Comparison in the Final Examination Questions Paper by Means of Difficulty and Discrimination Indices
Get PDFExamination is one of the important elements in measuring the student achievement and to determine whether the course learning outcome is achieved or not. The best exam paper is the paper that can evaluate the students’ achievement and thus satisfy the course learning outcome. The purpose of this study is to compare the examination papers and identify whether the course learning outcome is achieved or not based on the performance of students in the examinations. The sample is stratified according to year 1 until 4 and according to the program. The students are selected from three academic years 2015/2016, 2016/2017 and 2017/2018. The data is obtained from the marks of their mid-semester and final exams. Difficulty and discrimination indices is evaluated for each item in the exam paper. The research findings found that the ideal question for the mid-semester exam is from the session 2017/2018 with difficulty and discrimination indices range from 0.4 to 0.8. While the ideal question for final semester exam is from session 2016/2017 with difficulty index in range 0.4-0.6 and higher discrimination index as compared to other sessions. As a result, the student performance for 2017/2018 session has increased significantly in the overall assessment with 13.0% obtained grade A compared to 11.1% in 2016/2017 and only 4.9% in 2015/2016. The failure rate has also reduced at only 11.4% in 2017/2018 compared to 32.1% in 2015/2016 and 11.9% in 2016/2017
Examining the Factors that Influence capital structure in the basic industry and Chemicals Companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange: Mediating Role of Stock Return
Get PDFAbstract: This study aims to examine the total asset turnover (TATO), return on investment (ROI), earnings per share (EPS), current ratio (CR) and stock risk in influencing the capital structure through stock return in the basic industry and chemical companies on the Indonesia Stock exchange for 2016-2021. This study is designed using a quantitative approach, with causality and inferential approach. The population used in this study were 88 basic industries and chemical companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, the samples were 17 companies determined using purposive sampling. The technique used is a documentation in the form of the annual financial reports from basic Industries and chemical companies published through the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange, www.idx.co.id and www.idnfinancial.com. This study uses Path Analysis measured using the STATA software. This study provides significant information that is taken into consideration in determining and deciding on making investments. Potential investors are also likely to look at the value of the current ratio and whether the company can cover its obligations, as seen from the comparison between total current assets and current liabilities. It is recommended that potential investors choose companies with a total current asset value more significant than the entire current debt value
The Effect of Energy Sources and CO2 Emission on Indonesia’s Economic Growth in Different Regime
Get PDFOne of the country\u27s economic development indicators is reflected in the country\u27s economic growth. Objective: This study was conducted to examine the effect of the use of energy sources and CO2 emissions on economic growth in different regime in Indonesia. Data and Method: The data used are annual time series data published by World Development Indicators (WDI) database during the year 2004-2019.The data analysis method used is the ARDL regression approach model. Result: The results of the study found that CO2 gas emissions in the short and long term do not affect economic growth. The use of imported energy and energy use has a negative effect on economic growth in the short term. Meanwhile, in the long term, it has a positive effect on economic growth. Furthermore, this study found that renewable electricity output has a positive effect on economic growth in both the short and long term and renewable energy cons has no effect on economic growth in the short and long term. Finally, this study found that the difference between the regime of the SBY and JKW periods influenced economic growth
Analysis of Internal Factors for Improving the Performance of Startup Companies in Medan, Indonesia
Get PDFEveryone can increase their income with various businesses, one of which is by opening a business, there are various types of businesses involved. Especially now that he is opening a business by utilizing technology and creativity, which is now known as a startup. Since 2015, the startup business has been introduced and has been growing since the pandemic hit the world in 2019. Startup businesses are increasingly mushrooming in Indonesia, supported by the government program “The National 1000 Startup Digital Movement”. So that the development of startups in Indonesia by Mr. Bonifasius Wahyu currently occupies the fifth position in the world with the largest number of startups in the world at 2,229 startups in April 2021. In running a startup business, it is very important to pay attention to external and internal factors, but in this study to analyze internal factors consisting of marketing, finance, human personal and operational communication. With a sample of 75 startup companies using a purposive sampling technique and processed with SPSS, by performing multiple regression analysis. The results show that internal factors, namely marketing communications, finance, human resources and operational activities, have a positive and significant impact on startup business performance, with a contribution of 0.871 or 87.1%. The variables that most influence the performance of startup companies are marketing communications, followed by human relationship, financial and operational
Intention to Use Halodoc E-Health Services in Indonesia
