    Synthesis, ChracterizationAnd In- Vitro Studies On 2-Chloroquinolin In Derivatives As Anti- Alzheimer Disease.

    The synthesis, characterization and in-vitro studies on 2-chloroquinolin in derivatives have been screened and carried out by developing a QSAR model. Using such an approach one could predict the activities of newly designed compounds before a decision is being made whether these compounds should be really synthesized and tested. The data set used for the QSAR analyses contains 23 molecules belonging to acetyl cholinesterase inhibitors.About 20 novel compounds containing quinoline designed using CHEMDRAW software.Then the ten best docked compounds are selected for spectral data of the synthesized comopunds was obtained from IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and mass spectroscopy,then the compounds are subjected to in-vitro  MTT asssay for cell viability method.Amoung the tested compounds S9 and S11 were shown to be the most effective against the evaluated cell lines. Work is being done to advance the search for new cholinesterase inhibitors. In order to establish a SAR for rational study, more derivatives and in-depth, detailed investigations on in vivo activity may be undertaken. The current study suggests that more research is needed for quinoline derivatives developed as a potent lead for Anti- Alzheimer\u27s disease. &nbsp

    Impact Of Electromagnetic Induction Heating On Antimicrobial Capacity Of Hydro-Distilled Leaves Of Pelargonium Graveolens

    In this work, the usefulness of electromagnetic induction heating assisted hydrodistillation was investigated for Pelargonium graveolens leaves as a natural source of high value agents. In vitro antimicrobial activity of the extracts was evaluated against six bacterial strains and two fungal strains respectively using disc diffusion and Liquid Macrodilution methods. A comparative study on quantitative aspects over extraction time proves that conventional hydrodistillation (C-HD) gives an identical extraction kinetic behavior to electromagnetic induction heating assisted hydrodistillation (HD-EMI) with high extraction rates recorded when using HD-EMI. This latter increases the EOs yield for both fresh and dried leaves to (0.41 ± 0.04) % and (0.64 ± 0.03) % respectively versus (0.117± 0.04) % and (0.35± 0.02) % using C-HD. Compared to conventional heating, electromagnetic induction treatments result in 50 % lower extraction time and HD-EMI essential oils show an improved antibacterial activity. Against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, HD-EMI and C-HD EOs show minimal inhibition concentrations (MICs) of 0.17 mg.ml-1 and 0.34 mg.ml-1, respectively. Their MICs reach 0.34 mg.ml-1 and 0.68 mg.ml-1 against Klebsiella pneumoniae and Pseudomonas aerogenosa. The inhibition of Candidas albicans and Rhizopus arrhizus cannot occur at MIC values below 0.68 mg.ml-1. Electromagnetic induction heating is thus a green and effective method for extracting high-value antibacterial compounds from Pelargonium graveolens leaves. Using the DPPH test, Pelargonium leaf EOs show antioxidant activity close to that of gallic acid, further demonstrating its potential as a promising source of preservatives in the food industry. &nbsp

    A Deep Learning Approach For Automated Rice Disease Detection And Classification

    Rice is considered one the most important plants globally because it is a source of food for over half the world’s population. Like other plants, rice is susceptible to diseases that may affect the quantity and quality of produce. Because of this, crops sometimes lose 20% to 40% of their value. A good harvest can depend on early discovery of these diseases, so farmers would need to be able to read and understand images of the diseases. Also, farmers still can\u27t reach their goal of doing daily studies of their huge farmlands. It would be very expensive to do this, so the price of rice for buyers would go up even if it were possible. This paper proposed a pre-trained Deep Convolutional Neural Network (DCNN) method based on optimization for accurately finding and classifying rice leaf disease. It uses both transfer learning and baseline learning. A precise diagnosis method can find and classify eleven different types of rice diseased healthy, leaf blast, brown spot, bacterial blight and bacterial leaf blight, false stump, neck blast, stemborer, tumgro, hispa, and BPH. The most advanced large-scale architecture, such as XceptionNet, ResNet50, DenseNet VGG19, SequeezeNet and CNN used for recognition of the Rice disease, with SGDM, ADAM, RMS propagation optimization methods for predictions for a dataset. The -proposed models were trained and tested using datasets gathered from websites. In the simulation results consistently demonstrate that the XceptionNet model outperforms other architectures in terms of higher accuracy 93.3 %. &nbsp

    Breast Cancer Migration Is Inhibited By Ficus Glomerata Roxb Leaf Column Elute Via An Inflammatory And Apoptotic Cell Signalling Pathway

