Taxonomic and Distributional Data of Family Chrysomelidae (Coleoptera) Sindh, Pakistan
One of the most diversified and economyically significant family in the order Coleoptera is the Chrysomelidae(leaf beetle). The Chrysomelidae family in Sindh region is thoroughly examined in terms of taxonomy and distribution in this study. From January 2020 to December 2023 extensive field surveys and specimen collections were carried out in a variety of Sindhi habitats. Using morphological methods the gathered specimens were recognized and categorized. From single species Chrysoline graminin (Linneaus 1758), 120 speciemens were reported from Lower Sindh Pakistan. The distribution patterns show notable variation between ecological zones underscoring the impact of environmental factors on species richness and diversity. This study also addresses the possible effects of changing climate and agricultural practices on Sindh Chrysomelidae populations. The results lay the groundwork for future ecological and conservation research by advancing our knowledge of the biodiversity and biogeography of leaf beetles in this area
Unveiling the Anxiolytic Potential of Epimedium Extract in Sleep-Deprived Mice
Aim: To investigate the anxiolytic potential of Epimedium extract in sleep-deprived mice compared to diazepam.
Objective: To evaluate the anxiolytic effects of Epimedium extract in sleep-deprived mice, using behavioral and biochemical assays, and compared the effects with those of diazepam.
Background: Anxiety disorders and sleep deprivation commonly coexist, worsening each other\u27s symptoms and impacting overall well-being. Epimedium L, a traditional herbal remedy, is known for its adaptogenic properties, which may offer relief from stress-related conditions.
Method: Male Swiss albino mice were divided into five groups: control, sleep-deprived, two treatment groups of Epimedium and one standard group of diazepam. The effects of treatment were assessed using various behavioral tests, such as actophotometer, elevated zero maze, and light/dark test. Followed by biochemical assays measuring levels of oxidative stress markers, neurotransmitters, and enzymes associated with anxietyResult: The study found that Epimedium extract significantly reduced anxiety-like behavior in sleep-deprived mice, with effects comparable to diazepam in a dose dependent manner. The extract also influenced oxidative stress markers and neurotransmitter levels, suggesting a multifaceted mechanism of action.
Conclusion: Epimedium extract has demonstrated significant potential as an effective anxiolytic agent, offering a safer alternative to diazepam due to its reduced side effect profile. This positions it as a promising option for managing anxiety disorders
Emotion Recognition Of Animals Using Natural Language Processing
Sentiment analysis, also known as opinion mining, is a Natural Language Processing (NLP) technique that holds a pivotal role in discerning textual data\u27s sentiments, categorizing them as positive, negative, or neutral. Its significance is underscored by its widespread use in aiding businesses to gauge brand and product sentiment from customer feedback, enhancing customer service, and identifying areas for product and service improvement. Moreover, sentiment analysis offers the ability to track sentiments in real-time, helping companies retain existing customers and attract new ones cost-effectively. Emotion recognition in animals using Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a challenging and less explored area compared to human emotion recognition. While animals do communicate their emotions through various non-verbal cues, such as body language, vocalizations, and facial expressions, applying NLP techniques directly may not be straightforward since animals don\u27t use language in the same way humans do. However, if there are textual data associated with animal behavior, such as ethological observations or written descriptions of their activities, NLP techniques can be adapted to gain insights into their emotional states.
 
