The increasing dealing of professional exchange rate forecaster in the financial market exposes the decision of the financial investor to financial uncertainty. Thus, this paper examines the impact of financial uncertainty on professional exchange rate forecast in Nigeria using a monthly data from the period January, 2006 to June, 2022. The paper considers monetary policy and financial uncertainty to account for different dimensions of uncertainty. Based on the Bayesian liner regression utilized, it is observed that stock market activities proxied by stock price index, improves economic performance in Nigeria. The forecasting performance is evaluated by comparing two of the most common measures to judge forecasting accuracy, Root Mean Square Errors (RMSE) and Mean Absolute Error (MAE). The result of the RSME, MAE and MAPE indicate a good accurate prediction of the model, hence, the model is perfect and no error. Therefore, the model has a good forecasting performance. However, interest rate and stock price are predicted to fall. The study concludes that past values of inflation rate, interest rate and stock market price are significant determinant for forecasting professional exchange rate in Nigeria. Policy implication from this result is that government should be prepared to combat high rate of inflation because of its negative impact on the welfare of the populace. The investors can take advantage of future low interest rate and stock price by planning to expand their businesses. Since stock market activities improves economic performance, increasing investment will lead to increase in demand and increase in profit. Since the exchange rate is predictable, the professionals will also take advantage of this to increase their profits

In both industry and academics, there has been a lot of discussion on how auditing might lessen corruption. The current study's goal is to evaluate the most recent developments and knowledge gaps on the relationship between public sector auditing and corruption. It is based on assessments of the academic literature we thus make broad generalizations about the state of the most recent discoveries. The earlier writing on corruption emphasized political and economic viewpoints. There is still a significant knowledge vacuum in this field, particularly with regard to the practical role of public sector auditing in corruption detection and deterrent in developing countries, despite the fact that data suggests that it aids in the fight against corruption. Furthermore, there is a paucity of literature that explains in detail how audit types conducted by the Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) may contribute to a reduction in corruption, as well as which audit types are more effective. There is also very little in-depth discussion of the difficulties that public sector auditing faces in detecting and preventing corruption. The study therefore recommends that the role of auditing should be given much attention on how to combat corruption; auditors’ independence should be strengthen and sustained in public sectors, most especially in developing nations which is certain to provide the liberty and lack of restrictions the auditors need from undue influence and interference from any party and to remain unbiased in discharging their audit obligations

In Nigeria, inflation dynamics and food prices have been a major concern for policymakers and the public alike. In recent years, the country has experienced a surge in food prices, which has contributed to the rise in inflation. This study employs the linear autoregressive distributive lag model to investigate inflation dynamics and food prices in Nigeria, with a specific focus on identifying the fundamental factors driving the increase in food prices. Using annual data from 1990 to 2021, the study examines the relationships between oil price, exchange rate, money supply, and government expenditure, and their varying long- and short-term effects on inflation and food prices in Nigeria. The Bound test cointegration results confirm that the variables are cointegrated, highlighting the presence of a long-term relationship among them. Our findings reveal that higher oil prices exert a short-term large positive influence on food prices, but their long-term impact is negligible. Conversely, increased money supply significantly impacts food prices in both the short and long term. Additionally, an increased exchange rate inversely impacts food prices in the long-term. These results highlight crucial policy implications for curbing food price increases, reducing the welfare effects while, maintaining lower prices and ensuring its sustainability
