    Evaluating The Role Of Climate On Dengue And Chikungunya Outbreaks And Transmission In Jaipur

    The transmission of infectious illnesses, including dengue and chikungunya fevers, is accelerated by climate change. The Kimakonde language is where the word "chikungunya" means "to dry up or become contorted." One arthropod-borne virus disease that has been documented since 1824 is chikungunya fever (CHIKF). There have been 4,086 confirmed cases of dengue fever in the Jaipur districts alone, accounting for 32% of the state\u27s overall dengue cases. The probability of infectious diseases, particularly those carried by vectors, is expected to rise as a result of global warming since more extreme precipitation episodes are anticipated. Illness management requires public health initiatives and ongoing monitoring. The frequency of dengue and chikungunya fever in Jaipur, India, was investigated in this study. Descriptive statistics were used to synthesize the data retrieved from various sources, including government databases, monitoring programmes, and hospital records. We used correlation analysis for 104 samples to look for links between weather and the incidence of Dengue and Chikungunya. There is a robust positive association between temperature and chikungunya cases, demonstrating that climate plays a substantial role in disease transmission. When developing therapies for vector-borne diseases, it is crucial to take demographic variables, environmental factors, and disease incidence patterns into account, as shown in this study. Understanding and managing these disorders requires a comprehensive strategy. It is essential to monitor patients continuously for improved treatment and prevention

    Evaluation Of Compressive Strength Of Concrete Using Ndt And Artificial Intelligence Methods

    Non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques are frequently applied in the field to evaluate the compressive strength of concrete in the construction sector. NDT techniques are comparatively inexpensive and do not harm the current structure. The ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV) test and the rebound hammer (RH) test are two common NDT techniques. The concrete compressive strength estimates are not particularly precise when compared to the outcomes of the destructive tests, which is one of the main disadvantages of the RH and UPV tests. The researchers used artificial intelligence prediction models to examine the correlations between the input values—the outcomes of the two NDT tests—and the output values—concrete strength—in order to enhance the estimation of concrete strength. In cooperation with a material testing facility and the Professional Civil Engineer Association, in-situ NDT data from 98 samples were gathered. Both conventional statistical and artificial intelligence (AI) prediction models were developed and validated using in-situ NDT data. The analysis\u27s findings demonstrated that, in comparison to statistical regression models, artificial intelligence prediction models yield more accurate estimations. When AI methods (ANNs, SVM, and ANFIS) are used to predict concrete compressive strength in RH and UPV tests, the study findings demonstrate a considerable improvement

    Effect of Dance, Games, and Exercise on the Metabolic Profile of Human Saliva

    Volatile organic compounds have an essential role in globally impactful disease activity and an individual\u27s health condition. Saliva also has volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in its composition, and VOCs are being discovered as possible biomarkers for oral diseases. The present study is conducted to evaluate the effect of dance, games, and exercise on the metabolic profile of human saliva. A total of 68 healthy participants were included in the study. Unstimulated saliva (taken as control, n = 29 for exercise, n = 26 for cricket activity, and n = 13 for dance activity) and stimulated saliva (n = 29 for exercise, n = 26 for cricket activity, and n = 13 for dance activity) were taken before and after all three activities. Those who had any metabolic disorder, such as any cardiovascular disease, eating disorder, or any oral disease, such as mouth dryness, any kind of allergy, or smoking habits, were excluded from the study. Metabolic profiling of saliva was done using the GC-MS technique. There were 21 metabolites discovered before the cricket activity, and 24 metabolites were found after the cricket activity. 13 metabolites were discovered before the dance activity, 16 metabolites were discovered after the dance activity. 11 metabolites were discovered before the exercise activity, and 17 metabolites were discovered after the exercise activity. Lately, new metabolic markers of sports performance and exercise tolerance have been identified by salivary metabolomics. Our study found changes in saliva composition before and after different physical activities. Different metabolites were found before and after the different physical activities. Important metabolites distinguishing in our study were triethyl phosphate, geraniol, citronellol, and tetrapentacontane, 1,54-dibromo-. The area percentage of triethyl phosphate was 20.14% before the cricket activity. The area percentage of geraniol was also changed before and after dance and exercise activity. The area percentage of geraniol was 6.62% before the exercise activity, and after the exercise activity, it was 8.30%. Citronellol was formed after the exercise with an area percentage of 5.64%. The Area percentage of geraniol was 8.78% before and after the dance activity; it was 4.05%. Changes have also been found in the area percentage of tetrapentacontane, 1,54-dibromo- in all three activities. There is a need for research in the field of salivary-derived metabolic biomarkers so that it would be easy to investigate the stage of any disease and further treatment could be done. Saliva is very easy to collect and store, unpainful, compared to blood. Therefore, assessing human health status can be a better biological fluid

