Assessing the Effectiveness of the National Counter Terrorism Agency (BNPT) in Indonesia
Get PDFTerrorism is a criminal or extraordinary crime that concerns today\u27s world, especially in Indonesia. Terrorism that has occurred recently has ideological, historical and political links and is part of the dynamics of the strategic environment at the global and regional levels. Although Indonesians have mostly carried out acts of terrorism in various regions in recent years and only a few external actors. This study uses normative juridical research methods by examining data sources from legal literature and literature review as well as direct interviews with stakeholders related to countermeasures against terrorism. This study aims to discover the role of the BNPT and the authorities in eradicating terrorism and the role of society and community organisations in Indonesia in efforts to deal with terrorism. Observing current developments, BNPT continues to mobilise various elements of the nation to fight radicalism together, promote counter-radicalisation, and work with other government agencies and various media to unify and equalise perceptions in dealing with this threat. The role of the media in eradicating terrorism is not effective enough to balance and purify the mass media from radicalism. The collaboration of roles with various parties is also very necessary. Therefore, the role of the community, community organisations, especially regional heads, political figures, and religious scholars in each region are needed to participate in activities to eradicate terrorism in Indonesia actively
The Application of Bian Embroidery in Modern Fashion Design
Get PDFBian Embroidery is one of the national cultural relics of Henan Province in China, originating in the Song Dynasty. Its original art form, which combines traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy with embroidery instead of painting, has a substantial artistic value and has impacted the history of Chinese embroidery. This paper takes the art form and craft characteristics of Bian Embroidery as the research object, compiles and refines the collected historical materials of Bian Embroidery through literature analysis, physical evidence, and case study, and innovatively applies its pattern themes, an art form, color characteristics and craft techniques to modern clothing design. The practical application shows that the application of Bian Embroidery elements to clothing design can produce high aesthetic and cultural values, aiming to inherit and protect the traditional folk art of Bian Embroidery and to find innovative points where traditional handicraft and popular design meet. At the same time, it can not only make the traditional Bian Embroidery handicraft derived in modern clothing design but also provide a new idea and direction for the future development of Bian Embroidery and can enrich the products of modern clothing, develop new technology and new style, meet people\u27s increasingly high aesthetic demand, inject fresh blood into the clothing industry, and can improve the cultural connotation of clothing itself, and bring the traditional handicraft of the Chinese nation to the world. Investigating the Technological Input in Culinary Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Relation to the COVID-19 Pandemic
Get PDFMicro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are important to regional economic development. MSMEs conduct business activities that can expand and provide opportunities for the community to obtain higher income and encourage economic growth. Moreover, the technology used in their business development enables them to grow during an economic crisis, thereby contributing to regional and national stability. This study uses descriptive quantitative methods to determine and analyze the existence of innovative and creative technology used by MSMEs actors before, during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The respondents in this study amounted to 100 culinary entrepreneurs in Pontianak City. The conclusion is that the innovations made by MSMEs actors include using online sales services, making unique products, changing product packaging and holding promotions, employing innovative marketing strategies, and providing innovative consumer facilities. Meanwhile, the creative strategies employed included adding herbal ingredients to the products sold, making new packaging, creating shops and product arrangements, and updating menus and product bundling

Get PDFThis study analyzes the effect of sportsmanship and civic virtue behavior on teacher performance. Also, analyzes the effect of sportsmanship and civic virtue behavior on affective commitment. Besides that, this study examines the moderating role of affective commitment in the relationship between sportsmanship and civic virtue behavior on teacher performance. This study is designed using a quantitative approach through a survey questionnaire. The data were collected using non-probability sampling on 45 people from Budi Mulia Al-Azhar Syifa Budi Foundation in Samarinda. The data analysis technique used is the SEM method, namely PLS (Partial Least Square), assisted by Smart PLS software. The results showed that sportsmanship and civic virtue behavior positively and significantly affected performance. Civic virtue behavior had a positive and significant effect on affective commitment, and affective commitment had a positive and significant effect on performance. This study also obtained positive and significant results between affective commitment mediating the effect of sportsmanship and civic virtue behavior on teacher performance

