Transdisciplinary Approaches To Developing A Mice Tourism Model Based On Local Cultural Heritage: A Case Study Of Binh Duong

Purpose: This study aims to develop a culturally grounded Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism model for Thanh Hoi and Bach Dang islands in Binh Duong, Vietnam. Although both islands possess rich tangible and intangible heritage—from archaeological sites and ancient communal houses to pomelo orchards and wartime narratives—they have yet to feature in formal tourism circuits. The novelty lies in employing a transdisciplinary co-design approach, involving academic researchers, local residents, cultural officers, and tourism businesses. Method: The study employed Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) workshops with community members, semi-structured interviews with 35 stakeholders (including local authorities and tourism providers), and field observations. The conceptual framework integrated systems knowledge, target knowledge, and transformation knowledge, analyzed using thematic coding and comparative stakeholder analysis. Result: Key findings reveal that while the islands have high cultural tourism potential, development is hindered by infrastructure gaps (internet, event venues), fragmented branding, and limited service capacity. Stakeholders proposed innovative MICE products—such as agro-heritage retreats and river-ecology workshops. The study concludes that a stakeholder-driven, heritage-based MICE model can position these rural islands as distinctive destinations. Future research should test the model’s scalability in similar riverine heritage sites across Southeast Asia

A Qualitative Policy Analysis of the Trump 2.0 Universal Tariff

Purpose: The United States’ April 2025 “Trump 2.0” order— combining a blanket 10 percent tariff with country-specific “reciprocal” surcharges—represents the largest single expansion of U.S. protectionism since the 1930s. For Indonesia, the measure imposes a 32 percent duty on its exports, threatening one tenth of merchandise sales and large segments of Java’s labour-intensive manufacturing. This study provides an early-stage qualitative policy analysis of the shock. Method: A triangulated research design integrates: (i) comparative historical review of past U.S. tariff waves; (ii) desk analysis of high- frequency customs and freight data through March 2025; and (iii) input–output tracing with the 2021 Indonesian Supply–Use Table to assess import-content vulnerability. Result: Findings indicate a first-year export shortfall of ~USD 1 billion (0.3 % of GDP), with 55 % of exposure concentrated in HS 85 electrical machinery, HS 61–62 apparel, and HS 64 footwear. A 10 % rupiah depreciation would raise production costs by 4.7 % in West Java electronics and 3.2 % in Central Java garments, given import coefficients of 0.47 and 0.32. Indirect spillovers are significant: China and ASEAN supply 65 % of Indonesia’s intermediate imports and are discounting diverted components, threatening assembly-line utilisation below the 85 % shutdown threshold. Policy resilience requires a five-point package: surplus-management diplomacy, selective MFN concessions on U.S. capital goods, accelerated Asia– Africa market diversification, safeguards against diversion imports, and coordinated macro-financial support for export-oriented SMEs. Future research should combine post-implementation customs data with firm-level panels to measure household income effects and evaluate mitigation efficacy

Measuring Hybrid e-Logistics Service Quality from B2C e-Commerce

Purpose: This study aims to test and analyze two hybrid models of logistics service quality (LSQ) and their influence on satisfaction, loyalty, and purchase intent in the future. The context of this research is business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce with a case study on Tokopedia. This study integrates the traditional LSQ model that adds 3 dimensions, namely order availability, order returns, and quality assurance consisting of the quality of personnel contacts, handling of order non-conformities, and the return process.  Method: The survey was conducted by distributing a questionnaire through a google form. Respondents were selected based on predetermined criteria, and data were analyzed using structural equation modelling to examine the relationship between research variables. Result: The results of the study showed that 6 hypotheses were supported and 4 hypotheses were not supported. Order accuracy, order availability, ordering procedures, and quality assurance affect customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction affects loyalty, and loyalty affects future purchase intention. Hypotheses 1, 2 and 5, namely the influence of timeline, order conditions and information quality on customer satisfaction are not supported. Hypothesis 9 is also unsupported, which suggests that customer satisfaction has no significant effect on future purchase intention

Determinan audit report lag dengan adopsi teknologi informasi sebagai moderasi pada bursa efek tiga negara

