    Solanum indicum, also recognized as Vanbhanta or Brihati, holds a significant place in traditional medicinal practices, notably Ayurveda. This review concentrates on a thorough examination of Solanum indicum fruits, encompassing their Pharmacognostical evaluation and potential pharmacological applications. The assessment encompasses various facets such as the plant\u27s morphological traits, microscopic attributes, chemical constituents, and physical constants, offering valuable insights into the plant\u27s quality and purity. Solanum indicum fruits exhibit distinct Pharmacognostical characteristics facilitating their identification and quality assessment. Noteworthy features include the presence of small, spherical berries in shades of yellow to orange, typically measuring 1-2 cm in diameter. The fruit\u27s exterior is smooth, housing numerous small seeds within the inner pulp. Microscopic scrutiny reveals abundant parenchyma cells, vascular bundles, and distinct glandular trichomes.     A comparison of the cytotoxic effects of methanolic cinnamon extract (MCE) from the bark of Cinnamon zeylanicum L. (Lauraceae) and commercially available cinnamaldehyde was carried out using mouse cell line (C2C12). The bark of Cinnamon zeylanicum was extracted in 50% methanol and trans cinnamaldehyde was procured commercially. Methanolic cinnamon extract (MCE) is highly concentrated as a result showing 50% cell cytotoxicity to C2C12 cells at concentration 100 μg/ml than commercial cinnamaldehyde at 66.08 μg/ml

    Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) may be seen as a type of instruction where students can study foreign languages and specialized material concurrently, depending on the subject matter.  By striking a balance between professional education and the acquisition of foreign language abilities, CLIL greatly enhances students\u27 motivation, responsibility, and personal growth.  CLIL is a type of bilingual education where students study foreign languages and subject material at the same time. Through teaching trials, the efficacy of the CLIL technique as an academic subject for second-year mechanical engineering students was examined in this study.  Mechanical engineering second semester students are taken into consideration. Subject and English professors provided ideas for the "definitions" for the elements utilized in the Engineering Practice Lab, which were taken from the Professional English curriculum. Only mechanical engineering students taking English as a supplement are the topic of this study. The main research approach is educational experiments; alternative research methods include survey questionnaires that are used as pre- and post-tests at the start and finish of the study.  Based on the survey questionnaire responses, a statistical assessment of the students\u27 syntactic proficiency was conducted.  The study\u27s findings demonstrate students\u27 interest in developing their definition-building abilities with favorable opinions on CLIL. &nbsp

    This study is for a better understanding of how phenolic compounds of grapes keep the body healthy by preventing disease. Plant-based beverages, such as fruit juice, soymilk, tea, coffee, and coconut drinks, often contain high amounts of polyphenols and total phenolic content, which can play a vital role in promoting human health. Here are some of the essential functions and benefits associated with ingredients, such as antioxidant capacity, anti-inflammatory effects, cardiovascular health, diabetes management, digestive health, brain health, weight management, etc. We used the Folin-Ciocalteu method which is an analytical technique to determine the total phenolic content by using a spectrophotometer in different samples. In that case, our result obtained was 8.632 mg gallic acid equivalents (GAE) per gram of fresh grape juice and 4.154 mg GAE/g of commercial grape juice. This means that for every gram of the sample being analyzed, there are approximately 8.632 mg GAE/g of phenolic compounds are present. The value is expressed in gallic acid equivalents because gallic acid is used as a standard reference compound to quantify phenolic content. The total phenolic content of 8.632 mg GAE/g in grape juice suggested that it can play a vital role in promoting good health

    Effect Of Comprehensive Knee Rehabilitation Programme On Outcomes Of Pain And Function In Total Knee Replacement Patients With Osteoarthritis: A Longitudinal Follow-Up Study

    Background and Objective: Total Knee Replacement has been widely used as a treatment option if the conservative management fail in patients with knee osteoarthritis. Knee rehabilitation plays an important role in improvement of Pain and Function post surgery. The main objective of the present study was to assess the patients with Total Knee Replacement with reference to Pain and Function following the knee rehabilitation.Methods: The subjects were recruited from a multispecialty hospital who got admitted for the Total Knee Replacement surgery (n=100). Patient’s demographics, BMI (Body Mass Index, severity of osteoarthritis (K-L grading system), and the co-morbidities were evaluated prior to the surgery. The subjects were evaluated for pain and physical function using Knee Society Score, WOMAC and Oxford Knee Scores a day before the surgery, 3rd month following surgery, 6th month following surgery and 12th month following surgery.Results: Improvement in mean pain score in KSS was found to be 58.1 points from pre operative evaluation to the 12th month whereas the function score in KSS was 52.9 points. Significant improvement in WOMAC and OKS scores was 64.5 points and 29.8 points respectively.Conclusion: Significant improvement in the pain and function was found in patients with Total Knee Replacement by knee rehabilitation

