    Determining Carotid Pulse Wave Velocity in Dogs with Canine Cognitive Dysfunction by Doppler Ultrasonography

    A neurodegenerative condition affecting geriatric dogs is called “canine cognitive dysfunction”, (CCD) a disease that is similar to Alzheimer’s disease in many aspects. Vascular risk factors have been implicated in the development of all-cause dementia and Alzheimer’s disease in humans. The purpose of this study was to determine the carotid pulse wave velocity in CCD dogs by Doppler ultrasonography and compare with normal dogs. Carotid ultrasonography was done on 17 CCD dogs that were positive base on CCD rating scale. One way ANOVA (post-hoc Scheffe) was used to compare the velocities among the vessels. Mean values of RI and PI in CDS(cognitive dysfunction syndrome) positive dogs were more than those of CDS negative dogs and the mean values of PSV, EnDV and MV in CDS positive dogs were less than those of CDS negative dogs. But there was no significant association between the values of carotid pulse wave velocity among CDS positive and negative doges. However, the results of this study may be useful as a baseline data for future investigations

    Comparative Analysis Of Lung And Breast Cancer Complexity Using Single-Cell RNA Sequencing Data

    We performed a thorough analysis of six single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) datasets from the 10X Genomics Database in this work. We used Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to reduce dimensionality, clustering, quality control, normalization, identification of high variable features, data preprocessing, and Uniform Manifold Approximation and Projection (UMAP) for visualization. To better comprehend cellular heterogeneity, we also identified marker genes for each cluster and looked at gene correlation networks. In comparison to breast cancer datasets, our results showed that lung cancer datasets had more edges and marker genes in their gene correlation networks. This implies that the lung cancer samples have higher levels of molecular complexity and heterogeneity. Furthermore, a detailed depiction of the cellular environment that highlighted the complex interactions between cell groups was made possible by the UMAP visualization. The underlying biology of lung and breast cancers is better understood because to the discovery of marker genes and the examination of gene correlation networks. The found intricacy in datasets related to lung cancer could have consequences for comprehending disease subgroups, signaling pathways, and overall heterogeneity. This work lays the groundwork for future investigations into the molecular details of cancer and the development of tailored treatment plans

Although indigenous knowledge systems have been practiced for many years, the usage of natural dyes has declined over generations owing to a lack of documentation and accurate understanding of the extraction and dyeing processes. As a result, natural dyes aren\u27t commercially viable. Currently, all ecologically hazardous synthetic chemical dyes are utilized to colour textile fabrics. They are nonbiodegradable, carcinogenic, and cause water contamination and waste disposal issues. Natural colours provide a viable answer to these issues. Natural dyes are used to colour textiles, meals, medicines, and cosmetics. Dyes are also used in small amounts to colour paper, leather, shoe polish, wood, cane, candles, and other materials. Historically, dyes were obtained only from natural sources. Natural dyes, on the other hand, suffer from the inherent limitations of uniform application and dye standardization, since dyes obtained from comparable plants or natural sources are impacted and exposed to the vagaries of climate, soil, cultivation practices, and so on. As a result, standardization procedures play a critical and essential role for natural dyes to be properly commercialized and compete with synthetic dyes.     A promising medication delivery method that can target specific medications at the absorption site is the use of mucoadhesive nanoparticles. This experiment was conducted to develop mucoadhesive gastroretentive ketoprofen nanoparticles, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine used to treat rheumatoid arthritis (RA).  To carry out the research, a new experimental design was fabricated. This new design made use of a three-factor, two-level central composite. The desolvation procedure was applied to generate nanoparticles that are mucoadhesive and gastroretentive. The formulations were evaluated by various preliminary parameters and transmission electron microscopy(TEM), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), zeta potential, particle size, and entrapment efficiency. To ascertain the adhesion characteristics and release kinetics of the improved batch, in vitro drug release and ex-vivo mucoadhesion tests evaluation were conducted. The idea was to develop a formulation that would enable the stomach to deliver drugs continuously.  Keeping therapeutic drug levels in the stomach for a longer period may be used to treat RA symptoms effectively

    Introduction: N-desmethyl clozapine or norclozapine is a benzodiazepine substituted with chloro and piperazino groups which is a major metabolite of clozapine; a potent and selective 5-HT2C serotonin receptor antagonist. It has a role as a metabolite, a delta-opioid receptor agonist, and a serotonergic antagonist. It is a dibenzodiazepine, a member of piperazines, and an organochlorine compound. Methods: The structure and the ground state energy of the molecules under investigation have been analyzed employing the DFT / B3LYP level. The optimized geometry and their properties such as equilibrium energy, frontier orbital energy, dipole moment, and vibrational frequencies have been used to understand the activity of Norclozapine. Results: The calculated highest occupied molecule orbital or HOMO and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital or LUMO energies show that charge transfer within the molecule. The vibrational spectra of IR and Raman have been interpreted with the help of the B3LYP level of theory with the 6-31G basis set from the Density function theory. Conclusions: The optimized structural parameters such as bond lengths, and bond angle were determined at B3LYP level theory with a 6-31G basis set. Simulation work of Norclozapine is in process.     A type of experiential learning known as "service-learning" blends academic study with community involvement. The field of service-outcomes research suffers from an absence of critical evaluation. This study used an inductive approach to discover the causes and consequences of the issue and develop strategies for dealing with them. The research strategy  was anchored on qualitative and inductive approaches. Semi-structured, in-depth, one-on-one interviews with six participants. Additionally, two focus groups were convened. The information acquired from diverse sources underwent a sequential and comparative analysis relevant to the study. The research reveals the connection between intellectual growth and personal transformation through service-learning. Although it also identifies potential drawbacks, it is suggested that service-learning is often beneficial and possibly favorable to students transformation. Furthermore, the study suggests incorporating service learning components as one of the mandatory subjects in the corresponding major course through the New Education Policy. &nbsp

    A 10 weeks feeding trial was carried out to evaluate the effects of different carbon sources (sugar beet molasses: SBM + BFT, sugar: S + WF (Wheat Flour) BFT, corn starch: CS + BFT) on water quality, growth performance, for common carp FRY. Results showed a significant difference in water quality parameters among different culture systems; CS + BFT had the lowest amount of total ammonia nitrogen (TAN) at the end of culture period. The fish weight was the highest in CS + BFT. Overall, this study suggests that microbial flocs formed in corn starch based biofloc can improve common carp growth performance and tanks water quality under zero water exchange and hence ensures sustainabilit
