ratio analysis helps us to draw a comparison within the firm and outside the firm. The tabular representations of data are used for better understanding of the position of the firm and to compare one year with another within one go. Ratios are useful tools for the key members of the firm and they include the management, financiers, shareholders and creditors etc. Various types of ratios like liquidity ratios, profitability ratios, and solvency ratios are analyzed in this study. This paper tells not only about the financial position of the firm but also helps to identify the problems and offer suggestions to improve its performance.