However, treating deep and extensive bony defects can result in a large area that lacks blood flow from the periodontal ligament or alveolar bone. This poses a risk of wound failure when an incision of the defect-associated papilla is performed. (17) Bianchi and Basetti developed a new surgical technique called the "Whale\u27s Tail" to address this issue. This approach can effectively regenerate broad intrabony defects in the esthetic zone while preserving interdental tissues over grafting material. The proposed procedure entails the elevation of a sizeable flap from the buccal to the palatal side, thereby providing an unobstructed view and access to the intrabony defect in question. (8

    Neuroprotective effect of Dark Chocolate on ketamine-induced animal model of psychosis through the reversal of behavioral, biochemical and histopathological changes

    The present study was designed to evaluate the antipsychotic-like activity of dark chocolate against Ketamine-induced psychosis in animals and to explore the possible underlying mechanisms for this activity. Dark chocolate (200, 400 mg/kg, along with diet), haloperidol (1mg/kg, i.p.), and olanzapine (5mg/kg, i.p) were administered daily to different groups of mice and rats; after 30 min Ketamine was injected for 21 successive days. The antipsychotic- like activity was assessed using an actophotometer, stereotypic behaviors, forced swim test (FST), and passive avoidance test. Dark Chocolate (DC) and olanzapine remarkably decreased the immobility period of Ketamine-treated mice in FST, indicating the beneficial effect of DC against depressive or negative symptoms of psychosis. There was no significant effect on the locomotor activity of the mice with the administration of DC, while it showed a reducing impact against stereotypic behaviors. Furthermore, DC significantly reduced the time taken by the rats to climb the pole, showing the effect of DC on cognition. In addition, acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity, malondialdehyde (MDA), and tissue necrosis factor (TNF-α) levels were markedly decreased and increased GABA and enhanced reduced glutathione (GSH) levels with the treatment of DC. Furthermore, DC was also effective in reducing the ketamine induced hyperchromatic nuclei, perinuclear vacuolization, and dilated vascular channels in the cortex part of the brain. Behavioral, biochemical, and histopathological studies suggest the protective effect of DC against Ketamine induced psychosis

    Nowadays, there is a major issue because of the overuse of katu, snigdha, viruddha, abhishyandi, atyushna, vidahi, pista anna, a changed lifestyle, and indulgence in diwaswapna, ati udaka panam, chinta, and amlapitta. These causative factors also lead to vitiate pitta\u27s dravata and Agnimandhya, which in turn produce shukhtatva and vidagdhata in ahara rasa. Therefore, the treatment of amlapitta and the prevention of its growth depend heavily on strengthening agni and following proper pathya. Amlapitta is defined as the elevated state of sourness of pitta, and it is a pathologic condition in which the pitta gets vitiated in terms of vriddhi. Kashyapa is the first person to talk about amlapitta explicitly. Virudha, adhyasana, vidahi, pittaprakopi ahara, and other nidanas of amlapitta lead to tridosha prakopa, where samana vata, pachaka pitta, and kledaka kapha are most impacted and result in agnimandya. Ashayadushti causes improper digestion of food, which leads to the formation of shuktata and unsuitable rasadi dhatus. After completing all of these steps, Amlapitta generates tiktamla udgara and hrtkantadaha. As a result, vitiating each and every tridosha yields amlapitta

    Assessment Of Nutritional Status And Eating Behavior Among Undergraduate Nursing Female Students Of Birbhum District Of West Bengal: A Cross-Sectional Pilot Study

    One of the most common psychological and lifestyle disorders of adolescent girls of 21st century is eating disorder(ED) especially among students of heath background; characterized by preoccupation with food, body size and shape. Food restriction, overeating both are categorized under ED. The objective of the study is to determine the prevalence of ED among female nursing students of Birbhum and its association with Body mass index(BMI), anemia and menstruation frequency. The pilot study was done on 100 students of a private nursing college of 19-20 years with self-reported Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire(EDE-Q). Participants were selected by random sampling method. Height, weight and skin fold measurements were taken. Clinical signs of anemia were checked. Pearson’s Correlation between ED and BMI, body fat percentage and Chi-square test for association of ED with anemia and menstruation frequency were done. 11% students were detected to have ED. Among them, 4 persons were overweight and 5 were obese. 24% population were detected with mild anemia among them 5 girls has ED. 3% students have both ED and irregular menstruation and only 4% students of the rest have irregular menstruation. Weight and shape concern of ED population was also found to be positively correlated. Overweight and irregular menstruations are associated with ED that should be taken into consideration during any ED prevention programme
