Französische Restaurantkritiken im Internet: Eine linguistische Analyse einer digitalen „Textsorte“
Get PDFRestaurantkritiken erfreuen sich, besonders in Frankreich, einer stetig wachsenden Beliebtheit und blicken als Textsorte auf eine längere historische Tradition zurück. Neben dem klassischen medialen Format der Restaurantkritik in Form von Restaurantführern oder Fachzeitschriften ist in den letzten Jahren eine Verlagerung der „Textsorte“ in den hypertextuellen Raum zu konstatieren. Dieser Entwicklung und dem sich dadurch bietenden Potenzial sollen im vorliegenden Beitrag, der die linguistische Beschreibung französischer Restaurantkritiken im Internet zum Ziel hat, Rechnung getragen werden. Der Versuch, Online-Restaurantkritiken auf eine einzige kommunikative Funktion festzulegen, muss aufgrund der Komplexität von Hypertexten, in denen unterschiedliche Funktionen ineinandergreifen, scheitern. Bei der Sprachhandlung des Bewertens bzw. Kritisierens scheint es sich jedoch um die dominierende, d.h. textsortenkonstitutive Funktion zu handeln, die allen untersuchten Textexemplaren gemeinsam ist. Weitere Sprachhandlungsmuster, wie z.B. das Informieren oder Beschreiben, lassen sich hingegen als untergeordnete Textfunktionen einordnen. Der Fokus der sprachlichen Analyse wird daher auf dem Sprachhandlungsmuster des Bewertens/Kritisierens liegen. Um die Frage zu beantworten, mittels welcher sprachlicher Ressourcen die kommunikative Handlung des Bewertens im Korpus umgesetzt wird, werden Themenbereiche identifiziert, die in den Restaurantkritiken einer Bewertung unterliegen. Die Analyse zeigt, dass die Textproduzenten großen Wert auf die kreative und individuelle Gestaltung ihrer Texte legen, was sich beispielsweise im Gebrauch von Authentizitätsstrategien widerspiegelt.Concerning restaurant reviews, we can state a constantly growing increase in popularity, especially in France. Restaurant reviews as text types are based on a long tradition. Nevertheless, we can observe that besides the realization in the traditional medial format, for example as printed restaurant guides or in journals of special interest, restaurant reviews are more and more shifted into the digital sphere. The linguistic description of French online restaurant reviews that is realized in the present contribution aims at taking into account this tendency as well as the numerous possibilities concerning the text design that result from this shift into the virtual sphere. Due to the semiotic complexity and the hypertextual character of restaurant reviews on the Internet, the attempt to assign one single communicative function to restaurant reviews must inevitably fail. Different text functions can be combined within one review, with evaluating and criticizing as the dominant ones that are common to the majority of the analyzed texts. As a result, the analysis is focused on the question by which linguistic means these core functions of French online restaurant reviews are realized. The linguistic analysis is preceded by the identification of core criteria which, in our corpus, are subject to an evaluation/ criticism. The analysis shows that the authors aim at being creative and at evoking a high degree of authenticity in their texts, in order to distinguish their critical reviews from competing reviews

Get PDFFrom its world premiere during the 1990s, anime and manga began to conquer all markets, and especially the last and largest that still resisted them, the United States. Our objective here is to trace some initial lines of research in which we propose to approach the phenomenon, and in particular, its impact on the Argentine market. From the existing bibliography it is possible to verify the dominant presence of imported manganime in the country, but also differences with respect to the most studied Anglo-Saxon examples. Our hypothesis maintains that although the diffusion and success of Japanese cultural products has been a global issue, the realization in each market was tied to particularities specific to each case, from the history of the cultural industry in each country to the socio-cultural conditions that informed the appropriation.A partir de su estreno a lo largo del mundo durante la década de 1990, el anime y el manga comenzaron a conquistar todos los mercados, y especialmente el último y más grande que aún se les resistía, los Estados Unidos. Nuestro objetivo aquí es trazar algunas líneas iniciales de investigación en la cual proponemos aproximarnos al fenómeno, y en particular, su impacto en el mercado argentino. A partir de la bibliografía existente es posible comprobar la presencia dominante del manganime importado en el país, pero también diferencias con respecto a los ejemplos anglosajones más estudiados. Get PDFGrußformeln übernehmen in der alltäglichen Kommunikation die wichtige Aufgabe, den Kontakt zwischen den Gesprächspartnern herzustellen und den Ausgangspunkt für den weiteren Austausch zu bilden. Auch in den audiovisuellen Medien erfüllen Grußformeln eine solche Kontaktfunktion. Dies gilt insbesondere auch für YouTube-Videos, da YouTuber*innen häufig eine möglichst persönliche Ansprache Ihres Publikums anstreben. Das Ziel der vorliegenden Studie umfasste mehrere Aspekte: Erstens sollten Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten zwischen Grußformeln in der alltäglichen Kommunikation und bei YouTube herausgearbeitet werden. Zweitens sollten spanische und deutsche Grußformeln von YouTuber*innen verglichen werden. Hierzu wurden die Grußformeln nach Sosa Mayor (2006) in die Unterkategorien der Begegnungsformeln, Erkundigungsformeln und Willkommensformeln unterteilt und ein Korpus spanischer und deutscher YouTube-Videos zusammengestellt, deren Eröffnungssequenzen im Folgenden analysiert wurden. Die Analyse ergab, dass die Youtuber*innen – im Vergleich zu Sosa Mayors (2006) Darstellung von alltagssprachlichen Grußformeln – ein weitaus breiteres Repertoire an Formeln verwenden, wobei diese neben der Kontaktfunktion auch der Erzeugung eines Wiedererkennungswertes dienen. Zudem ließ sich anhand der YouTube-Videos bestätigen, dass die Häufigkeit von Erkundigungsformeln bei spanischen Sprechern deutlich höher ist als bei deutschen.Salutation formulas in daily communication are used to create contact between speakers and build a starting point for further conversation. In audiovisual media salutation formulas also have this function to establish the contact between speakers. This is especially the case in YouTube videos, as YouTubers tend to address their audience in a very personal way. The aims of this study are the following: Firstly, finding differences and aspects in common between daily communication and communication on YouTube. Secondly, comparing salutation formulas of German and Spanish YouTubers. In order to achieve this, based on Sosa Mayor’s (2006) work salutation formulas have been devided into the subcategories „meeting formula“, „greeting questions“ and „welcome formulas“. A corpus of Spanish and German YouTube videos has been created to analyze the opening-scenes of those videos. The results of this analysis demonstrate that YouTubers use a far bigger repertoire of formulas than the one described by Sosa Mayor. Other than the function to establish contact they also use the salutation to increase their recognition factor. Furthermore, the analysis shows that the use of greeting questions is significantly higher between Spanish speakers than between Germans

