Marketing Strategies for SMEs in Enhancing Sustainable Business Performance: A Case Study of Pekalongan City, Indonesia
This study examines the sustainability challenges in Indonesia\u27s small and medium-scale batik industry, focusing on Sustainable Industrial Performance (SIP), Marketing Orientation (MO), and Green Marketing Mix (GMM). Consumer awareness of environmental sustainability influences the demand for eco-friendly batik products, making sustainable practices critical. The research investigates how SIP, MO, and GMM interact to affect sustainability outcomes in the batik sector. The study tests ten hypotheses with two independent variables (MO and GMM) and one dependent variable (SIP). Data were collected from 238 SMEs in Pekalongan, Central Java, Indonesia, using a questionnaire and analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings reveal that marketing orientation and green marketing strategies significantly impact economic, environmental, and social sustainability performance. However, marketing orientation does not influence green marketing strategies, and GMM does not mediate the relationship between marketing orientation and sustainability performance. This study provides insights into adopting sustainable practices and the role of marketing strategies in enhancing the batik industry\u27s sustainability

It has high percentages on language learning potential, meaning focus and authenticity of CALL evaluation criteria. WhatsApp got the most perception among them. Moreover, the challenges encountered by the participants are technical, material, and interaction problems. To sum up, ESP students perceived those three digital learning platforms in their speaking class positively despite the challenges they faced when using them. This finding could be a consideration for ESP practitioners and students when choosing the appropriate digital learning platform for their students. Moreover, a variation in instruments and analyzing different skills could gain deeper insight into this issue
Comparative Legal Analysis of Maritime Technology Utilization in Indonesia and China
Managing maritime borders is a vital issue that needs special attention from coastal nations such as Indonesia and China. Both designed and deployed various systems to monitor marine activity as declared in UNCLOS 1982. The goal of this study is to give a comparison of marine surveillance technologies and to analyze the legality of their usage under international law. The research methods include literature review and analysis of material from official sources, scientific publications, and relevant reports. This study discovered that Indonesia has created an integrated maritime surveillance system based on satellite, radar, and Automatic Identification System (AIS) technologies. Besides that, China is deploying more advanced and extensive maritime surveillance and monitoring technologies, such as a modern fleet of patrol vessels, aircraft, and remote monitoring equipment. Indonesia and China have generally employed marine surveillance technologies in compliance with international law principles such as territorial sovereignty, freedom of navigation, and maritime law enforcement. However, there are indications of limits on access to information and potential privacy concerns that should primarily concern the Chinese. Stronger regional coordination and collaboration are required to guarantee that the deployment of marine surveillance technologies complies with international law and current maritime security concepts
Examining the Effect of Third-Party Funding and Non-Performing Loan on Syariah Banking Financing: Moderating Role of Profitability
Today, the expansion of the Sharia banking industry has shown sustained development over time, indicating satisfactory growth and enhancement, particularly in asset accumulation. Profitability moderates the relationship between third-party funds and non-performing financing on financing in Sharia banking (a case study of all Sharia commercial banks for 2018-2022). This study determines the influence of Third-Party Funds (DPK) and non-performing Financing (NPF) on financing with profitability as a moderating variable. This research uses a type of research, namely quantitative research using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The samples used were 10 banks. The analytical tool used is multiple linear analysis using the EVIEWS application. Research results show that third-party funds have no effect on financing at Sharia Commercial Banks, non-performing financing has no effect on financing at Sharia Commercial Banks, and profitability cannot moderate third-party funds and non-performing financing on financing at Sharia Commercial Banks
Green Supply Chain Model for Japanese Automotive Industry in Malaysia Using Level 2 SCOR
Environmental issues have become a significant concern for both the Malaysian government and the public. Environmental impacts arise at all stages of a product’s supply chain life cycle. This study aims to identify the relationship between the Green SCOR Model at Level 2 and operational performance. Specifically, it investigates whether the process categories within the Green SCOR Model affect operational performance. Twenty-six hypotheses were tested, focusing on the core processes of the Green SCOR Model: plan, source, make, deliver, and return. The study was conducted at Mitsubishi Motors Sdn Bhd, located in Shah Alam, Selangor. Probability sampling was employed, with simple random sampling used to select participants. Data were collected via a survey questionnaire administered at Mitsubishi Motors Sdn Bhd. The findings reveal that six processes within the Green SCOR Model have a significant relationship with operational performance: source make-to-order, enable source, make-to-stock, make-to-order, deliver stocked product, and deliver return MRO product. This study provides an overview of the current state of Mitsubishi Motors’ supply chain and offers managers a clear understanding of supply chain management in the Japanese automotive industry, enabling them to enhance both supply chain and operational performance