Purpose – This study aims to examine the factors that influence audit report lag, including auditor reputation, audit opinion, and audit tenure, with the moderating role of information technology adoption across stock exchanges in three countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, and Australia. Methods – This research uses a quantitative method with secondary data. The tool used for data processing and analysis is EViews 13, employing a panel data regression model. Findings - The results of the study reveal that: (1) Auditor reputation has a negative effect on audit report lag, (2) Audit opinion does not have a negative effect on audit report lag, (3) Audit tenure does not have a negative effect on audit report lag, (4) Information technology adoption does not moderate the effect of auditor reputation on audit report lag, (5) Information technology adoption does not moderate the effect of audit opinion on audit report lag, and (6) Information technology adoption does not moderate the effect of audit tenure on audit report lag. Implications - A This study reinforces agency theory by showing that auditor reputation can accelerate audit report lag. However, the insignificant findings of audit opinion and audit tenure suggest that traditional factors may not always apply in a cross-country context, thus audit theory should consider contextual factors and technological developments. Originality - The novelty of this research lies in the use of information technology adoption as a moderating variable and the comparative analysis across three countries

Unraveling The Nephroprotective Potential of Curcuma zedoaria Against Chronic Kidney Disease: A Network Pharmacology Approach

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) remains a major global health concern with limited treatment options. Curcuma zedoaria , a traditional medicinal plant, has shown potential in managing inflammatory and oxidative stress-related conditions. This study aimed to explore its nephroprotective mechanisms through a network pharmacology approach. A total of 12 bioactive compounds were identified from C. zedoaria and screened for drug-likeness. SwissTargetPrediction revealed multiple molecular targets, with curdione, dehydrocurdione, and curcumin showing the highest connectivity. Integration with CKD-associated genes from GeneCards and GSE66494 datasets yielded 241 common targets. Using Cytoscape, a compound–target–disease network was constructed, highlighting key biological processes such as inflammation, apoptosis, and fibrosis. PPI analysis identified top hub proteins including HSP90AA1, STAT3, SRC, AKT1, MAPK1, and MAPK3. Functional enrichment via GO and KEGG pathways revealed significant involvement of EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor resistance and HIF-1 signaling pathways. These findings suggest that C. zedoaria exerts protective effects through a multitarget mechanism modulating critical pathways in CKD progression. This study provides a theoretical basis for further experimental validation and supports the potential use of C. zedoaria as a complementary therapy in CKD management.   Submitted: 21-05-2025, Revised: 15-06-2025, Accepted: 17-06-2025, Published regularly: June 202

The long-term psychological impact of a traumatic natural disaster, such as the 2004 Aceh Tsunami, is still poorly documented in the scientific literature. The purpose of this study was to describe the mental health status of survivors of the 2004 Aceh Tsunami 20 years after the Aceh Tsunami, utilizing a descriptive quantitative research design. The study participants were 197 tsunami survivors selected by purposive sampling, with specific criteria: (1) being victims directly exposed to the 2004 Aceh Tsunami; and (2) being members of the Aceh community. The Mental Health Inventory-18 (MHI-18; α = .93) was utilized as the data collection instrument for mental health in this study. The results of the data analysis showed that the majority of survivors (78.17%) had low mental health or psychological well-being, reflecting ongoing psychological disorders even though 20 years had passed since the disaster. The findings of this study indicate that the psychological impact of the Aceh Tsunami continues in the long term, significantly affecting psychological well-being. The results of this study emphasize the need for special attention to the mental health of disaster survivors, as well as the importance of long-term support programs to mitigate the long-term psychological impacts post-disasters.Dampak psikologis jangka panjang dari bencana alam yang traumatis, seperti Tsunami Aceh 2004, masih belum banyak didokumentasikan dalam literatur ilmiah. Full text link
Abstract—Capecitabine has a common side effect of hand and foot syndrome (HFS). It is cutaneous capecitabine’s adverse effect, which generally occurs within 11 to 360 days. In this case report assesses the delayed onset of capecitabine because HFS did not occur within 11-360 days but rather took longer, specifically 720 days. A female patient of 82 years old with a history of breast cancer was diagnosed four years ago. She did not undergo radiation and surgery, only capecitabine tablets as neoadjuvant therapy since April 2021. In August 2023, the patient complained of pain, dryness, and blood in both legs. Analysis of side effects of the drug was carried out using the Naranjo Probability Scale. Therapy management during hospitalization involves stopping capecitabine and performing wound care by applying fusidic acid cream and the patient's complaints improved on the eleventh  day of therapy. Capecitabine discontinuation is the most effective strategy to minimize the effect of HFS. Further research is to determine the effectiveness of emollient application as a prevention for HFS.  Keywords: adverse effects, capecitabine, hand and foot syndrome   Abstrak—Sindrom tangan dan kaki efek samping yang sering terjadi pada penggunaan kapesitabine.
