    The Effect of Vamana Karma on Biochemical Changes in Tamaka Shwasa W.S.R. to Allergic Asthma

    Allergies are the conditions caused by the hypersensitivity of the immune system to otherwise inert substances present in the environment. Allergic asthma is one such disease where hypersensitivity is involved. When the person breathes an allergen, he is sensitive to, there is localized oedema in the small bronchioles, resulting in bronchiolar spasm. Allergic asthma can be correlated with Tamaka shwasa, which is a vatakaphaja vyadhi and vamana karma is considered to be the best line of management for vikruta kapha, which can be employed in allergic asthma. Material and methods: An observational clinical study is done on 30 subjects, irrespective of sex, socio economic status and religion, between the age group of 20-60 years. All the patients were given Vamana karma with Madanaphala Avalehya. Assessment is done based on the symptoms of Tamaka shwasa and allergic asthma along with serum IgE and AEC levels before and after the treatment and after completion of the follow up period. Result: The study reveals the significant role of Vamana Karma in reducing the signs and symptoms of Tamaka shwasa like shwasa krichrata, kasa and gurghuraka. There is also significant reduction in IgE and AEC. Conclusion: Panchakarma procedures are meant for the purification of the body, which mainly helps in treating the chronic and life style disorders. Tamaka shwasa being one such disease where, Vamana karma plays a key role in the management. Vamana karma helped in removing the vitiated dosha from the body, which when accompanied by Rasayana dravya after the completion of parihara kala can prevent the recurrence of the diseas

    Background: From ancient times Siddha medicines have been proven to treat a wide range of communicable and noncommunicable diseases. In India, the number of people affected with diabetes is increasing drastically and it is considered as an epidemic. Purpose: To assess the anti-diabetic activity of the active compounds of the polyherbal formulation – Madhu Mukthi Kudineer Chooranum (MKC) by docking against potent enzymes involved in diabetes mellitus by in silico method. Methods: The major target enzymes Dipeptidyl peptidase, Glycogen synthase kinase - 3β, Alpha-glucosidase and Alpha-amylase were docked against the 10 active compounds present in the MKC using Auto Dock tools. Conclusion: The strong interactions between the target enzymes and the active compounds proved the anti-diabetic efficacy of the MKC formulation. Thus, the intake of MKC has potential benefits in the treatment of Type II Diabetes Mellitus

It is a member of a significant class of heterocyclic compounds that have nitrogen and sulfur arranged in a five-member ring. Although there are several heterocyclic five-membered rings accessible, thiazolidinone has a wide range of biological functions.  The current review covers all of the pharmacological activity associated with thiazolidinone, as well as future prospects. Using these reviews, we created a novel series of N2,N4-bis{2-(substitutedphenyl)-3-phenyl-1,3-thiazolidin-4-one}-N6-(4-nitrophenyl)-1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triamine derivatives generated by the reaction between N2,N4-bis(4-{[(substitutedphenyl)methylidene]amino} phenyl)-N6-(4-nitrophenyl)-1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triamine with thioglycolic acid and anhydrous zinc chloride in absolute ethanol.     In the conditions of Eastern Fergana 18 types of coccids are found in orchards, and they cause serious damage to horticulture. As a result of preliminary studies, 3 species of coccidial entomophages (14 species in total) are predatory, 9 are parasitic, and 2 are superparasites. Predatory entomophages feed on the body, larva, ovary or egg sac of a female insect, while parasitic entomophages damage 5 types of female coccidial body, 6 types of larval body, a type of egg sac, and 2 types of larvae and fungi of primary centipedes. “Parasite-host” and “predator-prey” relationship systems have been formed according to the feeding characteristics of entomophages with coccids in the garden ecosystem. This phenomenon led to the formation of a secondary food chain in the producer-consumer-reducer system

    Background: Respectful maternity care refers to care organized for and provided to all women in a manner that maintains their dignity, privacy and confidentiality, ensures freedom from harm and mistreatment, and enables informed choice and continuous support during labour and Childbirth. Methods: A quantitative approach and Descriptive design was used. The sample size of 40 were selected by using Non-Probability; purposive sampling technique. Data were collected from the postnatal mothers after delivery by means of structured Perception Interview Schedule. Analysis was done using descriptive  statistics. Results: The findings of the study revealed that around 31(77.5%)mothers had negative perception towards respectful maternity care. Conclusion: This Study concluded that the there is urgent need to create awareness among women, health care providers regarding importance of respectful maternity care.

