    Analysis of block adaptive type-II progressive hybrid censoring with Weibull distribution

    The estimation of unknown model parameters and reliability characteristics is considered under a block adaptive progressive hybrid censoring scheme, where data are observed from a Weibull model. This censoring scheme enhances experimental efficiency by conducting experiments across different testing facilities. Point and interval estimates for parameters and reliability assessments are derived using both classical and Bayesian approaches. The existence and uniqueness of maximum likelihood estimates are established. Consequently, reliability performance and differences across different testing facilities are analyzed. In addition, a Metropolis–Hastings sampling algorithm is developed to approximate complex posterior computations. Approximate confidence intervals and highest posterior density credible intervals are obtained for the parametric functions. The performance of all estimators is evaluated through an extensive simulation study, and observations are discussed. A cancer dataset is analyzed to illustrate the findings under the block adaptive censoring scheme.補正完畢CH

    隨著自由民主的時代演進,重視人權的理念與制度逐漸成為普世價值,處於相對弱勢的身心障礙族群,其追求健康與運動的權利越來越受到先進國家與社會的關注,而推動與發展帕拉運動即是倡議生存、自由、尊重、平等的最佳證明。儘管臺灣在推展帕拉運動已有近四十年的歷史,但如何與國家競技運動的政策方向與管理制度相互配合,甚至建構屬於身心障礙族群的帕拉運動系統,有賴借鏡世界上在帕拉運動取得成就的國家。本文探討在De Bosscher等(2006)提出的「國際運動成功之運動政策因素」(Sport Policies Leading to International Sporting Success framework, SPLISS)模式,探討該模式對各政策面向的定義與相互關係,分析世界各國競技運動政策的實例,進而探究SPLISS模式在帕拉運動中的獨特性,及指出臺灣帕拉運動的發展現況與挑戰,為回應這些挑戰,結合SPLISS模式對帕拉運動政策的分析,本研究提出七項建議:臺灣應增加帕拉運動經費支持的多元化,整合國內與帕拉運動相關的體育行政單位,建構完善的帕拉運動選才與培訓制度,提供帕拉運動員訓練、參賽與退役後的各種必要支持,積極參與或申辦國際帕拉運動賽事,提升運動教練與技術人員對帕拉運動的專業知能,並鼓勵帕拉運動科學研究,以建構一個適合臺灣國情的高效能帕拉運動系統,並成為引領國際體育運動成功的政策模式。補正完畢TW

    Continuous Genetic Algorithm Aiding to Quadcopter Controller Design

    The practicability of the continuous Genetic Algorithm (GA) is exploited to optimize the Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller gains, in this paper. By minimize the Integral of Square Error (ISE) fitness function of the control performance, the advantages of the continuous GA, such as create and update the new and contiguous parameters, are presented.     Optimization of setpoint-based fuzzy gain scheduling and its application to a linear stage

    PID controllers have been employed in servo systems for decades. It is well known that an underdamped system has a fast response but accompanied by undesired overshoot, whereas an overdamped system has no oscillation at all but its response is too slow. We propose a setpoint gain scheduling scheme for PD-type controllers using fuzzy logic, which is simple and effective to implement in the industry, to take the advantages of fast response and oscillation suppression. Our objective is to move a positioning system to a target position and have it settle down as soon as possible. In order to optimize the parameters, we use Powell's method to provide conjugate direction search and the golden section method to find the optimal step size along the search direction. A ballscrew linear stage is used to demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed scheme successfully. In an experiment of 80 mm movement, it takes additional 0.01 s only to settle down after 0.32 s move time by using the proposed method, whereas it takes additional 0.23 s to settle down by using the auto-tuned conventional PD-type controller.補正完畢SG

    Analytical Framework for Fast Identification of Hydrogeological Boundaries and Aquifer Parameters in Confined Aquifers

    Hydrogeological boundaries, such as recharge boundaries (e.g., rivers) and impervious boundaries (e.g., faults), significantly influence groundwater flow and resource management. Previous methods have improved the estimation of aquifer parameters and the distance from the observation well to the image well; however, they do not address boundary type identification within a unified framework and require graphical steps to determine the locations of the image well and the boundary. Hence, this study develops an analytical approach for confined aquifers by using piecewise linear regression combined with a Bayesian classification to determine the boundary type. It then integrates the Theis method, image well theory, and simulated annealing to simultaneously identify the image well location and aquifer parameters, including transmissivity and storage coefficient. Finally, the boundary location and orientation are separately delineated by equations developed based on known locations of the pumping well and the image well. The proposed framework is applied to pumping test data from two field sites — near the Tongue River in Montana and Dry Lake in Nevada (U.S. Bureau of Reclamation) — demonstrating its accuracy and practical applicability. By unifying boundary type classification, boundary location determination, and parameter estimation within a single analytical framework, this method provides a more comprehensive and time-efficient solution than existing approaches. Its implementation can improve groundwater resource management and support infrastructure development in settings where hydrogeological boundaries play a crucial role.補正完畢TW

    High-pressure electrocoagulation system with periodic air replenishment for efficient dye wastewater treatment: Reaction dynamics and cost evaluation

    Ferrous ions are the major Fe species generated from sacrificial iron anodes, but ferric ions are the more active ingredients for the removal of organic matters in the acidic pH region. Therefore, a novel high-pressure electrocoagulation (HPEC) system was devised to facilitate the Fe(II)-to-Fe(III) conversion under acidic pH conditions. The effects of operation pressure (0–3 bar) and initial pH value (3–10) on the removal of color and organics from synthetic dye wastewater containing Eriochrome Black T (EBT) were investigated. The operation costs of the HPEC were compared with that of the conventional electrocoagulation (CEC) processes. The HPEC outperformed the CEC, achieving complete color removal after a short reaction time. In the initial pH range of 8 owing to the formation of Fe(III)-EBT complexes and the ineffective removal of these complexes by coagulation or adsorption. The high removal efficiencies attained under acidic and neutral pH conditions were attributed to the effective Fe(II)-to-Fe(III) conversion by dissolved oxygen under pressure followed by the formation of Fe(OH)補正完畢TW