La historia me absolverá: Die Entwicklung des Narrativs der kubanischen Geschichte in der revolutionären Propaganda von 1953 bis 1976
Get PDFIm vorliegenden Artikel wird die Entwicklung des Narrativs zur kubanischen Geschichte durch die revolutionäre Propaganda von 1953 bis 1976 untersucht. Aufgrund der Notwendigkeit zur Selbstlegitimierung im Zuge der Revolutionskonsolidierung wurde ein historisches Narrativ geschaffen, das diese Funktion auf ideeller Ebene erfüllen sollte. In einem dynamischen Prozess, der sich stets den politischen Rahmenbedingungen anpassen musste, wurde durch propagandistische Arbeit am Geschichtsnarrativ eine kollektive Identität, basierend auf der Revolution und deren Verbindung zu historischen Befreiungsbewegungen, geschaffen. Weiterhin galt die Aufmerksamkeit der Propaganda der Delegitimation der alten Republik und der Schaffung des Feindbildes USA. Dies äußerte sich in leichten Umdeutungen, aber auch in veritablen Paradigmenwechseln bzgl. der Wahrnehmung bestimmter historischer Ereignisse. Die Untersuchung basiert auf den veröffentlichten Reden Fidel Castros von 1953 bis 1976, einem kubanischen Geschichtsbuch von 1968, dem Rechenschaftsbericht des PCC von 1975 und der Präambel der kubanischen Verfassung von 1976.This article examines the development of the narrative regarding the Cuban history by the revolutionary Propaganda from 1953 to 1976. Due to the need for self-legitimation in the course of the consolidation of the Revolution, a historical narrative was created that was supposed to fulfill this function on an ideational level. In a dynamic process that always had to adapt to the political framework, the propaganda work on the narrative of history created a collective identity based on the Revolution and its connection to historical liberation movements. Also in focus were the propaganda of delegitimation of the old republic and the creation of an enemy image, represented by the USA. This was expressed in slight reinterpretations, but also in veritable paradigm shifts concerning the perception of certain historical events. The investigation is based on Fidel Castro’s published speeches from 1953 to 1976, a Cuban history book from 1968, the PCC accountability report from 1975 and the preamble to the Cuban Constitution from 1976

Radikale Rhetorik: Wie Jair Bolsonaro LGBTIQ*-Personen und -Themen aus dem öffentlichen Diskurs Brasiliens auszugrenzen versucht
Get PDFIm vorliegenden Beitrag wird die Rhetorik des amtierenden brasilianischen Präsidenten Jair Bolsonaro analysiert. Diese zeichnet sich durch eine extreme Härte und Rücksichtslosigkeit aus. Regelmäßig attackiert Bolsonaro Homosexuelle und Trans*-Personen, beruft sich dabei aber auf Familie, Anstand und gute Sitten. Zentrales Element seines Feindbilds ist die Sexualpädagogik, die er systematisch mit dem Stigmawort Pädophilie in Verbindung bringt. Unter Rückgriff auf den Diskurshistorischen Ansatz (DHA) nach Ruth Wodak und Martin Reisigl, der die Analyse von Sprache im Kontext ermöglicht, werden im Folgenden Kongressreden, Tweets und Blogposts untersucht. Im Mittelpunkt stehen dabei diskriminierende Strategien der Referenz und Prädikation, die sich gegen Menschen richten, die Bolsonaro aufgrund ihrer sexuellen Orientierung oder Geschlechtsidentität aus dem öffentlichen Diskurs auszugrenzen versucht.This article analyzes the offensive rhetoric of Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro. Bolsonaro regularly attacks homosexuals and trans*people, while referring to family, decency and good morals. He systematically relates sexual education – a key aspect of his enemy image – to the stigma word pedophilia. Using the Discourse-Historical Approach (DHA) according to Ruth Wodak and Martin Reisigl, which enables the analysis of language in context, this article examines congress speeches, tweets and blog posts. The focus is on discriminatory strategies of reference and predication directed against people whom Bolsonaro wants to exclude from public discourse because of their sexual orientation or gender identity