    Among developed countries, breast carcinoma is one of the most common cancers in women. Breast carcinoma is the result of the fusion of several biological structures, each with its own physiological characteristics and clinical repercussions. The Ficus genus has been reported to have important pharmacological properties in a variety of plants. The current study examined at the anti-mammary action of Ficus glomerata leaf column elute (FGLCE) in 12-Dimethylbenz (α) anthracene (DMBA) driven breast cancer and the mechanism behind it. To produce tumors in female rats, a single dosage of DMBA (25 mg/kg) was injected into the mammary gland. The female rats were divided into five groups- Group I. Control group; Group II- control + FGLCE (100mg/kg of BW); Group III- DMBA treated rats; Group IV- DMBA + FGLCE treated; Group V- DMBA + DOX (5 mg/kg) treated rats. Tumor burden, incidence, and volume were measured at the end of the experiment.The lipid profile (TC, FFA, PL, and TG) in plasma, liver tissue, and mammary tissue were all calculated.At a dose of 25 mg/kg body weight, DMBA inhibits the activity of antioxidant enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione (GSH), and glutathione peroxidase (GPX).DMBA  at a dose concentration 25mg/ kg body weight xenobiotic  markers increased in group III rats When compared to the control group  and glycoprotein p53, and TNF-α, the dose-dependent treatment with FGLCE (P<0.05) significantly reduced .Hepatic markers such as alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate transaminase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), tumor necrosis factor- (TNF-α), and inflammatory mediators such as nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-kB) were considerably (P<0.05) down regulated by FGLCE. FGLCE significantly (P<0.05) reduced apoptotic regulator (Bax), B-cell lymphoma 2 (Bcl-2), and Breast Cancer gene 1 (BRCA-1) expression when compared to DMBA control group rats.Therefore, the findings suggest that FGLCE has a protective effect against DMBA-induced mammary gland in rats

    Evaluating The Seasonal Diversity, Habitat Preference And Assemblages Of Water Birds In Agroecosystem At Central Kerala

    The study proposes to discuss the seasonal water bird diversity, habitat preference, assemblages of water bird species and their conservation problems in different agroecosystems. Field visits were done once in a week during Jan. 2021-Jan. 2023. Freshwater and saline agroecosystems are the study areas used for the water bird survey. The water bird study was conducted by direct observation method, point count method and line transect method. Observations were made using binoculars (10 × 50 Nikon) and video camera (Nikon Coolpix p1000). Based on the pilot study in 2020, we decided to concentrate on 16 species of waterbirds coming in the 3 different orders i.e., Order Pelecaniformes, Ciconiiformes and Suliformes. Compared to the different study areas, a greater abundance of water birds was recorded in the winter season, while a lesser abundance was observed in the monsoon season. The species richness was highest in saline agroecosystem and water bird congregation was more in freshwater agroecosystem.  Saline agroecosystem was the most preferred habitat used for water bird species. Agroecosystems support the globally threatened water bird species such as spot billed pelican, darter, black headed ibis and painted stork. Many factors that are listed below threaten the agroecosystem and it causes the decreasing assemblages of water bird species. They are high water intake due to heavy rain, electric lines, high growth of water hyacinth, fishing nets, solid wastes and garbage deposited from toddy shops, pesticides used in fresh water rice farming, tourism, crackers, high level of fishing activities, habitat destruction, communication towers, predators and white flags were introduced by farmers. &nbsp

    K+ ions crosslinked (KC/MB) Methylene blue photosensitizer loaded composite film is prepared for photodynamic therapy (PDT) application as Photosensitizer released by composite film can conveniently be controlled by using different quantities of K+ ions and this application is based on dynamic interaction between light with suitable wavelength, photosensitizer and molecular oxygen, promoting the death of the target tissue or bacterial cells. In this work, the Methylene Blue (MB) loaded Carrageenan polymeric film was prepared by the method of direct addition of MB into pre-polymerization solution of Carrageenan (KC). This composite film and plain KC film were characterized by FTIR, XRD and SEM analysis. The characteristic peaks of MB photosensitizer were obtained in FTIR spectrum of composite film. The composite film KC/MB shows prominence of amorphous nature may be due to MB is present in very small quantity. The SEM analysis reveals that the composite film (KC/MB) having much more smooth surface texture throughout the film. Finally, the result of effect of variation in degree of crosslinking on amount of MB release is, as the amount of K+ ions used to crosslink the film increases, MB release decreases.        &nbsp

    Following the 2015 outbreak in Brazil, the Zika virus—a member of the Flaviviridae family that causes a disease spread by mosquitoes—became more well-known globally. There have been concerning indications during this outbreak that Zika infection may have contributed to fetal microcephaly and other neurodevelopmental disorders. The virus also results in thrombocytopenia, multi-organ failure, and uveitis, an inflammatory condition that can cause blindness in adults. It may spread through sexual contact and the placenta, a mode of transmission uncommon in other flaviviruses. The fetus eventually develops microcephaly and neurological abnormalities as a result of the virus infection. Despite its severity, no particular medication or vaccine is currently available to treat it. In conclusion, knowledge of ZIKV pathogenesis may aid in the fight against its worldwide outbreak

    Background: Neurological diseases resulting from nervous system injuries can significantly impact nutritional status and the physical and cognitive capacities necessary for maintaining a sufficient diet. This study focuses on primary nutritional therapies for neurological illnesses. Methods: An integrative literature review was conducted using three databases: PePSIC, Medline, and LILACS. A comprehensive search strategy was employed, incorporating descriptors such as neuropathies, nutritional therapy, efficacy, and side effects. Results: After applying inclusion criteria, 175 relevant items were identified. While traditional medical interventions for neurological conditions typically involve medication, food therapy has shown promise in enhancing clinical outcomes and alleviating symptoms for certain diseases. Specifically, food therapy has been effective in improving the prognosis of adrenoleukodystrophy and mitigating symptoms of Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome and epilepsy. Conclusion: Patients with neurological illnesses, such as adrenoleukodystrophy, Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome, and epilepsy, may benefit from dietary interventions to improve prognosis and alleviate symptoms. Therefore, healthcare professionals should consider incorporating food therapy into the treatment plans for these conditions to optimize patient outcomes
