Fertility Control in Wildlife: The Role of Immunocontraceptive Vaccines
Immunocontraception has gained significant attention as an ethical and effective tool for managing overabundant wildlife populations, particularly in regions experiencing increasing human‒wildlife conflicts due to habitat fragmentation, agricultural expansion, and urbanization. Traditional population control methods, such as culling and poisoning, have raised concerns about their environmental impact, non-target species harm and public opposition. Immunocontraceptive vaccines offer a non-lethal alternative by harnessing the body\u27s immune response to suppress fertility, targeting key reproductive hormones and proteins, such as gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) and zona pellucida (ZP) glycoproteins. This review delves into the mechanisms of action of these vaccines, their applications across various species, and the challenges associated with immunocontraception, including inconsistent immune responses, the need for booster doses, and non-responders in treated populations. Recent advances in vaccine delivery systems, such as oral baits and slow-release implants, offer potential solutions for large-scale wildlife management efforts. Additionally, we explore the long-term ecological impacts of fertility control, its role in reducing disease transmission, and its integration into broader wildlife conservation strategies. Despite its potential, immunocontraception requires further refinement in terms of vaccine efficacy, cost-effectiveness, and practical implementation, particularly for free-ranging and hard-to-reach species. As research continues to evolve, immunocontraception holds promise for achieving sustainable wildlife population control, balancing biodiversity conservation, and mitigating human-wildlife conflicts
Spatio-Temporal Variations in Amphibian Communities in Semi-Urban Ponds of District Panchkula
Surveillance studies were undertaken in the village ponds of Saketri, Shamtu, and Khangsera (district Panchkula, Haryana) to document amphibian diversity and abundance. Four species—Duttaphrynus melanostictus, D. stomaticus, Euphlyctis cyanophlyctis, and Hoplobatrachus tigerinus—belonging to the families Bufonidae and Dicroglossidae (order Anura) were recorded, all categorized as “Least Concern” on the IUCN Red List. Results showed species-specific and site-specific variations in abundance, with D. melanostictus dominating in Saketri and Shamtu, while D. stomaticus was most abundant in Khangsera. Aquatic habitats supported fewer species, with E. cyanophlyctis and H. tigerinus being the predominant forms. A decline in amphibian populations was observed from 2021 to 2022, with the highest reduction recorded in Shamtu pond (5.90% on land; 11.53% in water). Statistical Analysis on Herbal Dye Extraction and Mordanting for Functional Cotton Textiles
Herbal dyes offer a sustainable alternative to synthetic colorants, combining eco-friendliness with functional benefits such as antimicrobial, ultraviolet (UV) protective,and antioxidant properties. This study optimizes aqueous extraction and mordantingconditions for Dalbergia sissoo (Shisham) leaves and Solanum nigrum (Makoy) berries toenhance the performance of cotton fabrics. Extraction parameters temperature, pH,duration, and plant-to-water ratio were systematically varied to maximize yield, whilealum mordanting (pre- and post-dyeing, at multiple concentrations) was evaluated for itsinfluence on color strength (K/S), fastness, and bioactivity. S. nigrum achieved a higheryield (72%) than D. sissoo (65%) and demonstrated superior functional performance,including an Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) of 135.8 (excellent protection) and 70%radical scavenging activity. Antibacterial assays revealed significant inhibition ofStaphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, with good retention after five launderingcycles. Both dyes enhanced UV protection, antioxidant capacity, and exhibitedacceptable wash and rub fastness. These results confirm the potential of S. nigrum and D.sissoo as viable natural dye sources for producing multifunctional, eco-friendly textiles,with particular applicability in medical, protective, and health-sensitive apparel sectors
Impact of Aquatic Resistance Training and Boot Camp Training for Inter-Collegiate Athletes 100 Meter Sprint
Aim and Background of the Study: Professional Athletes need to have a good speed throughout his run on track. To achieve it, athletes are given training in aquatic Resistance Method and Boot Resistance Method and made to perform on ground to compare the Effectiveness of Training. The aim is to increase the endurance of athletes by giving resistance training in two Different Methods.
Methodology: This is an Experimental Study of comparative pre-test and post-test type.30 Subjects are included in the study for duration for of 8 Weeks. Subjects were divided into 2 Groups each consisting 15 subjects in Group -A&B. Group “A” were assisted with Boot Camp Training and Group “B” were assisted with Aquatic Resistance Training. The subjects were selected accordingly to the Inclusion Criteria of age Group 18-25 and Exclusion Criteria are below 18 years and above 25 years.