Get PDFThis study analyzes the effect of E-Health literacy, perceived information quality, trust, perceived competence, and perceived price on purchase intention. The research method is quantitative, and primary data was collected through an online questionnaire. Participants in this research consisted of 238 individuals who intended to use Halodoc E-Health services in Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic. The method of analysis in this study is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). AMOS 22.0 For Windows is used to filter and analyze data. The findings reveal that the higher customers’ E-Health literation, perceived information quality, trust, and perceived price, the level of purchase intention on Halodoc will increase. Meanwhile, perceived competence has a negative effect on purchase intention. This is due to the absence of supporting information and information related to doctor qualifications, such as educational background, experience, and track record, which can affect customer perceptions of doctors\u27 competence in using the Halodoc apps. Practical advice in this research is that service providers on the Halodoc apps can develop strategies to improve the reputation of doctors on their apps so that users can recognize and have a good perception of competence towards the doctors available in their apps, which in turn can increase the purchase intention of the Halodoc apps
Sustainable Design in Motion Sensing Game for Autistic Children

The practice has proved that motion-sensing games can help autistic children solve their symptoms and help them grow healthily. However, there are still some defects in the operation of these games recently, e.g., fixed space and time, high cost, and public welfare institutions. Furthermore, no effective solution has been proposed in the academic field. To fulfill this research gap, this study focuses on value co-creation with autistic children in a motion-sensing game. The methods involve a double diamond design model and sustainable design approaches as the basis for the creative convergence motion sensing game. This study used the concept of sustainable design to develop a new game experience promoting the well-being of autistic children and stakeholders. To achieve sustainability in creative convergence motion sensing games for autistic children, it is necessary to fully consider the game design\u27s technological innovation, social innovation, economic value, and diverse culture
The Role of Traditional Institution (Keujreun Blang) in Realizing the Agricultural Industrialization in Nagan Raya, Aceh Province, Indonesia
Get PDFKeujruen Blang is a traditional institution engaged in agriculture to assist farmers in managing rice areas, community development, and solving problems of agricultural businesses. It also involved a village apparatus as a functional technical implementing element that regulates rice field management at the village level geographically in an agricultural area. Therefore, the role and function of Keujreng Blang in the scope of government is crucial to be optimized to increase community participation in village development of Nagan Raya Regency, precisely in Beutong District, Babah Krueng Village. This area is one of the agricultural villages that must realize industrialization in food independence. Using BPS data, rice production in Nagan Raya Regency declined from 37,457.89 tons to 21,467.69 tons. This study was carried out qualitatively with descriptive analysis. Interview techniques, documentation, and focus group discussion were used as data collection methods. Data analysis was employed for data collection, reduction, presentation, and verification or conclusion. The results of this study indicated that the position of traditional institutions is still fragile, nominally and instrumentally. Also, this study showed that Keujruen Blang could not be implemented comprehensively with the provisions of the applicable law
The Effect of Dividend Policy, Liquidity, Profitability and Company Size on Debt Policy through Financial Performance in Palm Oil Plantation Listed Companies
Get PDFThe contribution of the plantation subsector to the national economy is increasing and can strengthen economic development. This study aimed to determine the effect of dividend policy, liquidity, profitability, and company size on debt policy with financial performance as an intervening variable in oil palm plantation companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017-2021. This study uses an experimental approach through a quantitative technique. The total population was 27 companies. The number of samples was 75 observations. Data sources on secondary data by collecting panel data were carried out on the Eviews application with descriptive statistical tests, panel data analysis, panel data regression estimation, hypothesis testing, and path analysis. The research results showed that the dividend policy, liquidity, and profitability significantly affected debt policy. Besides that, firm size has no significant effect on debt policy. Financial performance as an intervening variable had a significant effect on debt policy. Dividend policy, liquidity, and profitability significantly affected financial performance as intervening variables. Also, firm size had no significant effect through financial performance as an intervening variable. Dividend policy, liquidity, and profitability significantly affected debt policy through financial performance as intervening variables. Meanwhile, firm size significantly affected debt policy through financial performance as an intervening variable

The result shows that the business model is still in a position that operates on the availability of raw materials, equipment, and labour (Key Resources), what about the purchase and storage of raw materials, production, promotion, marketing, as well as product evaluation and development (Key Activities), how to partner with suppliers of yarn raw materials, with microfinance institutions and banks, the government (Key Partnership), how about investment costs, fixed and variable costs, maintenance costs, credit instalments (Cost Structure).
