Diventare estranea e marginale: Rappresentazioni e autorappresentazioni del soggetto migrante in Fra-intendimenti (2010) di Kaha Mohamed Aden
Get PDFIn a time where the political, social and media discourse represents the topic of migration and of flight as socially explosive subject, this article analyses how, in the short stories collected in Kaha Mohamed Aden’s Fra-intendimenti (2010), the migrant subject’s self-perception is formed by the stereotypes which their society of arrival cultivate, and how the real complexity experienced by the migrant subject is, at the same time, represented by a double referentiality. For this purpose, Edward Said’s reflections on the European and hegemonic construction of alterity and bell hooks’ intersectional approach which links race and gender will help, on the one hand, in highlighting the stereotypical perceptions of the society of arrival. On the other hand, Homi K. Bhabha’s concept of the Third Space, used to shed light on the dynamics of communication in migratory contexts, will contribute to the establishment of the complex reality experienced by the migrant subject. Thus, the reader is given the opportunity to change their own perception of reality.In un momento in cui il discorso politico, sociale e mediatico rappresenta il tema della migrazione e della fuga come socialmente esplosivo, questo articolo analizza come nei racconti di Fra-intendimenti (2010) di Kaha Mohamed Aden la percezione di sé del soggetto migrante venga formata dagli stereotipi che la società di arrivo proietta su loro e come, allo stesso tempo, si rappresenti la vera complessità della realtà vissuta dal soggetto migrante attraverso una doppia referenzialità. Da una parte si ricorrerà alle riflessioni di Edward Said sulla costruzione europea ed egemonica dell’alterità e all’approccio di bell hooks, che si focalizza sulle intersezioni tra race e gender, per evidenziare le percezioni stereotipe della società di arrivo; dall’altra, il concetto di «Terzo Spazio» sviluppato da Homi K. Bhabha per segnalare le dinamiche di comunicazione in contesti migratori contribuirà a mostrare la complessità della realtà sperimentata dal soggetto migrante. Così, il lettore o la lettrice ha la possibilità di cambiare la propria percezione della realtà

In this interview, Nassur Attoumani talks about a literary language and identities, literature networks, the „postcolonial“ writer as (un)conscious translator, the absent reader, the humanitarian crisis related with the „migration“ from the islands of Anjouan, Mohéli and Grande Comore to Mayotte and the myth of the pith helmet he has been proudly wearing for several decades.Auteur-Acteur-Compositeur-Dramaturge-Fondateur de maison de culture-Ancien Dj de bals poussière, Nassur Attoumani, le porteur de multiples casquettes fidèle à son casque colonial est l’une des voix artistiques les plus importantes de l’archipel des Comores. Dans cet entretien Nassur Attoumani parle des langues d’écriture et des identités littéraires, des réseaux littéraires, de l’écrivain « postcolonial » comme traducteur (in)conscient, du lectorat absent, de la crise humanitaire liée à la « migration » des îles d’Anjouan, de Mohéli et de la Grande-Comore vers Mayotte et du mythe du casque colonial qu’il porte fièrement depuis plusieurs décennies.

L\u27 Europe latine dans les olympismes alternatifs
Get PDFDuring the interwar period, the Olympic movement have difficulties to integrate women and workers into its midst. These are structured into national and international federations that organised alternative games to defend the legitimacy of women’s sport and promote the worker’s sport culture. This article proposes to consider the social, cultural and political dimension of this competitions by taking Latin Europe as a framework for analysis. The organisation of the games reveals the link between the associative, institutional and political network and the importance of sports infrastructures. The analysis of the results and the composition of the delegation supports a comparative history of sports margins in countries with different political trajectories. As a field for sports expression of the margins, alternative games bring out fears and disapproving speeches and reveal the social and political tensions of the interwar period : the place of women, the struggle of worker’s movements against fascism.Durant l’entre-deux-guerres, le mouvement olympique peine à intégrer en son sein les marges féminines et ouvrières. Ces dernières se structurent en fédérations nationales et internationales qui organisent des jeux alternatifs pour défendre la légitimité du sport féminin et promouvoir la culture sportive ouvrière. Cet article propose d’envisager la dimension sociale, culturelle et politique de ces compétitions en prenant l’Europe latine comme cadre d’analyse. L’organisation des jeux permet de révéler le lien entre réseau associatif, institutionnel, politique, et l’importance des infrastructures sportives. L’analyse des résultats et de la composition des délégations appuie une histoire comparée de la situation des marges sportives dans des pays aux trajectoires politiques différentes. Espace d’expression sportive des marges, les jeux alternatifs font rejaillir les craintes et les discours réprobateurs et sont révélateurs des tensions sociales et politiques de l’entre-deux-guerres : la place de la femme, le combat des mouvements ouvriers contre le fascisme.

„The Fury of Realistic Common Sense“: Shaws Saint Joan und die Imagination der Differenz
Get PDFAnhand der Konstruktion von Joan of Arc in Saint Joan untersucht dieser Artikel, wie George Bernard Shaw die Position einer Außenseiterin nutzt, um seine geschlechtspolitischen und ästhetischen Ziele zu verdeutlichen. Im Vergleich mit älteren Darstellungen der französischen Nationalheldin wird Shaws spezifische Rezeption des Jeanne-d’Arc-Mythos skizziert und dargestellt, wie Shaw Joans geschlechtliche Differenz als Fortsetzung seiner Kritik an Geschlechternormen entwickelt. Aufbauend darauf präsentiert Shaw Joan zudem als mentale Ausnahmefigur, über deren Visionen ein anderer Begriff des Realismus stark gemacht wird, mit dem Shaw sein eigenes schriftstellerisches Wirken identifiziert.Focusing on the construction of Joan of Arc in Saint Joan, this article explores how George Bernard Shaw employs the position of an outsider to illustrate his gender political and aesthetic goals. In comparison with older representations of the French national hero the article delineates Shaw’s specific reception of the Jeanne-d’Arc-myth and shows how Shaw develops Joan’s gender difference as a continuation of his critique of gender norms. Based on this, Shaw also presents Joan as an exceptional case of mental strength, whose visions are used to campaign for a different concept of Realism, with which Shaw identifies his own work as a writer

Un sport englezesc învățat din Franța: rugby-ul ca istorie a elitelor din România (1913-1940)
No full textDer vorliegende Beitrag untersucht die Entstehung des Rugby in Rumänien als eine auf Bukarest beschränkte Sportdisziplin der sozialen Elite. Während der elitäre Charakter auf die jeweilige soziale Herkunft der Spieler zurückzuführen ist, stellt die fehlende Verbreitung des Sports über die Hauptstadt hinaus eines seiner strukturellen Probleme dar. Das Interessanteste am rumänischen Rugby ist jedoch die rein französische Herkunft, die bereits in den Jahrzehnten kommunistischer Vorherrschaft öffentlich bekannt war. Diese beiden charakteristischen Merkmale (französische Wurzeln und elitärer Status) können hervorragend anhand der Teilnahme an zwei großen internationalen Turnieren, den Interalliierten Spielen 1919 sowie den Olympischen Spielen 1924, die beide in Paris ausgetragen wurden, untersucht werden