The report utilizes the opinions of experts, academics, and industry professionals to identify obstacles in the traditional clothing sector. It suggests ways for businesses to use innovative technology and gain a competitive advantage. The method includes a complete literature review of relevant studies over the past 20 years, focusing on how new technologies related to Industry 4.0 are used in the garment industry. The Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), big data analytics, and cloud computing are included. The report also looks at what is being done to help the garment industry deal with problems as it moves to Industry 4.0. The results show that Industry 4.0 technologies have the potential to improve production efficiency, lower costs, make customers happier, boost sales, update employees\u27 skill sets, and make the company more competitive. The study makes several recommendations for apparel companies to modernize their operations, such as leveraging digitalization to facilitate rapid response in the supply chain, utilizing personalization and innovative design to enhance products, and meeting shifting consumer demands through customization
Government Policy on Gayo Women\u27s Coffee Cooperative Community in Bener Meriah Regency, Aceh Province, Indonesia
Get PDFThe Gayo Women\u27s Coffee Cooperative (KOKOWA GAYO) is Southeast Asia\u27s first women\u27s cooperative to trade Gayo Arabica coffee to the international market. The marketing is to Europe and the United States through cooperation agreements to export coffee commodities with three international investors: Fairtrade, Ecocert, and Cafe Feminino Foundation. The annual contract to export Gayo Arabica coffee commodity is in the amount of 20 containers. This cooperative has 500 farmers trained to break the marketing chain from loan sharks to increase the income and economic welfare of the coffee farmers. The decision-making made by women in this cooperative requires government involvement in terms of policies that support the export of coffee commodities to international markets. Yet, there is still miscommunication between the government and the KOKOWAGAYO. Because of these problems, a data analysis was carried out using radical feminism theory and structural functionality. The research paradigm used was the critical paradigm with a qualitative methodological approach. The result of this study indicates that they carried out KOKOWAGAYO, a women\u27s cooperative. Also, miscommunication occurred regarding government regulations on policies issued by the cooperative because it independently exported coffee commodities to international markets, and the government has issued regulations or policies related to the safeguarding of Gayo Arabica coffee authenticity through a Decree of Origin (SKA) and the Gayo Coffee Protection Society (MPKG)
Is Migration the New Development Mantra? An Examination of the Migration-Development Nexus

The nature and magnitude of these impacts vary depending on a range of factors such as the type of migration, the destination and origin countries, as well as the prevailing social, economic, and political context. Drawing on existing literature and theoretical frameworks, this article examines the factors that influence migration patterns and the impact of migration on both sending and receiving countries. It also discusses the commercialization of migration and its effects on the migration-development nexus. The paper argues that the kind of perception of the migration-development nexus plays a critical role in shaping policy responses to migration as well as development in general. As such, the article\u27s final section focuses on how migration\u27s perceived impact on development influences policy decisions. In exploring the intersection between migration and development, the article makes no distinction between migrants and immigrants. Overall, the article provides a comprehensive overview of the migration-development nexus and highlights the need for policymakers to take a nuanced and evidence-based approach to addressing the complex migration and development issues
Improving the Employees\u27 Performance through the Application e-Samsat Online Tax Payment
Get PDFScientific and technological advancement is accelerating rapidly. This progress reshapes economic, social, and cultural landscapes, permeating every facet of human existence. These transformations mark the onset of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Traditional employment and methods yield to automation and artificial intelligence, giving rise to novel forms of labour and industry. This study investigates whether internal factors determine the weaknesses and the strengths of Human Resources at the regional technical implementation unit (Known as UPT) at one one-stop administration service office (known as Samsat) in North Medan. In addition, it was also to determine external factors, opportunities, and threats to achieve optimal performance, generate alternative strategies, and choose performance improvement strategies at the North Medan UPT PPD Samsat. In addition to qualitative descriptive, the author used SWOT analysis using external and internal factor evaluation matrices. Data analysis techniques included editing, description, and categorization. The research involved 74 North Medan UPT PPD Samsat employees, and a questionnaire was used to collect the data. The study found that organizational performance was in quadrant I. It indicates that the employees\u27 performance has room for improvement by considering all the strengths/potentials of the organization
Analyzing the Sharia Cooperatives Efficiency in Aceh Province, Indonesia
Get PDFThis study analyzes the efficiency level and the factors that influence the efficiency of Sharia cooperatives in 16 districts/cities in the Aceh province during the 2020-2022 period. The Data Envelopment Analysis method uses input, namely business capital and Islamic cooperatives\u27 assets and Sharia cooperative operations\u27 remaining annual income as the output. The findings show that Sharia cooperatives in Aceh Province are not fully efficient. Several things can influence the efficiency level of Sharia cooperatives. One is that every Sharia cooperative unit in Aceh Province has not recorded reports properly and correctly. It is because Sharia cooperatives in Aceh Province are still relatively new. Therefore, it is necessary to increase efficiency in using good inputs and outputs to produce the efficiency of Sharia cooperatives in Aceh Province