      Harmful algal blooms (HABs) pose a significant threat to marine ecosystems, impacting both aquatic organisms and coastal communities. Noctiluca scintillans, a bioluminescent dinoflagellate, is a substantial contributor to HABs worldwide, particularly along the coastal regions of Bhatye Beach, Ratnagiri. This research explores the intricate relationship between the occurrence of Noctiluca scintillans blooms and the physicochemical characteristics of seawater in the specified region. Conducted from November 2022 to January 2023, the study involved comprehensive field investigations and data analysis, focusing on elucidating the environmental factors influencing the proliferation of Noctiluca scintillans. Physicochemical parameters assessed included phosphate, nitrate, nitrite, silicate, temperature, salinity, pH, and Dissolved Oxygen. The findings provide valuable insights into understanding the dynamics of Noctiluca scintillans blooms in the coastal waters of Bhatye Beach, Ratnagiri, and lay the foundation for developing effective monitoring and management strategies to mitigate the impact of HABs in this ecologically sensitive region. &nbsp

    Exploring Vocal Challenges In Individuals With Parkinson\u27s Disease: Insights From The Social And Family Sphere

    Background: Parkinson\u27s disease (PD) is a multifaceted neurodegenerative condition manifesting in adulthood, characterized by a spectrum of motor and non-motor symptoms. The alteration in the voice of individuals with PD can significantly impact their communication dynamics with the surrounding environment, influencing the perceptions of those around them. Objective: This study aims to assess the perception of vocal difficulties in individuals with Parkinson\u27s disease from the perspective of their socio-family environment. Methodology: A cross-sectional descriptive observational study was conducted involving 17 relatives of individuals with Parkinson\u27s disease, comprising family members and friends acting as primary caregivers in the city of Lahore. Data were collected through in-person surveys, utilizing an adapted version of the VHI-30 questionnaire. Results: Of the participants, 71.2% were aged over 40, with 76.5% being women, and spending more than 5 hours daily with their family members afflicted by PD. A significant 76.4% acknowledged a specific impact related to vocal difficulties in their PD-affected family member, considering functional, physical, and emotional criteria. Within this group, 29.4% reported mild to moderate difficulties, while 47% reported severe to very severe difficulties. Conclusion: Family members and caregivers exhibit varying degrees of perception regarding the vocal challenges faced by individuals with Parkinson\u27s disease. Recognizing the impact on functional, physical, and emotional aspects is crucial. Inclusive therapeutic interventions that involve the socio-family environment are essential for effectively addressing the challenges posed by the disease

    Physico-chemical parameters of water essential characteristics of an aquatic water body which determine the aquatic habitat to provide suitable environment for aquatic flora and fauna. Seasonal variations in the physic-chemical parameters of water in Tighra Reservoir were studies from March 2022 to February 2023. Four different sampling sites were selected for collection of water sample. Some of the parameters were observed at the sampling station while rest other parameters were observed into laboratory as soon as possible after the collection of water. The physico-chemical parameters such as Transparency, air temperature, water temperature, pH, Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), total suspended solids, Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Dissolved oxygen, Free CO2, Alkalinity, Nitrate, Sodium and Potassium were analyzed in different seasons. The result obtained indicate the seasonal variation occur due to inflow of water from catchment  which not only affected the water quality parameters also affected the reservoir biodiversity

    Effect Of Prebiotic Supplementation On The Quality Characteristics Of Rabbit Meat

    This randomized controlled trial aimed to evaluate the effects of prebiotic supplementation on the meat quality of rabbits. A total of 12 rabbits were divided into two groups (n=6 each). Group A served as the control, while Group B was supplemented with prebiotics in their regular diet over a period of 45 days. The results revealed that Group B showed significant improvements in meat quality compared to Group A. Cooking loss was reduced to(29.21%) in Group B, compared to (35.30%) in Group A. Drip loss in Group B was significantly reduced to (6.75%), compared to Group A (3.02%). Additionally, the pH level in Group B was significantly higher (5.75), compared to Group A (6.18). Water holding capacity was significantly higher in Group B at (65.62%), compared to (51.65%) in Group A. Ash content in Group B was slightly higher (1.20%) than in Group A (1.06%), while carbohydrate level was significantly reduced in Group B (1.61%) compared to Group A (0.99%). Moisture content was also significantly reduced in Group B (73.23%) compared to Group A (75.68%). Protein content in Group B was reduced to (21.42%) than in Group A (19.60%).Fat content in Group B was lower (2.52%), compared to Group A (2.65%) Furthermore, the total soluble content was significantly reduced in Group B (26.76%) compared to Group A (24.31%). These findings indicate that prebiotic supplementation may improve meat quality by reducing cooking loss, drip loss, and improving water holding capacity in rabbits