Assessment Of In-Vivo Anti-Fibrotic Potential Of Fruit Seed Extract Of Indian Jujube (Ziziphus Mauritiana) Using 2-Nitropropane Induced Hepatic Fibrosis Model.
Injury to the liver is a significant public health issue that affects people all over the world, which necessitates the creation of innovative treatments that are both effective and safe. Due to the antioxidant activity that it possesses, Ziziphus mauritiana (Z. mauritiana) has traditionally been considered to have therapeutic potential against many organ toxicity disorders. In the current work, the objective was to assess the antioxidant activities in vitro and the potential hepatoprotective effects of hydroethanolic extracts from Z. mauritiana seeds (ZMSE) against 2-nitropropane (2-NP) produced liver damage (Fibrosis) in rats. Additionally, the phytochemical contents of the extracts were to be identified. Through in vitro testing, the extract demonstrated significant antioxidant properties, as well as a high quantity of flavonoids and other phenolic compounds respectively. By activating the hepatic antioxidant defense mechanisms, modulating hepatic functions, and decreasing the production of lipid peroxidation, pro-inflammatory mediators, and collagen content, oral administration of ZMSE (especially high dose) significantly suppressed the incidence and severity of 2-NP-induced liver toxicity. However, the degree of suppression varied depending on the dose. There is a possibility that the presence of phenolic acids, flavonoids, and diterpenoids is responsible for these activities. These findings demonstrate the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of ZMSE when administered in varying doses (200, 400, or 800 mg/kg body weight), demonstrate the protective and beneficial effects of the seed against 2-NP-induced hepatic toxicity in rats, and provide support for its consumption, traditional uses, and the promotion of its valorization as a nutraceutical product.
 
Bioinventory And The Associated Ecosystem Developed Inside The Mandhip Khol Cave Complex
For any fauna, the unusual and extreme geophysical characteristics of any subterranean cave demand many biological adjustments to establish a population in it. In the present study, the bioinventory of Mandhip Khol cave Complex has been done. This cave complex has two identical subterranean passages; one wet passage, and another dry passage, so it is interesting to know the types of fauna it harbours. The tabulated results indicated that both the passages harbour mostly the same species, except some extra accidental visitors were found in the wet passage which enters the cave when the water level increases in it. Further, a bat species has been noted, which is new for the caves of Chhattisgarh, India

Conventional nasal inhalers produce a spray of liquid medicine when the pump mechanism is depressed. There is an associated risk of injury with this design; namely, the difficulty that this type of finger-actuated pump mechanism presents to individuals suffering from arthritis, hand, or finger pain. Comparative Study Of Analgesia Of Ketorolac, Tramadol, And Flupirtine In The Treatment Of Third Molar Surgery
Background: Third molar surgery is a common dental procedure often associated with significant postoperative pain. This study aimed to compare the efficacy of three commonly used analgesic agents, ketorolac, tramadol, and flupirtine, in managing postoperative pain following third molar surgery.
Materials and Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted with 150 patients who underwent third molar extraction. The patients were divided into three groups, with 50 patients in each group. Group A received ketorolac 10 mg orally every 6 hours, Group B received tramadol 50 mg orally every 6 hours, and Group C received flupirtine 100 mg orally every 8 hours for 72 hours post-surgery. Pain intensity was assessed using a visual analog scale (VAS), and the total analgesic consumption was recorded. Adverse effects were monitored throughout the study period.
Results: The mean pain scores at different time intervals (0-24 hours, 24-48 hours, and 48-72 hours) were significantly lower in the ketorolac group compared to the tramadol and flupirtine groups (p < 0.05). The total analgesic consumption in the ketorolac group was significantly lower (p < 0.05) than in the tramadol and flupirtine groups. Adverse effects were mild and comparable among the three groups.
Conclusion: Ketorolac demonstrated superior analgesic efficacy in the management of postoperative pain following third molar surgery when compared to tramadol and flupirtine. It also resulted in reduced analgesic consumption and had a similar safety profile. Therefore, ketorolac may be considered the preferred analgesic agent for patients undergoing third molar surgery

There is a great need and opportunity for the development of medicines for rare orphan illnesses. In an increasing number of nations, it is projected that gastric cancer will become a rare disease. In recent years, the incidence of stomach cancer has continued to rise worldwide, accounting for 40% of all cases. The reality is that developing drugs for cancer is challenging, costly, and time-consuming, with only poor success rates. Due to the ineffectiveness of currently available treatments, their high cost, and the potential for therapy to lower quality of life, repurposing has become a crucial strategy in the development of anti-cancer medications. Repurposing that supports the alternate applications of existing medications is encouraged by regulatory bodies like the FDA. Trastuzumab is a repurposed orphan drug for the treatment of HER2 positive gastric cancer.