The purpose of the study is to identify the color semantics of the color "blue" in the Russian language. The concept of the concept, its structure, components are defined. The human experience, including color, is analyzed. The psychological characteristic of color is given. The linguistic picture of the world is considered. The research methodology is based on the analysis of scientific literature, dictionary lexical units, fiction. The conclusion is made about what concept is meant by the choice of a specific lexical unit containing the name of a color, when color plays a decisive role in the perception of a life situation, the intended explanation, the choice of clothing, as well as traditions and habits, stereotypes of thinking associated with this color, in the worldview of Russian-speaking speakers.                                               &nbsp

    Navigating The Impact Of Covid-19 Pandemic On The Vegetable Value Chain For Sustainable Farming

    The COVID-19 pandemic had caused wide disruptions across various sectors, including agriculture and had posed serious threat to global food systems, particularly the vegetable value chain. The disruptions caused by the pandemic such as labour shortages, marketing facilities, loss of income, disruptions in supply chain and shifts in consumer’s preference leading to hunger, poverty and food insecurity which is adversely affecting to the livelihood opportunities of the vegetable farmers. A study was conducted to understand the experiences of vegetable farmers with respect to the impacts of COVID‐19 pandemic on the vegetable value chain. The study was administered with the vegetable farmers (n = 240) in the state of Odisha, India. It is an agrarian state of India where major part of its population depends on agriculture for sustaining their socio-economic livelihood. It constitutes of 10 agro-climatic zones out of which two agro-climatic zones that is north eastern coastal plain and east & south eastern coastal plain were taken for the study. The results from the study clearly show the multifaceted impact of pandemic on the vegetable value chain system. This paper aims to provide an overview of the challenges encountered, adaptations made in the various stages of vegetable value chain highlighting its key components and opportunities. Furthermore, it helps in obtaining valuable insights for policymakers, practitioners and researchers striving to enhance the resilience and sustainability of vegetable value chains amidst global crises

    Evaluation Of Anti-Cataract Activity Of The Siddha Formulation Muthu Parpam Using Isolated Goat Lens Model

    Siddha system recommends a number of herbal and herbomineral ophthalmic formulations as both internal and external therapeutic measures. Muthu parpam (MPM) is one such therapeutic measure that has been indicated in several eye formulations as an ingredient. While Muthuchippi parpam (Calcined shell of pearl oyster)) has been previously evaluated for its antioxidant profile, till date no study has been performed on anticataract activity of Siddha formulation Muthu parpam (Calcined Pearl). In the present study, the Aldose reductase  inhibitory activity of Muthu parpam (MPM) were studied along with their effect on sugar-induced cataractogenic changes in sheep lenses in vitro. Goat eye lenses were divided into 4 groups; Group I served as normal control, Group II as cataract control, Group III (100μg/ml of MPM) and Group IV(200 μg/ml of MPM). Group II, III and IV were incubated in 55 mM glucose in artificial aqueous humor to induce lens opacification. Freshly prepared aldoreductase enzyme was allowed to react with different volume of test drug at 100, 200,300, 400 and 500µg/and the formation of NADP was observed and the results were expressed as percentage inhibition and were calculated as follows. A dose dependent action of the drug was observed in two groups (III & IV) incubated with 100 μg and 200 μg of the test drug with a visibility scoring of 13.8 ± 3.34 and 22.2  ± 6.14 respectively. It was observed from the results of the present investigation that the Siddha formulation MPM shown significant inhibition of aldose reductase enzyme with the maximum inhibition of about 45.41± 1.761 % and the corresponding IC50 is 558.1 ± 29.79 μg /ml