Islamic Bank Financing and Price Stability in Indonesia: Assessing the Role of Interest Rates as a Potential Constraint
Today, a country maintains price stability to achieve economic stability. Price stability is essential for achieving overall economic stability in a country. Ensuring price stability requires reforms in regulatory and legal institutions responsible for fiscal and monetary policy. However, it can also be undermined by economic vulnerabilities resulting from flawed domestic financial policymaking. This study analyses the effects of various Islamic banking financing schemes—namely murabahah, mudharabah, musyarakah, istishna’, qardh, and ijarah—on price stability in Indonesia. Additionally, it examines the moderating role of interest rates on the relationship between Islamic financing schemes and price stability. The study employs monthly time series data from January 2009 to March 2024 (a total of 183 months). The findings reveal that interest rates, qardh financing, and ijarah financing negatively affect price stability. In contrast, musyarakah financing contributes positively to price stability, while murabahah and mudharabah financing show no significant impact on price stability. Further, the results from the second model indicate that the moderation of interest rates enhances the stabilizing effect of murabahah financing. However, interest rate moderation weakens the stability effect of musyarakah, istishna’, and ijarah financing. Therefore, it is imperative for Bank Indonesia, as the policymaker, to carefully design and implement policies that effectively maintain price stability, especially considering its tendency to fluctuate significantly in Indonesia
The Effect of Material Flow Cost Accounting on Company Sustainability: Moderating Role of Green Accounting in Consumer Goods Industry Companies
This study analyzes the influence of material flow cost accounting in improving company sustainability. Material flow cost accounting. This research uses proxies for production costs, factory area, and output or production value. The population used in this research is all goods and consumption companies listed on the IDX for the 2015-2021 period. Through Purposive sampling, the samples obtained were 6 companies in that period, so 42 data were obtained. Data processing in this research was carried out using multiple regressions and moderated regression methods with an absolute difference value approach. This research concludes that MFCA (production costs) negatively and significantly affects company sustainability. This means that reducing production costs to get higher profits will increase the company\u27s sustainability. Meanwhile, MFCA (factory area and output or production value) positively and significantly influences company sustainability. This shows that the wider the company\u27s area and every time there is an increase in production results, the company\u27s sustainability can increase. Besides, green accounting cannot moderate material flow cost accounting on company sustainability

The Effect of Principals’ Reward System on Learners’ Academic Performance in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education
Rewarding productive teachers signifies recognition by school leadership. This study aimed to determine the influence of principals’ reward systems on learners’ academic performance in K.C.S.E., grounded on Karl Ludwig von Bertalanffy’s General Systems Theory. An explanatory sequential mixed-method design was employed, prioritizing quantitative data in phase one, followed by qualitative data in phase two. The target population included 4,691 participants: 340 principals, 1,360 Heads of Departments (H.O.Ds), and 2,991 teachers, with a sample of 451 respondents. Proportionate stratified random sampling selected 85 schools, 114 H.O.Ds, and 252 teachers, while census sampling chose national and special schools, and 85 principals were purposefully sampled. Data were collected using questionnaires and interview guides. Validity (content, criterion, construct, face) was ensured through expert evaluation, and reliability was confirmed with a Cronbach’s alpha coefficient over 0.7. Quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS Version 29, and qualitative data were analyzed thematically, presented with direct quotes and integrated with phase one findings. Descriptive statistics were shown in tables and graphs, and inferential statistics were presented as Pearson’s correlation coefficients, ANOVA, and regression coefficients. The study found a weak positive insignificant influence between the reward system and learners\u27 academic performance (r=0.021, p≤0.05; 2-tailed), supporting the null hypothesis. Principals’ interviews indicated financial constraints and unclear promotion policies demoralize teachers. The study’s findings aim to guide corrective measures for low academic performance in the study area and recommend further research on the impact of principals\u27 leadership skills on K.C.S.E. performance