Result: On comparing Pre test and Post test within Group A& Group B on 40 Yard dash score Shows highly significant difference in Mean values at P ≤ 0.001.
Conclusion: The study concludes and demonstrates the benefits that boot camp training has an increasing performance variable similar to aquatic resistance training

Proportional Studies Of Babularista With Various Herbal Formulations From Marketed Brands.
Plants/herbs are the primary source of organic chemicals utilised in contemporary medicine to treat various ailments in the most ancient system of therapy known as Ayurveda. Acharya Sharangdhar was the first to describe a scientific method for preparing Asavas/Arista, a fermented food containing various plant-derived medications as well as jaggary. The worked out parameters for the quality control and stability of Asavas/Arishtas were addressed in this study report for the two Arishtas. The pH, % alcohol, percentage sugar, and other formulation parameters are observed. The observed values indicate that there is no unique change in the data that support the scriptural reference that Asavas and Arishtas did not lose their efficacy over a longer length of time. The pH of Asavas and Arishtas employed in this investigation was determined to be between 3.60 to 4.30 , indicating that the preparation is acidic. Whereas the alcohol range of 5% to 8% revealed that the organic components associated with the ingredients contained in the formulation are well preserved in their self-generated alcohol created during the fermentation process. The calculated parameters for transmittance also result in its prolonged stability
Formulation, Optimization and Evaluation of Eudragit RL 100 nanoparticles loaded with Quercetin for its Hypolipidemic action by using Animal Model
Quercetin, a potent pharmacological active phytocompound, plays a crucial role in drug therapy. However, its essential role is limited due to poor water solubility and low bioavailability. To overcome these limitations and enhance oral bioavailability, Quercetin loaded Eudragit nanoparticles were prepared using a single emulsification solvent evaporation method and optimized by applying Box-Behnken design. This study aimed to investigate the anti-hyperlipidemic potential of Quercetin in Triton WR-1339 induced hyperlipidemic rats.
Hyperlipidemia was induced in rats using Triton WR-1339, and the hypolipidemic potential of Quercetin was evaluated at doses of 50 and 100 mg/kg. The results revealed that Quercetin significantly (p ≤ 0.005) altered the serum levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, bringing them close to normal levels in Triton WR-1339 induced hyperlipidemic rats.
Furthermore, both doses of Quercetin (50 and 100 mg/kg) showed significant reductions in TC and TG levels when compared to the standard atorvastatin treatment. The novel formulation of Quercetin loaded Eudragit polymeric nanoparticles displayed remarkable potential as a green antihyperlipidemic agent.
These findings suggest that Quercetin loaded Eudragit nanoparticles can effectively mitigate hyperlipidemia and have the potential to be a promising therapeutic option for lipid disorders. The enhanced bioavailability and bioactivity of Quercetin delivered through this novel formulation open new possibilities for its clinical application in managing hyperlipidemia. The Effect Of Enteral Glutamine To Increase The Macrophage Count In Full-Thickness Burns Infected With Acinetobacter Baumannii Bacteria In White Rats (Rattus norvegicus)
In this study, we explore the impact of hypermetabolic conditions on the immune function of the body, with a particular focus on the role of glutamine, an amino acid involved in protein synthesis and the regulation of metabolic processes within the immune system. Macrophages and monocytes play a crucial role in responding to A.Baumanii infection, being the first line of defense. Our investigation aims to analyze the augmentation of macrophage cell count activity against A. Baumanii through the administration of glutamine. Using an experimental study design, 45 rats were randomly assigned to three groups: a control group, a Glutamine treatment group, and a Glutamine against A. Baumanii group. The rats were evaluated on days 1, 5, and 7, with enteral administration of glutamine at a dose of 1 g/kg body weight/day. Specimens were taken from the peritoneum tissue, and anatomical pathology preparations were conducted to calculate the number of macrophage cells. Data collected were then input into a table and processed using SPSS 26 for Windows. Results revealed a significant increase in macrophage cell count on day 1 in the Glutamine against A.Baumanii group compared to the control group (p < 0.05). On day 5, the macrophage cell count in both the Glutamine group and the Glutamine against A.Baumanii group was higher than in the control group, with significant differences observed between groups (p < 0.05). On day 7, a significant difference (p < 0.05) in the number of macrophage cells was noted between the Glutamine groups. In conclusion, enteral glutamine feeding led to a notable increase in the number of macrophage cells, indicating a positive impact on the immune system. This rise in macrophages correlates with enhanced phagocytic activity against A.Baumanii infection
