The experimental was decided for determination optimize consumer wanted as desirability value from using three nominal preference scales of performance, function and cognitive to create new response. Using a Taguchi design was used for design factors including the performance, function and cognitive. the experimental condition with full factional design 25 with 6 blockings was employed in the experiment for 6 samplings test as elderly 60-80 years old, males and females respectively consumers in northern Thailand in Chiang Mai. The result demonstrated that by using more ceramic, big ceramic size, Herbal ingredients #2, Fabric types #2 and Streamer to be heating source can optimize the desirability value for Thai Herb Ceramic Massage Product of 0.9 in the regression model with the optimizer method. Important factor is heating source, it was only significantly parameter to the response
The Multi-Period Surgical Scheduling with Capacity Constraint: A Mathematical Modelling Approach
This research proposes a mathematical model for multi-period surgical scheduling problem with capacity constraint over a particular time horizon. The goal is to schedule a list of patients who must undergo various kinds of operations by different eligible hospitals. In particular, each operation must be performed in a particular time period and different operations of one patient can be performed by different eligible hospitals. In addition, each hospital has limited surgery capacity for each time period. The problem is formulated with a multi-objective model using the weighted sum approach of two objectives: minimization of makespan and minimization of total least preference assignment score. The experiment is executed using the simulated data according to the real treatments of cleft lip and palate patients. The results show that the model yield the correct assignment and operation sequence respected to all constraints. Thus, this proposed mathematical model can be further used as smart decision tool in surgical scheduling in hospital network
Does Rubber Agriculture Development Affects the Rubber Crop Production Rate in Malaysia?
Productivity is an ability to produce an output from a given set of inputs. Indirectly generated productivity will reflect efficiency and effectiveness in the use of resources such as technology, labor and others. Therefore, the objective of this study is to examine the long -term relationship and short -term relationship between the products of the rubber agriculture sector affect the income of Malaysia. Next, is to study the cause and effect relationship in the study variables. Several components have been identified in this study such as natural rubber production in Malaysia (TP), national income (GDP), investment (INV), and labor productivity (LF). This study examines the relationship between the extent to which the output of the rubber agriculture sector affects the income of Malaysia for the years 1990 to 2014. The data of this study was obtained from the Department of Statistics Malaysia, World Bank, and the Department of Labor Malaysia. The analyzes used to analyze these variables are the root unit method, Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) and Granger Causality method. The results of this study found that there is a positive relationship between the variables that can increase the output of the rubber agriculture sector. To increase the output of the rubber agriculture sector, various things need to be done. Besides, in improving technology related to rubber agriculture as well as open more job opportunities for the youth. At the same time, training schemes and capital incentives from the government are also able to encourage entrepreneurs to thrive in this sector
Implementing the e-Kinerja System at the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning, Cirebon Regency, Indonesia
Implementing the e-Kinerja system at the Cirebon Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning Service did not run smoothly and optimally. Several obstacles occurred during the implementation of the e-Kinerja policy. Constraints arise, such as not all employees can use electronic systems, and some employees stutter about technology due to age factors. In addition, it isn\u27t easy to adapt to new things based on electronics. Of these, the current investigation seeks to study the implementation of the e-Kinerja system to improve employee performance. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis method. The theory of policy implementation used in this research is George Edward III. The study results concluded that implementing the e-Kinerja system at the Cirebon Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning Service did not make all run optimally. Therefore, judging from George Edward III\u27s policy implementation model, which consists of communication, resources, the attitude of implementers, and bureaucratic structure, the communication factor needs to be socialized among employees. The obstacles faced in implementing the e-Kinerja system to improve employees\u27 work performance at the Cirebon Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning Service are the limited capacity of human resources and the lack of professionalism of employees. The efforts to overcome these obstacles are educating and training employees and coaching employees to improve professionalism
The Factors that Influence Job Transfer and Its Impact on Organizational Performance: Mini-Review Approach
Job transfer is a way for an individual to obtain more experience and exposure. Because fewer individuals inhabit each successive layer as they ascend the organizational hierarchy, it is frequently more available than a promotion. Various strategies for implementing activities continue to be developed by Human Resources (HR) practitioners and researchers who regulate the organizational structure, human capital, employee performance, employee satisfaction, and task execution. Many studies have been conducted to identify the factors that influence employee transfer positions. This study aims to provide an overview of other factors that can encourage the success of job transfer. This study explicitly analyzes the content and context of the relationship between job transfer and organization, resources, learning and development, rewards, and employment relationships. This study uses a qualitative method by reviewing 27 journals from previous researchers. This study showed an association between variables such as organization, resources, learning and development, remuneration, and employee relations in transferring positions directly or indirectly through motivation as an intermediate variable. Furthermore, this study found that organization, resources, learning and development, remuneration and employment relations, and remuneration and employment relations directly or indirectly affect the transfer of positions. Thus, we expected to provide a new theory for predicting employee performance improvement through job transfers for improving organizational performance
Exploring the Community Involvement in Smart City through a Co-creation Approach in Indonesia
Smart City is a model for developing a city to create a better quality of life using Information and Communication Technology to increase awareness, intelligence, welfare, and citizen participation. Currently, many cities declare themselves as smart cities. Therefore, they invest a lot in information technology infrastructure to provide website and application-based services. However, this has not been balanced with community development by fostering participation in public life processes and outputs. This study aims to explore community involvement in the context of a smart city through a co-creation approach. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research techniques sourced from journals, proceedings, books, and official government websites that provide information relevant to the research focus. This study reveals that community participation is not difficult to find because Indonesia has social capital and is practised until now in the public life of urban communities, for example, social awareness, deliberation, and mutual cooperation. However, community participation is still limited to input, not yet reaching the process and output, whereas Information Technology is still limited to replacing the offline system with online. Based on the results and discussion, this study suggests the need to expand and increase community involvement in resolving public affairs and combining forms of community involvement in both online and offline systems
